  1. If I change my graphics settings to open gl mode, all of the images and stuff like that shift up about an inch, while the frames stay in the same place... For example, my mini map looks like an empty circle with a picture of the map floating sort of above it
  2. Eh. I don't look down on it. But I certainly don't look up to it. Cooking was my first "skill" to 99... and by that I mean first non combat skill - after maxing every combat skill.
  3. There are also instances where they didn't make it easier, such as their refusal to weaken nomad. That's not even kind of the same thing. The examples above are cases where either they simply lowered the amount of time taken to do something. Nomad is supposed to be a combat challenge. Also: He is ridiculously easy. Did it on my first try using like 5 brews.
  4. They need it for the banking scroll. It is probably worth it if you don't let it slow you down, especially if you're just looking for profit from slayer. I have no idea what summoning pot prices are atm though.
  5. Yes, Graardor is probably the most killed boss. Lootshare worlds are pretty much never open. Regular worlds are open more often, but there are tons of people looking to crash. Don't use mage - it barely hits even at a high level in max gear. Don't range unless you have really bad melee gear/stats. Use rune crossbow and diamond bolts. For melee... typically I would say that whip is better - however this might not be true at your stats. The accuracy of the godsword might be needed. Bandos would be best for the defence reduction if it hits. Zamorak godwars is always open... but it's much harder than bandos and you need a higher leveled person to tank.
  6. My current goals are to get at least 100 dungeoneering + ccb, maul, staff and rigour. Will see how long that takes and how I feel about dungeoneering at that point. Will likely not be on for more than a few hours until May though.
  7. Hope to really get into dungeoneering starting in May (when school is over). Did a few floors with DGS this weekend that went fairly well (35-40 mins, with a few less experienced people (me included since I'm out of practice)). Really need to get my SSH soon though... will probably end up being level 90+ before I get it since I'm already 89.
  8. No way. I was calculating myself at over 170k melee experience per hour with a rapier on a LRC slayer task - no way a maul could beat this. They seem to have slightly high slash defence, but almost no stab or crush defence, meaning the faster weapon is always better.
  9. are most things posted on rs wiki actually wrong? Most of their objective info (ex. black demons have X hp, and are located at Y) is correct. I use it a lot for stuff like this. I wouldn't follow any sort of guides or suggestions listed there however. In this case, I think they are totally wrong. However, if perhaps black demons ARE slightly more weak to crush, it still isn't worth using any crush weapons because they all suck compared to rapier. Wiki rarely takes these kinds of efficiency calculations into account.
  10. I buy more CDs than anyone else my age I know... and probably download more too. No one is going to take the side of the music industry when they throw around ridiculous and antagonistic lawsuits like this. People are simply too used to being able to pirate now. The music industry needs to adapt, not us. There's no way they will win this... people will find a way to share music no matter what the laws are. I'm not saying it's right (and this is why I choose to support certain bands by buying CDs, going to concerts, buying shirts, etc.), but there is just too much music out there for individuals to afford... and music is not something I wanted to have limited access to because of financial reasons. Or even practical reasons: CDs and large, clunky, and low quality... Takes forever to rip to computer, play in a CD player, etc. compared to how long it takes to click play on a computer. Legal downloading is currently just as expensive, and usually limited in selection.
  11. Either a patch by jagex or someone mucked up the code (hopefully its the latter) It seems to be spot-specific. 2 fishing spots right beside each other, one gives normal experience, one gives a fraction of the correct experience. Better not be deliberate...
  12. Doing my first C2 solo dungeon of the day, and some fishing/woodcutting spots seem to be randomly giving me less experience than normal. (105 exp for thigat tree instead of regular 210, only 67.5 ish exp for a salve eel...) Anyone know why?
  13. I said $10. Still pretty cheap. Only way I'd pay more is if they improved customer support and overall reliability. For me, that's the big thing. Reliability: Numerous errors in knowledge base that never get fixed, Jagex Mods spouting incorrect information, game breaking bugs and oversights, etc. Customer support: It sucks. Seriously. People who have been playing (paying for years) get insta-banned when some random kid in the GE reports something that is taken out of context. When they appeal they get an automated response telling them to follow the rules next time.
  14. You should always rush. In a solo C6 there is almost no reason to do any skilling. Shouldn't need any armour/food other than what is dropped. Basically, open as many doors as you can (hopefully all, but not a huge deal if you can't), then kill the boss and exit. Make it your goal to get through these dungeons as fast as possible. I believe under 10 minutes is a good time for a C6 small solo. Just do whatever you have to do to get high enough to start doing large floors. You can try teaming a bit on the way if you can find a competent team, but few people do large floors (or are competent) at that level.
  15. Left 'em on because: 1) Was playing poker with roommates and we needed to be able to see 2) Was watching hockey game Simply too inconvenient for me to do so.
  16. KC aside, KQ is harder to kill than the other Godwars bosses, at least in terms of damage output and how long you can stay per trip. OT: Part of the reason that there aren't really clans like this is that you simply get crashed too often in a low level team.
  17. Same thing happened to me, try going to the graphics options and switching between the different graphics settings, one of them is direct x or something i think.
  18. Bleh :( Still upset that I missed bunny ears and scythe. I was just starting back then, and missed them simply because I didn't know about holiday events. Oh well. I'll get the 10 year cape in like 2 years.

Some sort of engineer, possibly working in the area of robotics or material science/material testing. I'll see what I'm most interested in after completing my undergrad degree, and see what jobs I can land, or if I can get into any good graduate programs.
  20. Teams will not take you without at very least 68 summoning for war tortoise or something. Nor is it really worth going. Your defence is also very low and should probably go up to be about equal with range. Low prayer won't help either.
  21. Meh, managed to get on and power through 215k slayer experience in less than 2 hours, so I'm happy.
  22. Wooooooooooooooooot. Finally reached 99 slayer. I started training slayer the day it came out... and have just now reached 99. I've always liked the skill, but didn't particularly like spending extended periods doing it. I got 85 slayer back in like 2006 when whips were still worth a lot (maybe 4m each? Note that money was worth more at the time). For 60-85 slayer or so, I slayed using guthan body and legs with a black mask, whip, and rune kiteshield. Some of that was before black masks were out :P Since getting 85, I've trained the skill on and off, doing a few tasks at a time, sometimes going all out for a bit when I got closer to a level. My training was definitely hindered by the fact that I loved combat, and had acquired significant amounts of experience past 99 in every combat skill when I was still around 90 slayer. Not exactly sure what I will do next! I have had next to no playing time recently due to school and other stuff, so can't try for too much until the end of April. My only current goals of any sort are to get 100 dungeoneering/all chaotic weapons (88/100), 99 farming (93/99), and as many pieces of Nex armour as I can (way too poor/a lot).    Definitely been the longest skill goal I've ever completed. Feels pretty good to be finally there
  23. I have one of the busiest weekends I've ever had with school and whatnot, so not really preparing. Just gonna see if I can get on and do a few slayer tasks if I have time. Only 200k to 99 slayer, so might as well try to take a chunk out of that.
  24. Assuming you're competent with making money, you should aim to max offense before worrying about prayer at all, really.
