The derivative of y=x^2 is y'=2*x :P (and derive does not mean differentiate) EDIT: you changed it to 2*x^2, and yes, did it correct :grin: Anyway, I was also hoping that I would never have to do limits again, but apparently they need to be re-introduced when you start doing complex analysis and differentiation in the complex plane. It's also much more difficult :( BUT the calculus exam I just finished marks the last "pure math" course I will take for my degree. That being said, all of my classes are based on math so nothing has really changed.

The issue is that dungeoneering bosses have a minimum level. So, as a low level doing a c1, you would be getting the lowest level bosses possible. You need to either party with people higher level, raise your own combat level, or stick to floors where you can defeat the bosses.

First exam over with. 4 more to go, 2 of those being the next 2 days in a row. I HATE having back to back exams. 3 in a row is just stupid. You'd think they could give us a reasonable schedule when EVERYONE in my program has the same classes; it's not like they need to accomodate for other classes.

Currently in my 3rd year of a mechanical engineering degree. I'm leaning towards doing a graduate degree in the same field after graduating, partially because I think it would be interesting and allow me to learn something at a very high level, and partially because I am in no hurry to go out and start working. Studying is stressful sometimes, especially in the middle of exams like I am right now... but my strengths have always been in math/science and academics in general. I plan on contacting some professors soon to see if any of them are willing to hire me as a research assistant over the summer so I can get some real experience and decide if doing grad/research work is what I want to do. Downside: Seeing people update their status on facebook to "wooo finally made it through both of my exams, time for Christmas break!", while you still have 7 exams and 2 weeks to go.

I'd just like to say that I do not think slayer is worth it at that level, unless you have the knowledge/experience that those of us answering do. Sure, if I started a new account, I'd be efficient and use slayer. But when you're new it's just really slow all around. You have to figure out where monsters are, you take inefficient transportation routes because you don't have stuff unlocked, you might not be able to afford pots, no good healing methods available unless you have cash (multiple trips per task), etc. Dunno, probably worth it in the long run, but the combat experience you gain at such low levels is pretty minimal compared to the experience needed for 99 so you won't be set back too much if you decide to go for 99 slayer eventually.

Sold countless rares. I currently have none. For example, I boughtmy yellow when they were ~150m. They dropped to 90-100m. I sold it because I really needed cash. That was the lowest price they ever reached (interval from maybe a year before I bought it until the present). I traded a purple partyhat for a whip. (Yes, they were the same price at one point, ~12m) I've also had mask sets, tons of santas, had piles of disks and pumpkins when they were only a few hundred k each... but got bored and sold them off. So yeah, not as rich as I should be.

I've literally been subscribed as a member for 7 years straight, and I'm vehemently opposed to any changes like this to f2p. I've hardly played for the last few months. I play more in the summer usually, but I imagine that I'll quit eventually. When I do, all records of what I've done in the last 8 years (1 year of f2p first) will just be gone. Why don't I just unsubscribe now then? The end result will be almost the same.

Easiest way to tell is with soulsplit. Otherwise, probably practice flicking protect melee on something that will hit you frequently enough that you'll notice when you mess up. This is different than offensive prayers of course, but by watching when you have to activate it in relation to your attacks you can then apply it to your offensive prayers.

Removing f2p from the hiscores is terrible. It's an awful thing to do to their players (f2p and p2p), and I honestly think it will hurt them more than it will help. Sure, some members who were going to be inactive for a while might stay subscribed so they don't disappear from the hiscores, but just as many free players will feel like the game lacks any sense of accomplishment when they first start, and might lose interest before even considering subscribing. As far as the wiki goes, meh. I'm not particularly concerned about how it competes with fansites (although I'm sure it will). What I'm concerned about is the quality of the information. How much moderation will be put in place by Jagex? What about boss hunting guides? I fully expect to see guides that are factually correct... but that give inefficient or otherwise bad info, leading to the general masses of players following said bad info.

You should be fine if you bring a Kyatt. What he's saying is that regular restore potions actually restore your melee/range/mage more than super restores, but don't restore prayer - meaning that they might actually be more inventory effecient in certain situations (not sure if this is actually true or not).

I got that error yesterday when I bought JoT. Logged on just now to check if I had accidentally glitched without knowing it (I didn't pay attention to # of points). I had 2 of the JoT aura for some reason, but the points had been spent like normal.

My roommate got me into this game in the last few weeks. It's really fun, and I like to think I'm at least above average for my level/time played. I'm definitely best with AP champs (Brand and Malzahar), and suck at melee champions. The community can be bad (awful at times), but it's really fun to play with a group of friends and just laugh at them.

I almost wish that I voted for Runescape just so that WoT didn't come second. They have a REALLY annoying banner that is displayed on Tip.It about half of the time on here that suddenly starts blaring really loud music...

I voted for LoL because my roommate got me into it and I've been playing it more than RS recently. I still consider Runescape to be my main game, but the lack of "high" level content, the bots, and the annoying marketing gimmicks that Jagex is coming out with are annoying to me.

75% sure that missing can still stun, hence why you want low accuracy. Anyone switching to range void is doing it wrong. Everything you said is correct as far as I'm aware. My only tip is to try to not miss chances to stun because you'll probably have nooby teammates that will run around frantically if the core goes near them.

Lol I'm glad I didn't kill frost dragons before, because the inconvenience and lowered kill rate would make me not want to kill them... I'm all for the other changes they made like the random bone spawns, but I am never okay with updates that slow bots at the expense of real players (and they said this was not the case).

You're probably doing it by accident. As mentioned, there used to be a glitch where it would happen, but I think that was fixed.
