I agree, it's some coincidence. Anyway, this morning, it's going to be the networking exam (cisco stuff), and then going to the garage. I hope he's not going to make me going to pay. Paid $450 already this week to get my car repaired so that it passed the yearly inspection (both ball joints, rotors and brakes), but the brand new brakes on the passenger side is making a hell of a lot of noise, which would be normal, but not after 150Km like right now. Yesterday when driving some friends around they made a comment about that too..

Why not just an external hard drive with a network interface that you can plug on your switch/router and use as network drive? It really depends on the issue at hand. They didn't need to do it on my laptop and they didn't, but Asus still made me sign a paper stating that they can format my laptop if there is a need. Note to keep at hand, always keep a backup of your files before sending a laptop for repairs.

I don't know if they can give a gun as paid dlc, it's really unfair. Everyone will want it, and should have it if it comes out, not just the people that pay for premium. Anyway, haven't played much of this game lately, lost my usual team to Diablo 3, and since I like MW3 and not interested in any RPGs these times, I play alone, and I keep ending up in teams where other players don't know how to play so it's not fun. I do have the occasional enemy team that invites me to play with them because I'm the only one going positive and I have a nice score, but still. Tired of playing with people that go 0-35 and 10-20.

Lovely. And I think I am being unfair. In the great scheme of things, most people would probably turn out to be decent drivers learning from their parents, obviously pending on the parents skill and teaching abilities. Between that, and just reading the book, you'll probably be alright until you get some experiance. What the classes are really for here are two things. First, if you take them it cuts half the time off the required waiting period between your begginers and learners. Here, you do the written test for a class 7 license, which has all kinds of restrictions, such as you have to have just one passenger, and they need a full class 5 license. 6 months after you get that you can be tested for your 5N licencense, 3 months if you do some form of accredited drivers ed program (and they normally also provide the car they've been teaching you in, so that you have experience with that particular car). 2 years after you get your 5N, you lose the N and get a full class 5 that has no curfew limits on it. And I might have the classes wrong, but you get the idea. Yeah it works pretty much the same way here, except for that 5N thing, I might inform myself here, but I think they recently added a curfew for people under 21 here.

You're lucky that you need to be by the book to pass, I think even if you don't drive by the book you should be when passing the license test. You don't need to go by the book, but it's still much better to have good habits. Here it's either by the book, or you pay a sum of money. Yep, the person that gives the license is corrupted. I've heard of people passing their license while drinking beer. I'm surprised they haven't investigated him yet.

The problem with learning from someone who isn't an actual driving teacher is that you are going to pass on all your bad habbits, and everyone has bad habbits. If I am given a drive by someone, and the parent who taught them (the father 99% of the time), I can tell whether their child had lessons or not based on how much they drive like their parent. Never has the observation that someone drives like their parent been a good thing. We all pick up bad habbits over time, which means if you teach your own children too much, your starting them off with at least a decade of bad habbits, probably more. Never has the observation that someone drives like their parent has been a good thing? My father, Class A Professional Driver and my mother, clean traffic record for 18 years, not good? And also...what are bad driving habits? When you teach someone, you teach them the lawful way. And besides, driving is so damn simple how can one have "bad habits"? You either drive respectfully or selfishly, mostly for moments at a time. Well you never know. There are things that some people may think is legal, but actually isn't. One good example where I live is people using the shoulder to turn, it's illegal here, but so many people do it. I've seen it almost cause some accidents too.

Costs a lot of money that I can't afford, why not get it for free? I agree with that, and I could've got it of free, but I saved a lot more than the $551 I paid for the course (in 2004 mind you, I don't know the current prices) on insurance because of the free 6 years experience it gave me on my license. The laws are probably different where you live but here that's how it works. Not sure if I'm mistaken on the amount of years either, 6 years seems like a lot, but then again I saved quite a lot on insurance.

Why do you guys not take driving courses? People that are actually qualified to teach how to drive and they won't lose patience like that.

Since it's been a really long time no one has posted in this thread, I thought I'd post an update. I do know that my desktop needs to be cleaned, since it has a lot of dust in it, but I won't have time until something like next weekend, and that's even if temperature's good outside. In the meantime, the computer's still running below 50 celsius even with a huge amount of dust in it. Anyway, after moving the stuff all around my appartment, here's new pics of my computers. [hide] [/hide] I could be buying an actual server during the summer though, I found one with dual xeon processor and a good amount of RAM for $300. I just need to come up with the money.

I think it's either what you do that doesn't need more, or you're getting throttled by your ISP. I only pay for 1.8MBps (15Mbps) and I've seen it go over 2MBps before. it's the former. I meant that as in I don't really use that much speed because I don't really download HD movies or whatever. I see. I don't download much either, but I do a lot of streaming on youtube and netflix so yeah. I also have a few servers on my desktop which can use a good bit of bandwidth, just using these servers and stuff, my computer uses over 4GB of RAM when idle LOL. Most of the usage I'm doing on my internet though has to do with my college course though. Still, soon going to be time to at least upgrade my processor, and I'm stuck to first gen i7 since I'm on the socket 1156 (currently an i3).

Thing is, I've been in OT for something like 4 years. One would think you'd get recognized by that time lol. Also, pretty funny MonkeyChee. Actually, come to think of it, I think it could be that I don't debate enough.

It annoys me, for one. ~Mr. Ginger "Who on earth could Cheat possibly be talking about" Warrior I haven't seen him in a long while though. What annoys me is that sometimes I seem to be ignored on these forums, with someone else giving the exact same response as me and getting an answer from the other person, as if I didn't post.
