Rs Wiki's calculator is correct, but it's displayed in a weird way. You need to input '1', as in the chance of getting an effigy from 1 kill, to get the drop rate.

I always get INTJ on these tests, although I've always thought these kinds of tests are pretty meaningless. I spent a bit of time on an INTJ forum, but stopped because it was almost like a self fulfilling prophecy for a lot of them... "this test says I'm an INTJ, so I better start acting like an INTJ in order to impress all of my INTJ friends with how much of an INTJ I am" I mean, it accurately describes a lot of personality traits I have, but I don't believe that these rigid classifications are helpful.

Excited for the Dominion Tower, hope it turns out to be a good high level combat update. And lol at people saying that we have enough high combat content... Currently I'd say that Nex and Corp are the ONLY monsters we have that are really aimed at maxed players. The rest of the bosses can easily be soloed 20-30+ times per trip. There is so much low level content that it's impossible to even do it all without becoming high level in the process.

Bank pins can be reset after 7 days, so that's completely normal if you've been hacked. Was it a player mod or a Jagex mod? Either way, chances are that they were spontaneously met as a friend and the modship is irrelevent, or that the person just added the mod and hasn't actually talked to them.

When I'm actually being effecient probably 5-10m. When I'm valuing my time in comparison to doing something that is boring or that I dislike (such as most click-intensive non-combat skills), I'll value my time at 15-20m+ just so I can avoid doing boring stuff. I also enjoy making money (pvm).

In general, I'd be wary of anyone who wants to do an unfair duel, especially if you're inexperienced, because they are probably tipping the odds in their favour.

I have 3 sections of calculus homework, a circuits assignment, a kinematics/dynamics assignment, a fluid mechanics assignment, and a materials selection assignment all due pretty soon. This is in addition to the few pre-lab assignments I need to do before next week, and the looming midterms. :sad:

wow, does this mean the floor of soa is not reduced on corp? (or is it good because it helps all the other team members by lowering def. if it actually does have high dps on corp, greater than zs, then maybe what you would want to do it use it until corp's def goes down enough so zs>soa). After a quick test, I'd say that storm of armadyl's DPS on corporeal beast when its defence has not been reduced by specials is worse than ZS. But, since storm of arma's damage is not reduced, it is almost definitely better once you've hit the corp with 1-2 swh specials. BGS/DL/whatever probably aren't enough to make it the best. However that was with no virtus... so I could be wrong.

Flowers for Algernon is a great book. I should read it again. I'm currently reading the Maximum Ride series. My gf gave it to me. Entertaining, but definitely meant for kids.

I saw a bunch of complaining about magic being nerfed at barrows too. Possibly a case of 1 person imagining things and causing everyone else to imagine the same thing. However, I wouldn't be too surprised if something did happen in this case.

After a quick test in crappy gear (ahrims and verac helmet), it also seems to be better DPS than range on the armadyl gwd boss.

I believe slayer is technically the slowest. For farming, you're looking only at the time that you actually spend on planting and checking, not the time between which can be spent doing other stuff.

Boots are like 10-25m now. Staff is 100-150m or something. Both are dropping in price. My guess, based on nothing but hearsay and rough numbers is that boots are ~1/256. (following the powers of 2 thing that jagex seems to do)

Meh, I hate job interviews. I've just never had great public speaking skills. I just have difficulty expressing my thoughts verbally sometimes, and generally feel awkward if I'm forced to speak in a situation where I am not comfortable. This means that for formal job interviews I tend to perform very poorly. I particularly hate it when I have to answer how I'd respond to a made up situation, giving examples of stuff I've done in the past that would make me a good employee, etc. However, when the interviewer is more casual, I actually do pretty well. I've had a few where the interviewer just asked me questions about my interests, about school, about why I need the job, etc. I didn't have to really do much other than answer truthfully and smile a lot. Wasn't put on the spot with stupid questions that don't relate to the job. Unfortunately these types of interviews are always the ones for minimum wage jobs with no qualifications needed, where they're more or less giving the job to whoever they think will be most tolerable to work with. It probably helps to be the only person who isn't a high school dropout applying I suppose :P

I wrote a long post in response to adrenal but it sounded stupid and I realized I didn't really have a point. Essentially, I agree with you overall, however I don't think it's fair to generalize that everyone in a "less rigorous" degree is wasting their time. I do think that many of them are simply uninformed or have been pushed by peers/parents to get a degree when it doesn't make sense for them to do so. When everyone has a degree, it's worth nothing. Lots of people just aren't meant to do a degree, and would be happier (and more successful) by focusing on finding a trade/job instead of spending years/money at university. Another point I think is important is that most people just aren't ready for the real world at 18... I wasn't. A few more years to experience living alone and having to study hard can't hurt. And if you use it as your last chance to party before you get a real job... then sure, probably the same outcome.
