85 Slayer - Is it worth it anymore?
sure it's worth it: who knows what other weapons/goodies Jagex will implement on higher slay-level monsters later on in the game ? Better to close that gap already than being confronted later on with yet another missed opportunity.

Abbreviations you detest
Latest I've come across several times now is "kl". I have no clue what it stands for: does it stand for 'ok, lol' or is it short for 'kool' ? I have no clue. I've had 5 people reply it to me now after I told them what I was up to. I guess I'm getting old ;)

Am I the oldest Player??
Reminds me of a friend I had on RS: he used to kid around with my age, me being 32 and him being 22. Used to call me old and gramps, I didnt mind. Then a few months after he came clean and fessed up to being 37, being devorced with two kids. He came from another game and had decided he didn't want to be 'the old dude' again, so he posed as a 22 year old on RS.

hmmmm, maybe I should stop reading forums while abyss-crafting, just had a telle-block thrown at me :wall:

How do you like your skills served?
I like to have it out of the blue for several reasons: - It gives people same grounds to start on the the skill. - The skill won't get hyped in advance, with people expressing their expectations/speculations, so I won't get disappointed when it's finally released: POH is a good example for this. 'Summoning' if ever released is also already hyped. - I like surprises ! ;) On the other hand, it also depends on the skill: a skill like slaying doesn't need much preparation. Basically everyone will be able to grab a weapon and armor from bank and start on the skill. A skill like farming, requires more preparation: getting tools, getting seeds, failed harvests (and a LOT of bank space). Edit : Hmmm I see Trix had same train of thought lol.

Dragon Pic: Coming Soon?
I'd say the other way around: I personally think Jagex increased the effect of the d-axe, to reflect the hardship to get one as a drop and already high market value (1.5 mill for a chopping axe before price raise is still alot). The resulting price raise was in my opinion a secondary effect of increased demand on the better axe and not Jagex' first objective. On that same note: I expect Jagex to tweak d2h as well, to make it worthwile getting people to go see the elemental.

RC Poking...Morally reprehensible?
Yes, it's morally wrong as an abyss pk'er, to have cammy tele-runes on you and use prayer in low-lvl wildy. Even if those 'victims' aren't defenseless. But, it's wildy, so anything goes.

What do you want most? Skill wise
A mega giant giga runecrafting pouch that holds up to 1 k ess in one go :-s. I'd settle for one that could hold 20 though.

Chris 2 8's tips and tricks for dragon hunting
Alternative route is to take a hatchet with you and use the canoe station at edgeville. Then head into 35 wildy with canoe. It's a north-eastish walk from there: saves getting passed the mage bank pk'ers. Its only one way though, because the canoe will sink behind you when you get at your destination. So have a drag ammy with you, to telle out by running south to lvl 30 wildy when your inventory is full.

The rudeness that has plagued Rs (not a rant)
[/rant] Try being in the spotlight......always.......all the time........wherever you walk in, people seem to think since you're high level it gives them the right to : - Call you a no-lifer for no appearant reason other than being high level. - Gives them the right to bug you continuously for free stuff. - Bombard your chat with questions, ask for help/advise: which is perfectly fine, if you accept the fact I'm helping several people in private chat as well, so be patient and I will reply. - Be threatened to be reported (because reporter can't stand high levels)when you tell someone to go to RS-homepage to access the knowledge base, so the person asking the question can get the information him/herself (on several occasions). - Spam trade you to sell awesome cool stuff, without telling what the awesome cool stuff is. - Be called a 'lvl 124' ........I have a game-name: why would I take the effort to respond to someone not taking the effort to type in atleast some part of my game-name ? - Be asked over and over again what my specific levels are when I'm skilling (say smithing). - Be called a high-level snob, when you dont reply within 10 secs of them saying 'mining level': well excuse me, but I have an active friends list and means I'm probably involved in several conversations at the same time and am too busy to reply to the demanded inquiry within 10 secs , Sir ! - Be followed around by beggars. - Be 'ordered' to make free armour when smithing (kids can't say please anymore these days ?) - gives them the right to ask/demand for rediculous price cuts on items, since I'm a high level and can easily afford it (yes, I slave my behind off to get to wealth). - Be asked for free whips almost continuously at abbies (when one beggar finally gives in.........the next will show) Ive tried patiently explaining how to make money in the game, to no avail. There are just too many freeloaders it seems. - Be pestered by people continuously closing doors in rooms, hoping a random event will pop-up that will kill me while im wearing my p-hat.....I've practically stopped wearing the hat because of the attention it drew. Yes, I was a low level myself as well, but I didn't go around bothering others. It adds up to a long list and there's a very nice way to avoid most of it: it's putting public chat to 'friends' or to 'off'. Will I reply to people then ? of course not: I can't see your chat. If that comes across as a high-level snob or me thinking I'm too good to talk to lower level people, so be it. It's far from the truth though. If people approach me in a normal way, they will get a normal reply. Rub me the wrong way and you'll hear about it. Like it says in my forum title: I like minding my own business [/end rant] P.S. I'm all for an option in-game that you can hide your combat level: I think it could be helpful in stopping the rudeness downward spiral.

coolest outfit for under 7.5 million?
You would be ripping goblins and cows to shreds in bronze and elf-shield ! ;) How about rune (t), sara god-cape, whip, cooking gauntlets, blue beret for the distinct look, and mith boots.
-
coolest outfit for under 7.5 million?
hehe cant do fury and whip: has to be under 7.5 mill ........that would be cutting it close with current prices ;)
-
coolest outfit for under 7.5 million?
bronze body and legs, with legends cape (swap for fire cape if you have), cooking gauntlets, desert boots, white beret, elf shield and whip.

Champion Challenge Scrolls?
I have got the Lesser demon challenge scroll. I guess I was lucky reading the other posters here: I got it on a 186 slayer task. Did the scroll, the reward was a banner in a guild I never visit and a bit of slayer xp (I think it was 500 or so xp, I forgot).

bug with running
taken from the RS-manual on their homepage, chapter on moving around (controls): "You can make your character run to a spot by holding the 'CTRL' key on your keyboard before clicking where you wish them to move." So, nope wouldnt call it a bug, wouldnt call it a secret either :P

Punished Unfairly!
The way I would see the mod thinking is: this guy is not gonna alch the rares, he is just going to keep them and sell for the market worth later on. As said before, nobody in his right mind would sell his rares for the alch value, but also, nobody in his right mind set would *alch* them. It could therefore be considered a scam, since poster will probably not live up to the whole alching promise. As to it being a joke: yeah okay, its meant as a joke, but I dont really see anywhere in the forum post that it should be taken as such. In anyways, I think the penalty is too severe for the crime: a warning would have sufficed, or locking of the topic by a forum mod stating reason why. Then again, I'm not a Jagex mod, nor a forum mod.
