**New Quest - Rune Mechanics**
The ones who couldn't turn their area sounds off? <_< What did they think they'd solve by adding this? Is this even a mage staff anymore? http://forum.tip.it/public/style_emoticons/dark_skin/rolleyes.gif Well, it's better than Dragon Spear but gives magic offense too. Maybe people can use magic to lower Corps defense now? lol... I don't know what they solved, but it has fancy bonuses in random places. And I can hit 20+ with it without the special now. The whole set rivals full rune with d scim with barrows gloves and climbing boots. Pretty good for free stuff. (Free in that it's a reward for playing a minigame I used to play just for fun.)

Religous Extremism
What I should have said is laws are not laws if they are not enforced. Besides that, most Christians I know would openly admit they're hypocrites when it comes to following the Bible, and if they don't, they're lying. It's called being a sinner. At least at a theological level (I'm not sure the average Christian gives it enough thought), a Christian acknowledges the fact that they don't, and in fact can't, live up to God's expectations. And so came Jesus. He fulfilled the law by carrying it out perfectly, yet was still sacrificed for all the imperfections of the rest of humanity. Yes, Christians are hypocrites. Anyone who tells you differently is lying. It is a pursuit of being better that makes a Christian, not being perfect that does.

Religous Extremism
Now you've just gone off your rocker. I don't even know what to say to that. Laws aren't laws if they aren't followed, simple as that, in any society.

Religous Extremism
Religion is nothing without the people. What is lived is the religion, for better or worse. Calling a religion extreme because of laws that exist but are not followed is just silly. You may call ancient Christianity or Judaism extreme, but calling modern Christianity or Judaism extreme shows only that you are trying to tear them down in any way possible. Jesus speaking about the Old Testament laws is said in response to a number of things, and is the subject of extensive theological discussion. For one example, see Jesus's own words that you quoted. "I have come not to abolish, but to fulfill." Common theology holds that this means Christ is the fulfillment of the law and the prophecies. They shall not pass away until the end of time because Jesus's sacrifice is the fulfillment of the law and prophecies, and the sacrifice will remain until the end. Without law and prophecy, Jesus's sacrifice is null and void. Therefore both are maintained until the end of days, and the final prophecies of Jesus's return will be fulfilled. Just saying, not preaching here. Sure I'm Christian, but I'm trying to keep personal beliefs out of this as much as possible. EDIT: And crap, just when I thought the God topic was gone forever... :wall:

"I want a girlfriend/boyfriend", and other such relationship advice
What's kissing anyway? Connecting lips with someone. Woo hoo. Big deal. Defining a relationship on it? Now that's just silly. Yes, I hug those who are just my friends a lot, as did she. Our relationship was, as tripsis said, more than physical. Emotional intimacy is something I value much more than smacking my lips against someone else's. I'm close to my friends, (Most of whom are female), but this was different, as I should know, being that I just said most of them are female.

Sexting: Your Views?
You're right, I've only heard it called sexting on the news and once on a TV show. Don't think I've ever heard it used in real life. I'm pretty sure I've heard it in real life. Seems like a strange practice to me. Sure, share photos with your significant other, but the odds of it staying within those bounds is highly unlikely in high school. Sharing them is just plain stupid. Real mature. If you want to look at pics of nude people, stick to the internet. Better quality than 3.2 megapixels ftw.

"I want a girlfriend/boyfriend", and other such relationship advice
I dated someone for two months. We never kissed. We were more of a hugging couple. Remember, just because you enjoy kissing someone you met two hours ago doesn't mean the rest of us do. Not right, not wrong, just different.

Religous Extremism
First point: I have read the ENTIRE Bible. Most of it more than once. Second point: The verse you quoted regarding literalism speaks very specifically about prophecy. Not everything in the Bible is prophecy. There are verses in the Bible which support both the views of literalism and symbolism, and arguments can be made for both sides. Third point: Slavery is condoned by the Bible. There is no arguing against that point. But that doesn't mean the Bible is horrible. The modern conception of slavery is nothing like the one described in the Bible. In the Bible, slaves were expected to be treated with certain rights that were not to be violated. They were taken care of, and in many cases a master is depicted (especially in Jesus's parables) as trusting his slaves with something very valuable to the master. Sure a slave couldn't just leave whenever he felt like it, but he was most often treated with care. Personally, in those times, I wouldn't have minded all that much being a slave as that meant I would be well taken care of, which is more than can be said of those people in modern times who spend nights on the streets homeless. Also, modern slavery (at least the conception that most Americans have of it)was targeted at a particular race. Native Africans were forced to leave their lives, travel great distances, and serve someone who would likely treat them poorly because they thought of their slaves as beneath them. In Biblical times, people often became slaves because of debts and were later supposed to be freed, according to the Bible, as has already been pointed out. In any case, it DOES matter if people aren't following the Bible literally. Yes, it is the foundation, but people can choose to build whatever they want on top of that foundation. For example, you can be an engineer and build this fantastic house with all these rooms, with one room in particular that you think is perfect for a library, so you call that room a library. Now you sell the house to a family, and they move in, you tell them what room's what, and how they should use their brand new house, but they suddenly decide that your "library" would be perfect for the master bedroom. That is not at all how you designed your house to be used, but that is how the family that is now using it uses it. It is no longer YOUR house; it is theirs, and there is nothing you can do about it. Hopefully that analogy is clear enough for you.

Religous Extremism
"Religious Freedom" to the founding fathers meant basically that the state was not going to tell you what you had to worship. Like in England, you were forced to follow the Church of England. They didn't want it to be like that, but that didn't mean religion influence in general was supposed to be eliminated. Also, to them, "religious freedom" pretty much meant "you can be any type of Christian you want, or perhaps maybe even atheist."

why did my maple long bow(u) and maple logs sell
Hmm if someone buys junk is it still to be considered junk.... or does it actually have a real value attached to it now. No, that's the point, it has no value, and you just spent money buying it. There are so many people dumping millions of junk items for lowest price, that you would never be able to sell for med. But a junk trade uses the GE-mid value to determine the trade limitations, so, you would make x gp per bow, where x=GE mid - GE low price. It would decrease effectiveness of junk trading, but yes, you could make a profit doing that, especially if you used the junk for lending. In regards to usefulness for high alching, I'll break it down. Each bow, according to current GE low price, can be bought for 95 gp. Each bow alchs for 192 coins. 192-95=97 A nature rune costs 239 at GE mid. 239-97=142. Using this method at current prices, you lose 142 gp per cast, a relatively low value compared to some other options for high alching, such as yew longs, which entail a cost of 168 gp per cast. I'm not up to date on the common items currently used to train magic through high alching, however, so I can't offer an opinion regarding whether the 142 is low or not. Also, the wiki article says maple longs(u) had stabalized at 70 for a while, meaning that the cost of the cast using current prices of nature runes would have been only 117.

Coldest Winter Ever?
How long have you lived in South Dakota? I've lived there my whole life, and temperatures below freezing are the norm. It's winter. Sure over the past few we've had some warm streaks in the middle of winter, but generally it remains below freezing into March, and sometimes April if we get a nice April blizzard. It's the norm in South Dakota tbh.

I thought so. Though they have apparently changed it to "Just About the Gaming EXperience;" It's in the header on their corporate website.

"I want a girlfriend/boyfriend", and other such relationship advice
So I'm gonna let out a bit here, just cause I feel the need to. Why tonight, and not any of the other nights I've felt low I don't know, but here goes. So some of you might remember that the last thing (at least I think) I posted was that I was going out with a girl basically because everything fell into place in just about the perfect way. That's a long story, you can look it up if you want, but the short of it is that Shakespeare couldn't have written it better. Anyway, we dated for a couple months, had some of the best experiences of both our lives, and then she ends it. Not because she doesn't like me, or because we fought over something, but basically I got the "I don't want to be in a relationship/head in that direction in my life right now" way of looking at it. I'll admit, it hurt. But I didn't want her to see that too much, as she was crying the whole time she told me anyway. Anyway, that was almost 7 months ago now, I think. We see each other alot, have a few classes together, hang out in a couple of the same social circles. Anyway, I still have feelings for her. And I enjoy every moment I'm around her, we still connect in a different way than any other person I know. I don't even know why I'm saying this, just to say it, I guess. Thing is, everything goes quite well for quite some time, and I really enjoy being around her, but then sometimes it hurts. She's currently a year above me in college, and it hurts to hear her talk about her future plans, which I know and appreciate that she has every right to do, but it still hurts to see the direction she's going when I know that that means I'll get to see her even less than I do now, which isn't a ton. So I know that's all very selfish of me, yadda yadda yadda, it's not like I'm planning to interfere with it or tell her anything, and much of the advice I'll get is of the gftog sort, which does not work for me, so don't even bother with that, if you do care to post advice, not that there's anything to post advice about, I just need to talk. Questions or comments are appreciated, however, as that helps me talk it over with myself.

The way of being human
And Psychology trumps all. Buh Yah. I love the hierarchy of needs. Especially because so few people actually reach self-actualization. P.S.- Reading the wikipedia article about it(To double check he was referring to what I thought he was), that article seems a little biased, so if you look it up, don't take everything it says at face value. Though it's wikipedia, so you shouldn't anyway.

Fletching & Home portals
I did yew longs for 70-80 fletching. It's not the fastest method, but it's by no means slow. Buy yew logs, make yew long (u) and buy bow strings and string to make yew longs. You even make a (very) small profit. Doing it in batches of 500 logs and bowstrings bought at once, I made about 15k each time I sold my yew longs after subtracting the price for the materials to make them. If I remember correctly, I could do 1000+ longs an hour, and I wasn't concentrating very hard.

Possible to poison Zamorakian Spear?
Side note, hastas (basically one handed spears made using barbarian training) can be poisoned as well.

Reveal Confessions, Secrets & Regrets...
Like what? Candy, food, other junk. Took an Xbox 360 headset the other day, it was just sitting there begging to be stolen. It's like I see things and just feel the urge to take them, even when I know I don't even want them. I stole a damn chocolate bar, I'm allergic to milk -.- klep·to·ma·ni·a (klpt-mn-, -mny) n. An obsessive impulse to steal regardless of economic need. You should try to control yourself before you get caught... That's the problem. I'm good at it. Regardless of how good you are, you will eventually get caught. In fact they might actually know you're stealing stuff already and are just watching you to be able to prove it. I'm quite sure I'd make a good thief, as I definitely have the eye for it, but I also know the odds of me slipping up at some point are very high. Plus I don't actually need any of the stuff. But it's good to feel safety in the fact that if I were ever homeless I could steal food if I needed to. At that point if I got caught, I could always look on the brightside of things and say that I at least have food and shelter now.

Fastest way to Oo'glog?
Were there changes made to the pouches recently? I haven't been runecrafting in a few months. The only thing I can think of off hand is that you can now use NPC contact to contact the mage in the abyss to repair pouches...

Mage Void Armor bonuses
You do NOT need the mace for the bonus. Think how unfair that would be to range, as the mace cannot use range.

Not lone in the sense of lonely, lone in the sense of flying solo, nobody around, the only person present, doing something.

Strange power
Anyone notice how similar the message is to the one you get when you enter a runecrafting altar: This one: "You feel a strange power unleash itself upon you." Runecrafting: "You feel a powerful force take hold of you..."

Post and discuss all Jagex Twitter updates here!
I'm almost as sick of hearing guesses about necromancy as I am about sailing. I just don't see what it would add to the game. With summoning we can already raise spirits, raising the dead is really not that different. Of course, I thought summoning was never coming, so I'm not so hot at guessing new skills. Yeah, life runes were part of the original plans for summoning, making it a separate spellbook instead of a separate skill.

Strange power
I'm placing my bets on sea slug quest. After all, his anagram used the word "acolyte" which would theoretically come after proselyte. Plus all the people claiming different dialogs with witchaven people.
