God- discussion of any Godly/religous issues.
I guess you haven't seen angry theists then. Tenfold the drama. Nah, I've seen angry theists; they just make me angry, which doesn't really solve much, it just makes me an angry theist, but in a completely different sense.

"I want a girlfriend/boyfriend", and other such relationship advice
Now I'm confused about your definition. Until that clears up, I can't argue with you. Are you saying sexual tension is a pre-req for a relationship, and that it defines what is and isn't a relationship? And she's 19 (sophomore in college), but she also does her research and connects with other people who identify as asexual and tells me about the experiences she reads. Also, it should be irrelevant how old she is unless you're thinking she's like 14 or something. You wouldn't doubt someone as easily if they identified as homosexual. EDIT: Oh yeah, I suddenly remembered what I was going to write. I think it might be best to think of "relationship" as a combination of emotional and physical intimacy. I might draw a pretty graph later, but I don't have time, so I'll do my best to explain without it. Think of a line. On one side of the line is friendship, and the other is romantic relationship. Upping physical intimacy brings you closer to that line, as does upping emotional intimacy. Up them both enough and you enter the realm of romantic relationship. Of course, since upping only one also brings you closer to the line, if you up it enough you'll enter the relationship realm without the assistance of the other factor. Our differences come in that I am viewing more of the higher emotional intimacy end of the spectrum, while you seem to be viewing more of the physical intimacy spectrum.

22-Feb-2010 - Impetuous Impulses Improvements
I got the error message at first, but it also had buttons saying "Quick select the best world for me" (members and free). I just ignored the warning and clicked the members one and the game loaded fine for me.

"I want a girlfriend/boyfriend", and other such relationship advice
It's not a new definition, it's just not your definition. And one of my very good friends happens to be asexual, so I hear plenty about the subject from her. Also, though I don't necessarily believe in this definition, I don't see why attraction defining the relationship doesn't make sense.

No. There is such a thing as a relationship without sex/sexual tension. Think of it the other way. There is such a thing as sex/sexual tension without a relationship. There called [bleep]-buddies. Why can't there be a relationship without sex/sexual tension? Also, what about asexual people? Sexual tension does not exist for them, yet they still feel attraction and a need for a romantic relationship. To define one with the other is just silly, and to make out like the whole world defines "relationship" on that basis is as well.

"I want a girlfriend/boyfriend", and other such relationship advice
Trust me, there's a difference. Not all relationships are all about gettin' jiggy with it, now or eventually. Okay, so maybe eventually. I have countless female friends. I've dated one of them, and there was no way anyone would have called that relationship a friendship, despite it's lack of "sexual tension." Maybe sexual tension is just a bad word for it. Tension exists in a relationship, but that doesn't automatically make it sexual tension. Sex just happens to be one of the more common ways of relieving the tension. I think a better term might be "attraction tension," or something like that.

Sexual tension? What's that? But seriously, it's entirely possible to have a healthy and completely amazing relationship without this "sexual tension" of which you speak.

God- discussion of any Godly/religous issues.
No, he seems to be saying the opposite; religion is popular because of the idea of afterlife and a god, those are the tools used to enforce the moral guidelines. Although I think some far eastern religions (maybe even Buddhism?) are pretty much just moral guidelines to live by and don't promise an afterlife or any rewards. Nah, pretty much all religions provide an afterlife of sorts. Buddhism has so many variations on the idea it's hard to say whether they believe in an afterlife or not. You escape the cycle of reincarnation and achieve enlightenment, at which point... well, all pain and suffering end, though I'm not really sure what that entails. I guess that could be considered a religion with no afterlife, though the cycle of reincarnation is so ridiculously long that it might as well be.

Like omigosh! Its the 80s thread.
For some reason, even though I was born in '89, it still sounds weird to me to hear people talk about being born in the nineties, especially after like 1991. I have no idea why. o_0

"I want a girlfriend/boyfriend", and other such relationship advice
Some people like to have a foundation built to build a relationship upon before going into areas that can be awkward if the rest of a relationship doesn't work out. That being said, "too fast" is relative. It depends on whether you have a foundation you are comfortable with to judge how fast is too fast. And there is definitely not a "timetable" for this; some relationships build a foundation very quickly, others very slowly. Still others skip the foundation and are just in it for no holds barred hookup/"relationship," in which case nothing is indeed too fast. All this being said, from what you said, nerdattack, I don't judge this to be "too fast," even by my stringent ( ) standards.

"I want a girlfriend/boyfriend", and other such relationship advice
Advice for women (and maybe men): Always break a heart when you end a relationship, cause then the person knows that it's over and knows where to start gluing the pieces back together. "Letting him down easy" is a lot more trouble in the long run. And don't hang on to a person when you know you're not interested in that person, like when you're cheating on them. That's low. But you already knew that part.

Lent, you're a badass. Indeed. And in case it hasn't been said recently, I love y'all. You know, in a totally platonic, meaningless, over-the-internet kind of way. o_0 But I love y'all none the less! It's great to have a community to discuss, argue, and laugh about stuff with, even if (or especially if, your choice) we'll never meet in real life. Alright, enough pleasant reflection on community, back to calling Lent a badass!

Professional Firemaking - Do it your way! [New: Videos]
Believe me, once you get good at it, it is so much faster. I had a method going where I could do two inventories at the GE and end up within two squares of the banker both times. And how the heck do you light fires east anyway? o_0

Jagex asked me to be a player mod.
Was the message in your Jagex inbox on the game website? If yes, then it is indeed normal for that. They like to have a bit more information on their player moderators.

"I want a girlfriend/boyfriend", and other such relationship advice
IMO talking to a girl in any way shouldn't be a problem, unless you're attempting to go over the final hurdle in actually asking her out. Even that can be easy with the right situation. If it is difficult, it just seems silly to pursue the relationship if you have to force yourself to talk to her in the first place. I mean seriously, just ignore all thoughts of anything you want to pursue her for besides a conversation, and it is just like talking to anyone else in the world. If you mess up, it's highly unlikely she'll laugh in your face.

Yes, the wave does matter. While you could do wave 1 multiple times, it would take many more waves to fill than going through them all.

9 Year old Boy busted for bringing 2-inch toy gun to school
Haha. My primary school had a rule where no-one was allowed to bring toy guns in, but they meant like cap-guns and air-rifles and such, not tiny guns for an action figure or something. The world nowadays... I meant saying that his favorite subject was math. No relation guns. Or even legos for that matter. Yeah, thats what i was laughing at. Human interest story, ya know. Gotta make the people seem real and connected. Guns in schools? Yeah, there was this kid in high school who reported seeing someone with a gun and basically sent my entire school into lockdown and brought every, and I mean EVERY law enforcement agency in the county to the school. The game, fish, and parks office was there for crying out loud! Anyway, we were escorted from our classrooms after like 3 hours one class at a time by a swat team in full gear and led to a "secure building" across the street. Couple hours later, it was announced that the kid had been lying the whole time and there was no gun. <_< Anyway, after that everyone was released to go home for the day. This story? Really? I could snap that thing in half without even trying. I understand a zero tolerance policy, but to even consider suspension in this circumstance is slightly ridiculous.

"I want a girlfriend/boyfriend", and other such relationship advice
I didn't want a girlfriend until at least the end of my junior year of high school. Since then I have put effort into it, and it really did fall into place with my first girlfriend. And as for being 20 and still having my philosophies RPG, what can I say, I'm fairly old-fashioned, and I like women who like that about me. Though I did get a kick out of it when you made that comment a while back of me reminding you of a younger you when I'm actually older than you. And Nick, I appreciate the gentleman comment, it makes me smile inside and out and lets me know that I'm appreciated in some way. It's very satisfying. Thanks.

"I want a girlfriend/boyfriend", and other such relationship advice
Ah the first kiss... Those were the days.... Oh wait a minute... I've never kissed a girl. Oops. Yes, I'm 20 and never kissed a girl period. At least with lip to lip kissing. And you know what? I don't really care. I think I was close to with my girlfriend before we stopped dating. I at least felt the tension there that I probably should have, and I let my eyes wander to her lips a little too often, but I never actually did it because we were getting emotionally close too fast anyway, escalating the physical closeness might have ended the relationship sooner than it did.

Religous Extremism
The fact that you're trying to pass off Christianity as passive is a joke. The religion is extreme, it's followers are just passive. I'm not calling most of the followers extremist, but I am saying that the religion is extreme. It's like how people say that Islam is extreme, when not all Muslims take it that far. You're right. It is like how people say that Islam is extreme, when not all Muslims take it that far. In fact, very, very, VERY few Muslims take it that far. That's why Islam is NOT an extreme religion, and neither is Christianity. No wide sweeping encompassing terms such as Christianity or Islam can be called extreme. It is only ever certain sects of these very broad categories that could ever be called extreme. You seem to be defining a religion based entirely on its written texts, which should never be the case. No religion is based entirely off of a written authority. A religion is the practices and beliefs of a group of people and how they put those beliefs into practice.

Religous Extremism
The concept of "hell" in the Bible (insofar as the New Testament is concerned) is referred to (if the word is even used in a particular translation, as use of the word hell is decreasing in newer translations) as a place separate from God, a place where there will be "much weeping and gnashing of teeth." It's common conception of a fiery place of doom comes from the existence of "Gehenna," which was, if I remember correctly, a physical place on earth where garbage was thrown into and burned. Common theology has most definitely expanded on the Biblical conception of hell. Sometimes I wonder how we came to our current conception of it.
