It's just as big of a leap as life existing in the first place, I would say. If you have faith that you will win the lottery if there is a 1/1,000,000 chance of winning and you won, then why would you suddenly lose your faith if there were to be a second lottery? Your odds would be no different than the first time. But anyways, that was the best example I could provide. My point is we shouldn't assume everything must be plural since the universe is so big - especially things that only happened once as far as we know.

If alcohol is legal then marijuana should be too. We should base legalization on the dangerousness of the drug - alcohol, caffeine, nicotine, cannabis, and maybe even mushrooms and LSD should be legal but cocaine, heroin, ecstasy, meth, etc. should still remain illegal.

Why are aliens more likely than the occurrence that I've stated though? Both are only known to happen once as far as we know. We can only safely say that I typed that paragraph once and that life popped into existence only once because we only have evidence of them happening one time.

Of course we might be here for horrible reasons. It's possible that he has us here to get kicks out of watching us suffer. However, there is still a greater chance of us being here for a reason we're all comfortable with than if god didn't exist at all - which would mean no chance.

You can delude yourself into thinking it will kill you if you put it into your lips. Just think of it as an equivalent to something very dangerous and lethal, and your fear of the dangerous thing will transfer over to the cigarette. Mind over matter.

It's understandable that there are planets out there with similar conditions to earth, making them habitable. What I don't get is why we're so quick to assume that just because the occurrence of life being born here and the universe is so big, then that means it probably happened elsewhere too. It sounds like the argument, "If we are given an infinite amount of time then everything will happen." We're playing with odds a little too loosely here. Is it also reasonable to assume that someone out there is typing this same exact paragraph on a website on their planet called Tipit?

That's because high school is a competition of who is the coolest. Remember that these people aren't going to be as rational as you'd like them to be. They're still growing and have a lot to learn. 50% of their thoughts deal with sex and the other 50% deals with showing off. Put them in a crowd of thousands of others just like that and could you imagine anything worse? In other words: Keep going, you're doing a great job. I remember there was a famous quote that said something like, "Independence is painful while young, but delicious in your later years."

If you do something you enjoy for one it won't seem like "forever" or grinding and secondly, you will feel much more "accomplished" (if you can call it that) that you finished a goal that you actually enjoyed instead of just went for to get an item. 99 slayer does take time, but you have to start somewhere, and 70 is a decent level to start at. I say go for slayer, get your combats to 99 along the way. Enjoy the money you gain and the combat levels as well. Then when you finally reach 99 slayer enjoy one of the most respected items in the game. I agree. It seems with a 99 Slayer goal, you get more bang for your buck. You'll earn tons of money, increase your total by a lot, it adds variety to your gaming, and you will get other 99's along the way to serve as encouragement.

It's when somebody stays at an altar and people trade him/her ess for runes. The idea behind it is that one person gets Xp but loses out on money, and the runners lose out on Xp but get the money. Now it's more commonly replaced with RC assisting. Players "borrow" your RC level and make runes for themselves, but you get all of their Xp.

Not true. Sure, I have a hard time going up to a girl and just saying hi, but I'm straight up about everything else. Maybe the opportunity just hasn't come for you yet. I haven't had a real relationship until now and I used to feel the same way you do. Just stay vigilant, but at the same time don't try and make a relationship out of every girl you meet. And most importantly, be optimistic.

I hit him hard enough to knock a huge booger out of his nose (dead serious), but he knocked me onto the ground - being literally more than twice my weight lol. He was trying to hit me on my back and my girlfriend was trying to hit him on his back. I don't know what you would consider a "win" though. Very few high school fights actually have a winner. Of course all his friends said he beat my [wagon], cause he kept pushing me down but just in between you and me he never even got one good hit on me, and I did. ;)

I can acknowledge that marijuana has its detrimental effects, as does nearly everything else in the world. I think it's up to the individual to weigh the pros and cons. There might be a small chance of getting a mental illness from smoking, but there's also a small chance of getting into a car accident while driving. In my eyes, I think it's more favorable to smoke and drive (not at the same time of course) than to give these two things up. If the risk were much greater, like along the same lines as the risk of crocodile hunting, then that would be reason enough for me not to do it.
