Darn, that's what I was going to saw.

Release candidates aren't designed to be used domestically - they have been released for testing and not normal use. I know, but I'll still wait until march to shell out money for windows 7.

I say we kill some people, then bring them back to life. Any volunteers? I, like most everyone else here, believe that you stop existing when you die.

I was just going to use the rc, and buy a copy of windows a little bit later.

It didn't work for me on chrome. Then I switched to ff (or ie, I forget), and it worked.

That monitor looks like a pretty good deal also. I was thinking I'll wait off on the e7400 and most likely get the 710. Thanks for all your help.

Is there anything different about that cooler? I knew I was going to build a computer this summer, and saw lots of the parts on sale today, so it was more of a spur-of-the-moment type of thing. As none of what you suggested is on sale right now, I might just wait until the core i5 comes out, or another sale, to see if any of these go on sale. Is this PSU any better? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817371006 EDIT: Another question: How much better is the 720/ is it worth it for the price increase? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6819103649

Can you check and make sure this build works? Most of these are on sale today, but I was wondering if you thought I might get a better deal around July 4. I'm trying to keep the price under $800. Currently, most ram is 240 pin. 184 is older, and there is less of it, so it will be more expensive. -

Restricted to UK mainland only. How will I know when these demons are summoned? :ohnoes:

Hadn't they had already sued for peace? Many state that the war would have ended with or without the atomic bomb: http://www.doug-long.com/ga1.htm On the flip side, lets say that even if it was "used to break the back of Japanese resistance and prevent the need for a mainland invasion," what's the point of Nagasaki? Aren't we just trying to find excuses to justify the lives that were sacrificed as a part of the politics between the U.S. and the Soviet Union?

UK has nukes and we have no problem with that. But do YOU want countries like Iran and NK to have them? Personally I don't care if they do. And if I did, I would be equally concerned about USA having them What? The United States KNOWS not to use them, but NK and Iran have horrible leaders who want more power and might actually want to use them. You want them to have them? Then enjoy living in fear pretty soon! Remind me, what is the only nation to have ever used nuclear weapons outside of testing? [/hide] The same nation that realized it could save lives in the long run; unfortunately, they killed more people then intended. Militarily, the atomic bomb played no part in the defeat of Japan... Furthermore, what was the point of Nagasaki?

I don't get this logic, or perhaps my logic is flawed. Everyone's vote counts; your vote counts. I don't get the if the vote's are tied logic. Why does you vote count, or matter morem then? It still counts the same; your vote isn't the one that will "tip the scale," all of the ones that voted for whoever counted the same. Even here, your vote is worth the same as Joe Smo, whether he was the one who voted 250th and you when the votes were tied.

A fish can't grow legs. Populations, not species, evolve (be it through micro/macroevolution).

Couldn't these also encourage smoking instead of helping one quit as they are much cheaper than normal cigarettes...

When skiing I always wear a helmet. I've taken a few crashes, and whenever I fall it's a huge crash. One of my biggest was in a ski race. The course was full of ruts, and I was about to miss gate, so i tried to get back to the correct side of the gate, crashed and slide down about 1/4 of the course before stopping. Boy was I glad I was wearing my helmet...

I agree that they are (almost) always funnier without a caption. Take away the captions and we have our new funny pictures thread.

I was looking at it yesterday. That search engine is freaking amazing. It's the first that I have considered using sometimes instead of google (excluding specific databases that our school subscribes to).

It's not bigger than science fair at our school. This year for Science Fair my final paper was over 40 pages long. I also had to make a science fair board and a 15 minute powerpoint for states.

yes, you remembered correctly. chicken pox, AFAIK, can kill adults but has little to no chance of harming a child But chicken pox can also come back later in the life as it is a viral infection (herpes). I think Varicella is the primary infection that causes chickenpox, but it can come back as Herpes zoster, which causes shingles. Both are much worse in adults.
