I doubt little kids are disturbed when they see a cross-dresser. At best, they are just inquisitive as to "Why that man is wearing mommy's clothes." And being gay doesn't mean you enjoy dressing up in women's clothes - I definently don't. And it's unfair to even say that all people who cross-dress are gay. They are two seperate things, really. True, it's usually the adults who give the weird reactions to stuff like that. While very few homosexuals dress like that, I still think it's quite strange. Women attire was made to fit a woman's anatomy - not a man's.

Exactly. I just try to make ends meet. If one thousand lies are less harmful than one truth then sorry but I'm gonna lie. Of course the truth should always be the default choice if the lie isn't going to have a severe negative effect just because when morality is questioned, it is better to be honest than dishonest.

Well since I'm so used to the technology we have available today, I'm not in the position to say it isn't beneficial. I mean, it's hard enough going a few hours without electricity let alone every other modern day leisure. But then again, when I compare my life to a tribal one it seems like they have less stress to deal with. They don't have to worry about waking up every morning when the gadget on your dresser says a specific number, driving a huge vehicle through dangerous traffic and having to follow the road laws, working at your job/school and staying within the lines of social etiquette, withdrawing your earnings from a bank and remembering all those numbers and cards, shopping at maze-like stores to find food for your family... all just to get by. Now, I will say that we are lucky to have medicine, education, and the likes but when you think about just happiness alone those tribal people probably have it better than we do.

Not a very good idea. It's counterproductive because people will probably look down on you and think of you as non-friend material since you are making a desperate impression. Just post around here and you'll realize you share the same interests and ideals with others and then eventually you can add them, message them, etc. etc.

Psychology has always sounded interesting and I actually learned quite a bit about myself last year when I was taking that course. My favorite part about it is it can be really handy throughout your whole life since you'll always be dealing with other people and yourself.

Maybe you should look back at my posts to Tripsis because I clearly agreed that it is more selfless than it is selfish. You probably don't even know what my main point was - our actions reflect our desires and wants so of course we have ourselves in mind when making decisions. And no matter how you slice the cake, a want is a want. Perhaps you're misinterpreting. By saving your brother and him wanting to save you, you are making the decision to be the more selfless one which is a pretty selfish decision. Excuse me for adding "pretty" in there but I think my point still stands. No matter what you do, you're making a decision that is in your interest too. That means there is no such thing as pure selflessness because people don't do things that result in (what they would consider) a worse outcome. We don't aim to fail - we aim to succeed. If we didn't want to do something then we wouldn't. Now you can use an example of kids don't want to do their chores, adults don't want to work. But in actuality when you take everything into account, they do want to do those things because of the outcome they get from it. The kids don't get punished or scolded by their parents and the adults get paid and they can support their families. They chose to do the work because the outcome was more desirable to them. They're keeping themselves in mind when making decisions.

I'm not arguing that an elderly man can't love a young girl. I know that anyone can fall in love for the same reasons I know it is not a choice. We do not choose to have the physical feeling our bodies get when we are aroused - and even on an emotional level. But what I am saying is that pedophilia relationships shouldn't exist (the elderly man and young lady both should be responsible for not consenting) because of the previous reasons stated. In other words: Even though I'm fully aware that they can, an elderly man shouldn't have a relationship with a teenager. Nothing says that homosexuals shouldn't have relationships with other homosexuals though.

Yes. I'm not adding a negative connotation to the word at all. I'm just saying our actions are based on our desires and that in turn constitutes as "wanting to do something because it benefits you someway somehow". Like I said, it's just weird like the word "nothing". It can be true that it's not selfish to want someone other than yourself to live and have a good life, but it can also be true that it's not selfless to want someone to live a good life. It's a still a want. I will agree that it's less selfish to want your brother alive but I still think wanting him alive is some form of selfishness in one way or another or else you wouldn't be making that choice in the first place.
