Scammed by a Real Life Friend
I'm pretty sure they don't really care; almost all the RWT methods I've seen/heard of since they nerfed the old ones are around 1-2M an hour, which limits the market severely; its pretty hard to buy 100M and use it right away now, it'll take almost a week for most methods. But yeah, I am surprised that a lot of TIFers don't realize that RWT still exists and thrives.... That's because a lot of TIFers want proof before believing something, unlike, say, people at the RSOF. I don't believe that it's effective or thriving at all, and I'll need hard evidence for you to convince me. Oh, and OT: I don't see how it's possible to transfer wealth across accounts that quickly.

I swear I've seen #12 elsewhere. It's a great idea though.

15 years in jail for possession of manga...
But what's the difference between drawn cp and movies/games of people stealing, killing, torturing, etc? Why does that line all of a sudden appear when we talk about cp, even though the media is completely fine with all the other obscene representations that you can think of? I think it's because people feel more passionate about it, and rightly so. You're right though, we need to get rid of double standards and have a law which covers all types of mature content which is classified as such for any reason. As dizzle229 said, a victimless crime is not a crime. There are always going to be moral issues with drawn CP, but it's not clear cut enough to justify a law.

electronic cigarettes
It's much cheaper, and still calms you down. It might be 'phoney', but what are you trying to achieve with the 'real' thing?

Greatest Cause of Human Misery
The primary human notion of happiness. It's psychological equilibrium. If we try to make ourselves happier, we take the results of our attempts for granted and become no happier than if we had never tried to make a difference. It's no wonder we feel miserable.

Jagex C.E.O MMG Interview: Part 3 of 3
This is Jagex we're talking about, they probably could break the int barrier easily but it would mean increases in server load and the like. Anyway, what could you do with 3b of anything in the game that you couldn't do with 2b? I hardly think it would be different for Mechscape.

Graphical Updates: Good or Pointless?
People say, "Runescape, yeah, it's good...it has terrible graphics though." Well, now it doesn't have terrible graphics. So yeah. Plus, the graphics team and the content team are comprised of different people, so it's not like content is just being sacrificed for graphics. Nothing wrong with making stuff look nicer if it isn't getting in the way of new quests and stuff. I suppose you have a point, but it is still behind in graphcis :S. It is one of the best browser games, but you can get games such as Shaiya and Last Chaos that are 100% free with amazing graphics. I just feel the only thing keeping people from those games was the gameplay, which has recently gone to crap. From your examples, it shows that doing graphics too much damages a game, but RS is far from reaching the point of too much. At the moment, better graphics would benefit this game. Let's consider updating graphics as a waste of resources when it's clear that we don't need them. To be honest, if you can't follow the incredibly shallow curve of the minimum SD requirements over time, you need to get someone else to upgrade your computer. Get a £40 graphics card or something, you won't regret it.

15 years in jail for possession of manga...
Something has gone wrong here. The reason why CP is illegal is because it exploits children. Nobody is being exploited here, I would have thought that "visual representations of the sexual abuse of children" refers to images or videos of actual CP. Not manga. I reckon we have a confusion of terms here instead of a government with intentional unjust laws.

Oh, that better have not have been the reward. I really hope Jagex actually thought of a proper reward.

Controlling the camera angle with the mouse
Actually, that would work quite well. Although a right click brings up the object interface menu, right click and drag would mean we could move the camera without interfering with other stuff. I like it.

But this stupid? I mean, surely there's a limit.

I'm sorry, people can not be this stupid...
I'm not sure whether anybody actually believes in these, it's just a way to annoy people. At least, I've never met one of them. :|

wilderness ditch
Because there are revenants in the wilderness which would likely reduce a new player into a pile of moldering bones. It's still one of the most dangerous areas in runescape for an inexperienced, or unprepared player. If the massive sign with the skulls can't stop a wandering inexperienced player, I don't think the ditch would either. Face it, it serves no purpose.

North Korea Conducts Nuclear Test
I agree with you, but seriously what is this babble ? 1.)" Hiroshima and Nagasaki". Firstly this was never an issue and a element to this thread. Whoever brought it up should piss off. 2.) "cannot lecture others on the issue of nuclear weapons while it is the only nation to have used them" again irrelevant. Alothough it may decrease the believability and validity of the argument, it doesn't make it wrong. On a global scale what happened over half a century ago, may be relevent it different spheres but here the only thing at hand is NK's use and development of nuclear weapons and its intentions to utilize them. Why cant it lecture, bad for the "international image". No. 2.) "the only nation to have used them and still has a massive stockpile" Application is entirely different to intention. This massive stockpile argument has no good argument. 3.) "the US isn't in a position to judge on this issue" Why ? I can't see why. Explain more clearly. What you're saying is that the US should keep its mouth shut because it has a better postion [or worse if you see it in that light] in terms of commenting on NK's nuclear technology. It's an extraneous argument because firstly it says that ones in postions of power have no right to say anything because of this, which is in a way postive discrimination. And secondly equating matters of world peace and securityto pre - cold war notions is well - stupid. IT HAS NO RELEVANCE. Bah, I'm bad at conveying my thoughts transparently. Posessing nuclear weapons gives you no lesser or greater right to comment on anything. Except the NPT which is a pile of [cabbage]. EDIT: Spelling As for your second point, it is relevant whether you agree or not - it is the argument that is used by nations with nuclear ambitions to justify their positions, by painting the US as hypocrites they can get their countries behind them on the issue. This issue therefore gives these nations a logical argument that they can use to justify their position. That is why the US can't pass judgement on the issue - because they've put the nuclear bomb into practice and the North Koreans (and the Iranians) will use that fact to bolster their arguments for having them. I do think that NK should not have these weapons but I think the case for them not having them and the pressure on NK has to come from others (primarily China and Russia because they're friendlier to NK). The US does have a role to play in this issue but in my opinion they can't take the leadership role because of their use of the bomb and how that fact can and will be so easily exploited by NK. I agree. The US can engage in peace talks, but they cannot demand others to disarm nuclear weapons. Hypocrisy is a very important thing here, as it will severely damage peace talks, even those not relevant to nuclear weapons. Nobody likes to listen to a hypocrite, and the last thing we need is to give NK a solid reason to break the already fragile negotiations with the UN. Sorry America, you might have good intentions, but we need a leader without double standards.

Coping with the Death of a Friend
I'm sorry for your loss, and the best way to deal with it is just grieving take it's course. Let it sink in, no matter how painful, accept it, and move on. Death can strike at any time, and it's tragic when it happens to someone so young, but it's what makes life so valuable.

North Korea Conducts Nuclear Test
No, but I reckon NK will gradually bend the rules (and the tolerance of other countries) further and further until it breaks. I really hope we don't try to appease Kim, it hasn't worked in the past and it won't work in the future.

How Could the Holocaust Happen? - A Social Experiment
A large amount of them are islamic extremists(damn cliched term) who want to further their anti Israel goals by denying one of the reasons Israel was created. Then of course there will be some neo nazis and after that just plain idiots. The only group I can see being "legit" are people who think the death numbers are overrated; however, I fail to see the need to fight numerical semantics on something like genocide. I don't think that answered his question. He wanted to know how people are able to deny the Holocaust, not why or who does it. How do they justify their beliefs? I mean, to convince others, they must have ways to justify themselves, even if it is by flawed logic.

North Korea Conducts Nuclear Test
Haha, North Korea is the most pathetic country ever. I just hope that they don't actually make a nuclear missile to see what happens.

Conservative Host Scoffs Waterboarding; Is Waterboarded; Say
Yeah, please post a reason for your opinions or you'll end up with the reputation of Robert. Anyway, you say torture is torture, but you still haven't proven to me that it's torture. There's no harm being done to the person it's happening to. No physical harm. I think its a little naive to say all torture is physical. It IS. Phsycological harm doesn't matter, if it gets us the information we want without killing the guy, then so be it. And you're not going to get you're information if they don't feel like they're being harmed. Tbh, stop acting like we're just grabbing random people and doing this to them. If it's happening, there's a good reason. Of course psychological harm matters! In fact, that's the part of physical torture that makes it torture! If someone didn't feel or mind about having their arm cut off, it would hardly be classified as torture, would it? Mutilation maybe, but not torture. Besides, to say that if the US says it's right means that it's undoubtedly right is a fallacy. There is no such thing as an absolute moral authority which has human (and therefore flawed) components.

Conservative Host Scoffs Waterboarding; Is Waterboarded; Say
Haha, now he gets that it's torture. He deserves kudos for actually trying it out for himself to justify his beliefs, and others should follow suit if they still want to say that waterboarding is not torture.
