  1. Heh. I almost feel the same. I didn't stake my bank away... but I tripled my cash pile in the first hour of free trade, then banked it and walked away. The next day I went back - got greedy and wanted more. I lost everything I won and a little bit more, leaving me with a slightly smaller pile of gp than I started. The temptation to just stake it all again to get back to where I was is pretty strong. It does seem frustrating and slow to slave away - even doing a "fast" money making activity - when you know someone lucky can have 100x more than you ever will in minutes.
  2. Meh. I have both, hardly touch CLS now. However - I still maintain that it is better for bandos soloing (using divine). Rapier is too innaccurate without a defender, and I like to have a shield to last longer.
  3. Agreed. I would go kill Nex way more often if the armour pieces actually reached their true price. I simply don't have enough time to play to build up LSP, since they decrease automatically each day. I understand why the GE works the way it does (people could manipulate the price of a small-supply item too easily otherwise), but I don't see why they don't just step in for items like partyhats and ancient armour and set the prices up by 500m - people simply won't trade it through the GE often enough for it to rise properly - especially at only 5% per day.
  4. But if you stake 100m, you could have 200m!!! (or lose it all)
  5. Rank #1 in Creation

Procrastinating like always. Should be studying for my fluid mechanics midterm tomorrow, instead I'm browsing the internet/TIF. Even worse because I'll end up watching the superbowl in 2 hours. Not a football fan, but I usually watch the superbowl and all my roommates will be watching. Gonna be a late night.
  7. Look into taking one of those prep courses. My girlfriend is taking the MCAT in the summer, and she'll be taking the Princeton Review MCAT course. I don't know much about them, or which one is better, but a lot of people say it really helps you do well. Not to mention that they provide you with books/review material for each section that is on the test. Pretty expensive I guess (~$2 thousand for a course, which I believe is about 100 hours of prep lessons). I'm not taking it, but I would probably do a prep course like this if I was. I've also heard that Examkrackers(.com) is really good, and they have an online store where you can buy review materials, as well as offering live courses. Just a disclaimer - this is all 2nd-hand info. I'd do a little online research, maybe try to ask anyone you know who is in med school what they used.
  8. Fought a guy in the wilderness yesterday who had full torva, he said it was going for about 4b. Seems about right since there are definitely offers over 1b for each piece. Hard to really tell though when it's so rare. (yes, I got my ass kicked)
  9. Looks like it to me, unless they've gone down a bit (probably have). Congrats on the divine, now you'll be even more unkillable :P Too bad they don't work in duels with no pray though.
  10. With the new wine method using cooking brawlers, I can't see top players ever using any other method. Money is easy enough to get hold of for a top player that 250m is almost nothing, and with wines being over 2m exp/hour... For average players though, it is a great time to train cooking.
  11. I have a small cashpile compared to my items (divine :P), but managed to double it staking after a few hours. Can pull in a few mil per hour flipping - will have to see what that's like in a few weeks when people get used to no limits GE. Also yet to be seen if Jagex leaves the GE with no limits on how often you can sell and then re-buy items.
  12. Dang, gonna go try this out now. Already 99 cooking, but I have a spare pair of gloves I am willing to use up. Just did it myself. Wow. I actually feel sorry for people who already have 200m cooking. And 99 cooking is now even more of a joke.
  13. I'm skeptical that it would be able to consistently beat a sol. Why not just get your own sol?

Totally depends on the type of physics. I'm taking a dynamics course that is essentially applied calculus, but in high school everything was simplified (linear, constant acceleration, etc). Don't think I actually had to use real calculus at all during high school physics. Maybe for a few position/velocity/acceleration with respect to time questions.
  15. How do you actually? :P spam clicking them works for me :P You click right as it says 1 - spam clicking works too. :P Really not hard, but funny how many people went into a fairly big stake with me yesterday and failed to do that. What if you both do that =] Then you're both hitting at the same time, which, really, is what should happen all of the time.

  17. There are a lot of noobs there atm, I was managing to win over 75% of my stakes (as a maxed player) yesterday, simply because people don't know how to get first hit.
  18. Hehe, lots of people who aren't very good at getting first hit are duelling right now. Not getting into big stakes while there are still glitches, but might eventually. Everyone seems to be doing the sol thing now, so there's no advantage there. Another interesting thing I saw was the use of an EEE spec at the beginning of the duel instead of vls/dds/sol, but it didn't seem to work quite as well.
  19. There's still way, way more updates aimed to new players, and there are still way, way more low level players playing. Yes, high levels are prominent now... but that depends where you go, and skills are a lot easier to train now. Far from dying.
  20. My current plan is to have a steel titan with me in single just for the +15% defence.
  21. HUGE nostalgia at that W2 Falador map; I correctly remembered almost all of the sections on the map without looking. OT: No. It'll stay at GE primarily.
  22. Bleh. I will be pretty annoyed at this; I tend to risk my chaotic rapier, and ~50m of stuff when I go in there for slayer. Guess I have to go the long way through the statue entrance...
  23. Almost all dungeons on w148 are in the 40-70 minute range. Either get good at carrying your team while keying, find a new team/friends, or just deal with it.
  24. Yes - you need the cape if you're set on using god spells. However, you are really better off with fire surge and a staff of light. It hits just as high as god spells, and gives more experience. Not to mention you can keep the sw cape.
  25. Suppose there might be some opportunity to make a lot of money staking against dumb pures that weren't around during the days of actual staking. However, I don't imagine that will last for too long. And as someone who does not have a pure, I haven't decided if I want to get involved in the real of maxed-stat staking where it really is 90% luck.
