Laptop Recommendations?
Lol, I stand corrected. It's actually the first time I get corrected on my grammar on the internet. Having a Crucial M4 SSD myself, I can tell you it really does make a huge difference.

What the programs do
Sometimes I think even AVG can't help and sometimes it disturbs me a lot.Maybe anti-spyware will be better. AVG is a bad antivirus, I wouldn't use it, Use MSE or Avast instead.

Laptop Recommendations?
Don't be fooled by the look of the Asus, I've had trouble with my Older model of asus ROG and it's what you're taking (newer and bigger model of course). Also, they are already obsolete when you buy them, but if you mean how long they will be able to play recent games, at least a few years. My G53SW might be less than a year old, and even with the troubles I've had I expect it to last me at least 5 years before I buy another one, and it has similar specs to the Acer one.

Shooting Massacre at Dark Knight Rises Premiere
Rules like this are asinine. If you confront someone who has a gun for malicious purposes, he's just going to shoot you and continue with what he was doing. But by preventing people who own guns legally for protection from carrying them in, you're removing a deterrent or protective force from the premises. Exactly the same goes for those "no guns within x distance of a school" rules. Someone who wants to shoot up a school is not going to heed the rule, and anyone who might otherwise have a gun who could stop the shooter is going to obey that rule. You're right that it doesn't help with shootings like this at all. It's only useful for limiting the damage that someone might do if a conflict/argument escalates, not if he planned to do anything with the weapon beforehand. The best way is still not to give guns into private people's hands at all imo, the problem is just that in a country like the USA, where weapons are so prevalent, it's going to take a while until enough firearms are actually secured for this law to work properly. Of course. But those are pretty rare imo... And yeah, complete gun control is the only solution, but I can't see it ever being feasible in north america. Gun control wouldn't work because there's still illegal ways to get guns.

How do you guys have spare money? I can't donate because I need all the money I have. I usually donate in person when they are at stores and such.

My Power-User Windows ID is Damaged... Need Help!
Why don't you get your own computer, you'll have all the rights on it because you paid for it, so whatever is done by other guys isn't bothered by what you do. Also, game has different screen resolution, which is why it pushes the stuff on the other screen. Why don't you just restore it to before the issue started happening?

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3
Yeah, I limit my upload speed and it fixes these issues, backwards logic . If your router has QoS settings you can change your upload speed that way.

When I used to work, their email system was the same. I contacted them, and they contacted google and the according settings were changed, but are you trying with imap or pop3? you have to check your settings to make sure, and you have to check which ports they use for your school email.

Laptop Recommendations?
These 3 laptops are very good. Asus usually has the highest quality, except for their Republic of Gamers laptop line (which I have, I have a 5 year old Asus F7-Se wich never gave me any trouble, but my Asus Republic of Gamers G53SW-A1 (less than 1 year old), I had to RMA twice, as well as most of the people that have ROG laptops at college). Most of the stuff I have in my desktop, I bought Asus when I built it. Best quality around. These 3 laptops, though, they're pretty expensive, but then again they are gaming laptops with stronger processors and video cards. As far as I can say, if you go with one of those, it will last you a very long time.

Don't bother with Alienware. They're overpriced computers. I'm on a second computer science course in college, and there always are guys with Alienware laptops, and out of the 10 guys I've seen with them in the years of college, only 1 didn't have issues with his Alienware, mostly hardware problems. The computers you listed in the OP are pretty good, very good price for the specs, although Acer makes lower quality builds, so the computer will last a long time, but may have issues after a couple of years.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3
Well I guess we all have our opinions. They're bringing back the MW2 hit detection, which has been the best in all cods so far. This is very good, but they're going to change the matchmaking based on the country code, which is very bad for me since I live in a poor province where very few are people with connections like mine (I have optic fiber). Playing based on location is very bad also since the ISP's network has a hell of a lot of wear and tare since it's 60 years old, so the signal jumps from wire to wire too for people that are not on fiber.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3
Funny how people use the same camping spots they did in MW2, in Terminal. I wonder why they chose that one map, even Favela was a better map than that.

Anti-Keylogger Tricks
Then install Malwarebytes (which goes along with the Antivirus), and it should find it. I also suggest removing AVG and installing Microsoft Security Essentials or Avast.

When I worked retail, I was sort of amazed at how many hundreds I would get over the course of the day (and sometimes fifties, but normally more of the hundreds). Most of it was people who were probably paid in cash, since we dealt with a lot of contractors, and most of the time it worked since these people are buying hundreds of dollars of stuff at a time anyway. I did however get to make change using a fifty at least once (in addition to the times when I could have, except I didn't have any fifties on hand). You find small things to amuse you working cash, and making change with a fifty is one of them. We also had one person on staff who would bring in quarters, and then sometimes come out into the store and trade them for the special ones we would accumulate. Think she had a nice little collection going. Really hoping for some rain. This province is about ready to burst into flames anytime now, with a provincial ban on all open air fires regardless of how many permits you might have. Thay are saying they want 3 days of 20-30mm rain in a row before the ban is listed. We are currently at a mind blowing 3.5% of our average rainfall amounts for July. Normally it's our wet and miserable month, and this year it's just August in July. Temperature is pretty much the same here, and there's a ban of open fires too, although we had a 10mm of rain yesterday we still had virtually no rain compared to the usual.

Ive seen people post multiple times about insomnia here. How do you deal with it? It seems for the past 2 weeks I haven't been able to sleep before 5 AM, whatever the time I go to bed. I'm so tired that it's starting to affect my mood and motivation... Any ideas as to find what would be causing that, and any solutions to help me sleep? Thanks. I know I'm not at an insomnia stage, but I'm having a hard time right now...

Doesn't seem to have lost the colors to me, maybe you were on a tube tv then and on an hd tv now?

Steam Summer Sale.
It's a bad idea to buy Test Drive Unlimited 2. I wasted $10 on that game, and it crashes even before it starts loading. Stupid game.

Steam Summer Sale.
It didn't work on multicore processors? I've never seen a program like that, usually they'll just use 1 of the cores. I just bought Portal 2 and TDU2 (which I was told was pretty good). I already had Portal 2 on the Xbox, but paying $5 to have the ability to create maps and play maps created by other people, I think it's not too bad. Not planning on getting more games, the $15 I have already paid for games in that sale is enough.

Minecraft General
Screenshots would be fun to have, for the sake of nostalgia lol. I'm currently running 2 minecraft servers, one for my friends, with a map we started in the beginning of the beta days (You can clearly see where the old generator ends and the new one starts). The other one is a survival that I started recently, was thinking of posting it on the internet after putting some mods on it to prevent people stealing from other people's stuff and such.

Best Anti-Virus Software
AVG is currently one of the worst antiviruses out there, even worse than Norton (which has actually improved in the last years, but I still don't recommend it). If your dad works with professionnals, of course they're not going to recommend any AV software, they work with computers and know which websites and what kind of programs not to go near. Most people still recommend AV software for average users, because most of the time these are the users that will click any links and ads out there and get viruses. Offering computer repair services myself, I see a lot of people getting viruses on their computers despite the fact that they have AV software, and they don't read the messages that pops up by the Antiviruses either (which is probably the reason why newer versions block the websites without giving the choices). Microsoft Security Essentials (free), Avast (free) and Kaspersky are pretty good antiviruses.

Why PC Gaming Sucks
Just checked and I still have access to DreamSpark which gives free keys for things such as visual studio and Windows Server 2008 R2.
