  1. All line-crossings are subjective, so I don't see what you're trying to say here. Murdering someone is only "wrong" in the sense that people believe they are crossing the line, even though the line only exists in their heads. Also, there is no set amount of what would be right. It's merely another way of saying I've seen too much of it. I would be fine with a few threads complaining about the loss of the wildy. That's not how it is at all though. Some posters feel the need to have entire Anti-Jagex campaigns, and try to slander the company in every single way possible. It's fine to be upset about the loss of your favorite activity, but to vigorously take it out on the company when they didn't even have a choice, then that's definitely crossing the line in my book. Skilling has pretty much died for me. Skills were the main reason I played Runescape. I'm not gonna act delusional and pretend like I'm the only demographic that exists in RS's community. No. I think it was a stupid move that they shouldn't have done, and it probably even deserves a rant about it. But the difference between me and the posters I'm talking about is that I don't make it seem like it's the end of RS. One aspect getting ruined isn't the same as the entire game shutting down. It is the end of my enjoyment. That doesn't mean "RS is dead! Jagex are monsters! Jagex hates their players!" What I'm trying to say is that there are ways to cope with it that doesn't make you look like a crybaby. I don't just disagree with people when they disagree with Jagex. It's the extent which they take things that gets to me. It's not so much me defending Jagex as it is me pointing out how ridiculous the complainers are being. Sometimes Jagex can do stupid things. No argument there. But to expect them to be omnipotent beings who can never make mistakes, and when something doesn't go your way, to flood the Rants forum with propaganda about how they don't care about us, then you're just being self-centered. People expect a gaming company to cater to their every need... even when it just isn't feasible, like trying to undo the RWT updates. And when Jagex does not do the impossible, they get slandered for it. That is what I meant by unwarranted. So I ask you, why do you think Jagex deserves to be slandered just because they don't want their game to get overrun and ruined by RWTers? Such as getting PKing back, but at the cost of opening doors for RWTers to reign again.

Of course. It is better to have the training than to not have it, but the way you put it you made it sound like you absolutely must have training or else your material will not be good. I'm just saying that there are definitely some exceptions out there. Not every good piece of music exists because of music theory. Giuseppe Verdi admitted that he was the least learned when it comes to technical composition, but that never prevented him from becoming a highly regarded musician amongst many opera fans. Some people understand things naturally without needing to scientifically break it down and analyze it in order to get it. And also, I think there are some musical pieces that sound good even though they defy the normal laws of music theory.
  3. I'm argumentative both offline and online. I tend to be more vulgar in person, and I have an easier time getting my points across in person than on the internet.

I don't agree with that. It might help, but it's not a requirement. Sometimes songs can be made up almost randomly and still be very good. And I'm sure there's also been some great musicians who just picked up their instruments and made music without learning a thing about theory. But I guess it just boils down to opinion - your definition of good music might be different than mine.

Sorry for asking this, but why isn't this considered a game?
  6. That is a good cover because it actually sounds like a song Tool would make. I like the ending in Tool's version too, but overall I still think the original sounded better. Especially the vocals... Why the hell does Maynard like sounding like a robot? No one can say no to that.

Customer Service has never been very consistent, much like the law in real life. The way I dealt with this was to irritate my enemies without using curse words. It's more fun that way too since it requires some creativity.
  8. Heh, speaking about relationships is quite a challenge since we've all had different experiences. Makes me wonder how a thread like this can be so popular.
  9. TIF humor is the worst. "lol i shoot u with a bazooka then throw molotov and eat ur cooked corpse with a spork." Why do the majority of TIFers find sentences like that funny?
  10. Pink Floyd - Lost for Words I'm in an easygoing mood today for some reason.
  11. REM - Losing My Religion
  12. I usually make up for it in a different thread.
  13. There's a world of difference between hurting an innocent person and hurting a guilty person. That's not to say I think this case deserves it, but in the right context violence can actually be beneficial.
  14. Yeah, it would probably be that. She's my best friend so I would be an even bigger loner than I already am. I've pretty much lost contact with all my guy friends since they all moved. Besides my family, she's all I got.
  15. I feel the same way as you Hob. Lots of people see it as a status symbol, but I don't see it that way at all. It's just two members of a specie making each other feel good - not an indicator of how successful you are in life, like most high schoolers seem to think. God, everyone there was obsessed about everyone else's sex life. How can you care so much? I think that love > lust, because sex comes naturally in a good relationship anyway.
  16. If I could go on a real life quest I definitely would. But unfortunately my adventuring is limited to the occasional suburban stroll with a friend, which can last a few hours. Sometimes that's exactly what I need though. To get out of the house and go somewhere - anywhere - nowhere. It makes little difference to me.
  17. If they don't care about player opinion, why do they have polls?
  18. What's the difference between dealing with your stress by using a soft drug like marijuana and relieving stress through video games, sports, exercising, etc.? It's called escapism. Of course it doesn't directly get rid of your stress, but it keeps your mind off those problems for a while which is the entire purpose. And before health risks are compared, I'd like to point out that those activities have a much higher death toll than marijuana. Especially sports.
  19. A vampire can't kill you either since they don't exist. This thread is purely hypothetical and wasn't intended to be consistent with reality. I mean come on. Who gets to say what fiction is allowed and what isn't?

My brother and I love making our own music. We usually start with a single riff then just add to it until we're satisfied. My brother usually adds a solo which complements the song very nicely, then we try experimenting with different effects in order to change the mood of the song. We've tried lyrics but neither of us are that good. We know what we want to say, but we don't know how to say it. We're hoping to find a drummer and vocalist so then we can take things to the next level. All in all, I'm very happy with what we can do. PS: There is a computer program called Guitar Pro which can help tremendously. We use it as a library for all our songs so we don't forget how they go and stuff like that. I recommend it to anyone interested in making their own music.
  21. You guys act as if vampires are more realistic than walking toasters.
  22. Either 10 or 9. It's too hard for me to decide.
  23. A sub with hot chips in it. I love putting chips in sandwiches.
  24. Teenagers love attention. The best way to get attention from other teenagers is by being naughty. Like everyone already said, it's a school thing. There will still be idiots in your life but not nearly as many as there are while you're in school.
