  1. Wrong. Tears of Guthix gets a lot for free, and if you have a lot of time you can do it the really cheap way: Mine ore, make bars and smith nails. Collect planks from spawns. Use the nails and planks to get the level for clay fireplaces. Mine clay and wet it. Use the clay fireplaces to get the level for limestone fireplaces. Mine limestone. Use the limestone to make fireplaces till 99. (note that you can make attack stones later to save time, but since that requires a games room, that may count as buying) It will take a hell of a long time (Trust me, I got many of my levels with clay and limestone), but it can be done. Edit: Oops, forgot the cost of a house. Nvm, you can still ToG, lamp, book, etc your way to 99. It will just take longer.
  2. Are you spying on us? SHUN! Are the low-alch charges temporary? Do they recharge? 30 per day.
  3. Woot! New Times! Good read. I am in a similar position to the author: I'm not sure exactly when I started playing, but I haven't seen the friend who got me playing since 2003, so I must have started early 2003 or before. Yet until a year or 2 ago when I got members, I was still around lvl 45. People always assumed that I had just started, when I had in fact been playing for years. Thats why I would like to see an option to view when you signed up.
  4. Yes, definetly. Think about the updates they've brought out after the release of rs2. Rsc and old rs2 was where it was at. Anyway: Pest Control - lame lame lame Quests No Wilderness Gravestone deaths There were tons of others I had, but I can't think of them now and I'm sleepy  Yes, because if there is one thing that proves Rs is becoming more childish, its RFD.
  5. While I don't worship one of the runescape gods IRL, I do have a personal philosophy that might concievably be called guthixian- Ie, one of seeking balance in my life (between time spent in physical activity and mental activity, between energy intake and output, etc).
  6. I like getting food. I still hate her.
  7. Are you sure no answer is correct? Although I guess under 13s are allowed to play now...
  8. Well then my apologies, but it didn't look like you were referring to the idea of raised of settings rs time by your computer time. But never mind that. He quoted the post he was reffering to, how much more obvious do you want him to make it? It won't be dark, it will be Bluish-dark.... That is still a problem with certain screens. I know one I used to have had quite bad quality, and always had to be set at an angle (rather precariously) so that anything on it in a semi-dark scene could be seen properly. This has been said as much as what your saying has been said alot.... THE TIMEZONE MUST SOMEHOW BE RELATED TO SERVERS/AND HOURS OF RUNESCAPE MUST BE ALOT LESS THAN REAL LIFE. No need to make it a lot less, just make it related to servers and if you want a different setting, you can world hop. If you don't like it, you can turn it off.
  9. So long as it was optional (so as not to cause problems on bad monitors, etc), then it would be an ok idea. I would say the varying times for servers based on local times is probably a good idea, thoguh some countries do have multiple tiome zones, so that could be a problem. Wouldn't like the idea of "survival elements" though, one of the great things about runescape is that it's not particularly complicated, and that you don't have to go prepare a load of stuff just o go for a walk outside the city.
  10. +1 When a quest comes out, I'd wear farming or runecrafting.
  11. There is a sticky on this above.
  12. I agree it needs an update, but not by fiddling with ashes. They give such good herblore exp with tarromin, plus they are a way to recoup *some* of the cost of training.
  13. Putting the links at the top of the main page along the top of the game window as well would be good.
  14. YES! OH GODS, YES! We really need to be able to do that.
  15. I dispute that the staff on the banner is the staff of Armadyl, it looks nothing like the updated pic of the staff in the museum.
  16. Yes but it will allow RWT. Did you think they made the trade limit to make sure no stupid players get scammed? Ah, but with trades being heavily monitored over the period to determine prices, no doubt they can manage to ban any RWTing.
  17. Support. Nice idea, especially if you could combine other cape spot items as well (spotted and attractor, lol).
  18. Support. Don't think it would trim the quest cape though, as I'm pretty sure Jagex has said that will be done by achievement diaries when more come out. Still awesome imo. Also, that cape looks cool, but if it turns out looking like the one on the right... *Shudder*
  19. Maybe an expansion to summoning pets, so we can actually use them for something? I agree with the direction thing. Also, if that mage is going off to fight a dragon with just a staff, he's gonna get fried. Standing on a wooden boat, without an anti-dragon shield? Even if the staff can protect him from flames, it's a fair swim to shore from a burning boat, and who knows how far away the mainland is... I would guess he hasn't gone to kill it. Also, if it is the music cape, how could he get it before the quest, given that you would need all the tracks, and at least one would unlock in the quest. *Prepares to unleash the power of a volcano upon the world to raise my own island from the depths (mini-Ulthuan ftw)* I agree. It could probably be done, but would be very hard to do properly, and I would expect a longer gap between two skills as big as summoning and sailing. Also, it might well merely be a large... activity, I guess?... that consists of using a load of other skills to do stuff in it. Dunno about the cape, guess we'll see. Definately agree on the Staff of Armadyl thing. Looks nothing like the updated version you see in the museum.
  20. My guess would be shiny.
  21. Apparently it's so that you can replace your hair after all the bugs that turn you bald.
  22. QFT. Jagex is aware of player feedback regarding incomplete storylines, and as you can see, they're adding to them. Rocking Out. Kennith's Concerns. Legacy of Seergaze. Dealing with Scabaras. Land of the Goblins. So it's not very tough to see more storylines being added onto in the near future. Not sure there's much to rant about...I mean, how fast do you want these quests released? They only do one update a week, and they can't all be additions to old storylines. You'd think in one of the 150 updates since mep2 there'd be an mep3 tho. Mention Catapult construction and I will kill you. :D And then I will take your corpse, burn it, bake the ashes into a cake, and feed it to Jad. Catapult construction was just... *shudders*
  23. Hahaha! Have you done any of those quests? The plague is being used by king Lathas to make the citizens of West Ardougne hate king Tyras, so that Tyras cannot get reinforcements for his army which, together with the elves of Lletya, is opposed to Lathas and the evil elves. The mourners who are "caring for the sick" in West Ardougne are actually disguised elves from Prifddinas, ie the bad ones. I thought it was so the elves could get workers to dig for the death temple, which for some reason the elves wanted so badly. We could see that the death alter has the power to unlock the seals placed on Prifddinas, allowing us access into the city. (or raid the city.) Both, actually. They get free slaves, and prevent their enemy getting more troops. Brilliant strategy, really... Too bad about the adventurers, lol.
  24. Theres is a supposed "Plague" in Ardougne. It turns out it is fake. It is used to quarinte west Ardy, so Iban can hide the underground pass. Although the Elve quests need underground pass completion, tyhey do not follow the storyline.
