  1. I got 99 herblore before extremes came out... and regret it now. I've now gone 4 million exp past 99 making all of the untradable pots I missed out on, and I'm always running out as it is. It depends on your play style I guess, but I go through a lot of pots.
  2. I would think that the knockout aura would actually be more useful to someone like you with lower stats and non-maxed out gear. The DPS boost for someone who is maxed is a lot lower.
  3. Assuming you COULD get 9,000 Loyalty points for Month 5 it is pretty sad that amount you get if you cancel membership and renew back decreases by 4,000 plus - possible 2000 points. So in order to get most loyalty points you must be member and keep renewing, with money. So money is making you have a advantage/or progress better than others for Loyalty rewards. I thought Jagex were supposed to make content avaible in-game, not sell them. That's literally the point of the update. They want to encourage people who only subscribe periodically to remain members all the time, and discourage everyone from cancelling. Whatever. I won't get into what I think of the way it was implemented, but I suppose it works out well for me because I never cancel my subscription. I chose the sharpshooter aura, mostly for Nex. Will probably either get reverence next, or save for jack of all trades (assuming new ones aren't released). Reverence is probably the most useful overall, but not really for what I've been doing recently. I can see knockout being very good for low level players only, but the bonus is pretty much negligible for high levels. I don't skill enough to consider the others
  4. Yes you should have, since they told us that's how it was going to work weeks ago
  5. trolololol "update in 1 hour" "lol actually there's a bug, don't worry, it will be out when it's ready@@@ trollface.jpg" [bleep] off jagex I stayed up for this :(
  6. Just want to comment and say that while the math may be fine, that is an epic survey bias.
  7. I'm not really a f2p expert, but if you mage at all than I imagine the arcane necklace would be 100% worth it. Nothing else in the necklace slot even comes close for maging.
  8. This. I don't really think an archer (i) --> warrior (i) switch is worth the inventory space. Onyx is great because it gives good slash and range bonus, while also providing more defence than any ring - it makes her miss more. Yes, she'll also tank less, but ideally everyone will have the onyx ring so this won't be a case of someone being selfish.
  9. The wiki is good for straight up facts about the game (ex. where something is, how much exp you get, name of a certain npc). However, the guides are almost exclusively awful, and you should not listen to the gear setups listed at all. Don't bother trying to change it either - it will just get reverted.
  10. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I think rapier is best for every task other than waterfiends and wyverns. In response to someone above, rapier is better for miths.
  11. Quit. I have all of the stats required to do the fun things. What is the point of botting just to get some more meaningless capes? It's an achievement to do it on your own... botting is just [bleep]ing stupid and the game would die quickly.
  12. Absolutely no chance of this. :( He said it would be easier than Nomad, and I think a fight would have to be literally twice as hard as Nomad for me to come anywhere close to not being able to do it first try. Anyway, great Dev Blog, really looking forward to this quest.
  13. Why do you assume you attach it to an item? I know that's kinda what it looks like, but they will have their own equipment slot.
  14. It's pretty much confirmed that they will have stats or boost you in some way. Depending on how long it takes to obtain useful rewards (yes, I know that Jagex says we can take advantage right away... but I'm not going to spend all of my points on an aura of herpderp when I can get something useful by waiting a few months/years/decades), I will probably never buy any of the cosmetic items or emotes.
  15. - They botted and got stats lowered - It's not a chaotic rapier - If you're talking about the duel arena, they might have switched accounts on you to a different account with almost the same name.
  16. In light of the fact that Nex can now be soloed... I am changing my response to just Nex.
  17. Jagex does email you, but not about that kind of stuff. Clearly a scam, don't click the link.
  18. Meh. The instanced mini game system has some potential to be useful. Maybe this will lead to other stuff being like this in the future that is more useful. As for world queuing, I feel like this will actually make it more difficult to log into worlds than the old system (spam click), but maybe not, will have to try it out.
  19. Definitely rapier. As far as spec weapons go, I'm fairly sure that anything other than claws would actually slow you down.

Well, as a mechanical engineering student I'm taking ~6 classes per semester that are math/physics based, so I am used to doing a lot of studying. Presumably this is a summer course where you are cramming everything into 1-2 months though. Personally, what works best for me is to start reading the introduction to a chapter... but then stop reading and jump right into doing the practice questions. I find that if I just try to read straight through a textbook I simply won't absorb any of the information. Once I get to a question that I can't solve, I go back to the textbook and find the specific section that deals with that type of question, and learn how to do it. As far as time... I've never kept to a strict schedule where I just study for a certain number of hours. I just do it until I feel ready. During exam periods and before major assignments I certainly studied for 8+ hours per day, however I very rarely did that much studying/homework just for regular assignments and practice questions. However, I am also very good at "cramming" right before an exam, and sometimes do not spend as long doing work between exams as I should. In conclusion... you probably know best how you study. Don't feel obligated to sit there for 8 hours doing nothing, but spend more if you need to.
  21. That is almost definitely a glitch - the guy is 95 strength, and I don't think he had max strength gear. He definitely didn't have a cape or dragon boots. Also, his response after hitting it was "l0l team hax son" or something similar.
  22. So yeah... my answer would be Nex. However... apparently no-lifing has been re-defined to mean something that can be done solo (??), then probably dagannoth kings because there are many different ways to kill them and it might keep me more entertained. Alternately, I think it would be fun to get better at soloing corp - people can do it very easily now, but I've only done it once.
  23. Haha, I saved up forever to get the 2.4m it used to cost to buy one back in the day.
