People are saying that using melee on Nex while she soul splits will get her to switch to protect from melee quicker, any truth to this?

Hmm. Did a 7 man trip with swh's yesterday. Seems to me that the best team set up is to have 1-2 meleers but the rest ranging. Maybe this is only true with swh, but melee does seem to have a higher dps. The issue is that all his area attacks get worse if everyone is piling on him at close range, and you lose rounds of combat when she runs around if you don't have range. The boss certainly isn't all that bad. Little risk of ko if you know what you're doing. Very fun too imo.

Lol well the non-buyable skills are the hard part. Making money is pretty easy. Alternately... you can realize that for most "buyable" skills there are cheap methods that yield about the same exp/hour as an average unbuyable.

Yay. Maybe I will actually have a new goal to work towards in maintaining my status of owning all combat items I deem useful. I like to kill bosses. I like high level items. Sounds good to me.

Bounty hunter and pvp worlds are basically the wilderness. People nowadays are a lot richer on average.

I would have to disagree. Managing to get 1/5 hp back on most of your attacks is great. Yes, it's a bit hard to pull off but not really. Maybe it helps me to have divine and not have to eat as often.

With rapier I think you can do 3 flashes then wait one round, 3 flashes then wait, etc.

And I really do hope the extreme potions are allowed. Just annoying to selectively limit which skills can give you an advantage and which cannot.

When you click on the house options button your overload timer does not go down, boosted stats don't go down, etc. So if minions are killed faster you can do this for longer, making the overloads last a bit longer. Not a huge advantage at bandos, but it is a cool trick to know.

House tab trick..? Wait, do you mean turning on build mode so that your overload time and prayer doesn't drain..? Yep.

As someone with rapier and longsword with divine, my feel-based analysis for bandos is that longsword has a slight edge over rapier when using divine. This would probably change with a defender. But as noted above, minion kills are a LOT easier, allowing for more health from soul split between kills. It also means overload time is saved by doing the house tab trick for longer.

Definitely helps to have 6 different offers, each for 1 item instead of 1 offer for 6 items.

Generally skilling fails for money and combat is where it's at. I can't give any sort of concrete numbers for your level, but I would agree that killing dragons may be a good way to start. There are some new dragon spawns in the chaos tunnels if you weren't aware of those. Another decent idea is to train slayer or something where you will make small profits from the monsters, but get combat stats up which leads to higher future potential. Once you have enough money (750k is the minimum you need to have in the kingdom at all times in order to spend 75k per day) you should do kingdom. Make sure you've done both quests for 15 workers. Not worth it right now though since you can't put in enough.

I'd switch to v skirt at least, but yes, all you need to do is SS flash. Should never need a unicorn (or any food) for slayer.

Meh. My first bad death was because I set up a cannon next to an ogre shaman. Didn't even know they were attackable at the time. Lost guthan + fire cape (cape was very rare back then) and stuff, and guthan was 30m at the time. If you already wanted to quit then just do it. If you're just frustrated remember that it really won't take all that long to make it back. If your internet is inconsistent, use ring of wealth in the future.

Golvellius pretty much has it right. Follow the people wearing armadyl. Look for the people whining about stackers and pkers and those who say "Ll" a lot. If you ever win a game make sure to switch teams because the "pros" on the other team will call 15 of their "pro" friends to defend "their" world from stacking noobs like you.

That used to work, doesn't anymore. I managed to get almost every kill by using a range weapon (rune thrownaxes), and just standing beside a spawn facing it. Had mouse hovering directly over where it would spawn. Just click fast :P

I find that switching to a ranged weapon right after getting knocked back by a cyclossus allows you to not get your kill stolen. Putting your back against a wall helps too.

What do helms even have to do with it? They're going to crash like... tomorrow.
