Well they do have morals in a sense. I mean, their chemical nature determines what is right or wrong. Isn't not eating ALL your offspring in order to pass on genetic material a moral? Aren't morals derived from natural instincts and emotions? If so then if something has emotions or at least natural instinct to do anything, then it should also have morals.

Now, if we make annoying assumptions (which I'm sorry for) you might even say he doesn't enjoy causing suffering, but instead doesn't feel the empathy for others, so sees it as an extension of his assertion of superiority. I think TKAM is overrated. Why is that? I'm not going to bash your opinion or anything, just wondering. :P Its ok, but I never really enjoyed it much until the court case, that was really the only interesting part of the book. I don't consider it to be a "classic."

Well I just never came across a problem where science and philosophy seem to disagree, mostly because there are many philosophical views. So the ones that I perceive to be the most correct make sense with science.

I like eating animals, they provide a good meal. If someone tells me it is morally wrong or whatever, I couldn't care less. I do have some sympathy for the animals that I eat, I wouldn't want to torture them, ( like unfortunately some people do). But I don't care enough about them to not eat them, I don't care how others might perceive that, it is just who I am.

Ha, I'm in a similar situation. There is this one girl that I was flirting with for a bit, but now I'm not really interested in her, and actually find her a bit annoying. But she still texts me and talks to me all the time during class ( she sits next to me). I don't act interested.. but I don't know how much of an effect that is having. I'm just hoping that she will get bored with me :P
