  1. Is it me or there's a lot of double XP weekends lately? Like 3 in a row? At least I can finish getting the last prestiges faster. I'm starting to be sick of this game and I need to find another good one (please don't say Battlefield, I think it's a boring game). Anyway, with Quadruple XP (used tokens to put double xp over double xp), I pretty much got 50 levels today. Probably going to be 19th prestige tomorrow.

Same here, saw the new spiderman today, and I thought it was better than the first movie from the last series. Hopefully it'll stay that way. The one I want to see, and that I'm probably going to go see next weekend is Ted.
  3. I like reading cracked, but they're not that funny, I just read them for entertainment.

I remember doing these summer camps in Air Cadets, and from what you're saying it's pretty much the same, and these camps are always a hell of a lot of fun, especially when it comes to pranks.

It's a crossbreed of the T-1000 and Megatron also, as it so happens I'm still alive. I wonder how long I'd have to not post before people started realizing I was gone... :-k Well if you were gone just a couple of days, of course no one knew, since everyone takes a few days break. It's just when you're gone for a week or so that we start wondering.
  6. There are not usually downloads for flash drive drivers. It's extremely rare that it doesn't install by itself since it's basically the same driver for all flash drives, but I've never had any luck myself with Kingston USB sticks. Try another USB port on your computer after a restart, it sometimes triggers another installation of the driver.

Quarter of a tank of Gas, and I'm driving somewhere that's 45 minutes from here, and back today. Wish me luck.

Hope it doesn't cost you too much. Why the engine rebuild though? My car has 304 000+ Km and I never rebuilt the engine and it still runs extremely well. Is it that it's not the case for you?
  9. Looks like the problem might be with your actual wireless adapter then. Have you tried updating the wireless drivers?

We didn't lose power but we had pretty bad storms too, including golf ball sized hail and flooding (in a town that's less than 1 Km from the atlantic ocean LOL.
  11. I laughed so hard at this! No idea why since I know what the joke is about.

Same problem here. May have to just lie. Or if you have a conscious, you know, coincidentally omit that piece of information :P Yeah well, I tried that, but when they took a look at my resume they saw that I wasn't done with college yet. If they hadn't taken a look though I'd probably have a full time job for the summer. I might just advertise that I repair computers around here for a lesser price and A+ certified. Not as much money than a job, but still a few bucks :P.

Some chicken strips and fries. Only slept 2 hours last nigh so I didn't want to make anything too fancy. Not sure about the Rum and coke that I'm drinking right now, but it's going down quite well. Tomorrow at this time it's going to be some good hamburgers, not sure what side I'll make yet. I usually buy extra lean ground meat and make the patties myself, much healthier than the ones that you buy that are already frozen and already in their round shape.

I agree. I've been looking for a job for months and can't find a summer job. I almost got several interviews but as soon as they see that I'm a student, I lose all chances of getting the job. Probably going to go work in blueberries in july, but as you said, pay is too low since it's minimum salary.

Just got back home from my 1 week trip to montreal. Had a lot of fun over there.
  16. The xbox can background download, I haven't seen it happen in a long while though. There is this thing with it that lets you download while it's off though.
  17. There is absolutely nothing stopping you from plugging your PC into your HDTV. Just think of the next generation. I know that PC is better than current consoles, but just think about when they came out. Consoles were far superior than PC's that cost about the same thing when they came out. That's why so many people have them, and it's probably going to be the case again for the next generation of consoles. Also, for the cost, just build me a PC that's better than the consoles for $300. I don't see a way to even have all the pieces you need to have a working computer with that budget. For the price, the console still wins, here.

You can get a windows 8 beta online for free. If your computer can handle that (and you don't mind formatting your HD) you can always go with that. Does it have to replace your OS, or can you put it on a blank hard drive. If so, I smell my new VM operating system. If not, I think I can get it some XP. I used in on virtual box for a while, so you should be good. Are you sure about that? I put it on a completely blank virtual hard drive once and had no trouble with it. The thing is that if I turn on my computer is says "boot manager missing" and I can't do anything. At all. I would try it with Windows 8, but I have no way to obtain a copy since I have no computer. Then you probably only have to fix your mbr for it to boot (or is that for a similar problem? can't recall). Also, I wouldn't suggest going to Windows 8, if you don't have a touch screen, you won't like it. It is possible to use a "Upgrade Only" Windows 7 disc to do a clean install. Just let me know and I'll link a tutorial to you. As for Windows 8, you can do a clean install as well, Microsoft gives a free key (that will only work for the release preview period) with the Windows 8 ISOs.
  19. Can you post the code of the link that goes to the page that isn't working? That and the screenshot you posted should tell me if what I'm thinking is right or not.
  20. Overreacting much? With your answer, pretty much just means that you're a mac fanboy and a sheep. People want to pay more for it than the equivalent with another brand (such as the Asus tablets), they can go for it, but I hope they don't complain when they see better tablets for less. I wasn't bashing apple, but after doing some research and seeing some stuff, they're not better than other brands, especially not M$.
  21. That's why I don't have a home phone.

Taking a 1 week trip to Montreal, came by car yesterday and now am in Montreal for the week. Can't wait to see what I'll be doing with the friend I came here with, since I'll be with his other friends as well. Pretty different that my little place in NB LOL. Also got a fun surprise, college grades are out, and I have an average of 91% for this semester. Sweet. Only one course doesn't have the grade out yet, and it might bring down my average.
  23. Microsoft tried getting out with a tablet in 2002, so the ipad is yet another stolen idea that Apple came out with. Anyway my thoughts on the tablet hype, I personally don't see the need for a tablet anytime soon, although it is fun. I was thinking of getting the Asus Transformer tablet just for the sake of having one and seeing what the hype is about (and also mostly for road trips) but anyway.
  24. That's not a tl;dr, that's an assumption. And a very ill-informed one at that. Anyway, barring any "PC is superior" comments (which it is if you like modding, and shelling out cash to make an amazing rig), the game franchises you like define what console you should get. Like Halo and Gears of War? Go for a 360. Like Uncharted and Killzone? Go for a PS3. For me, personally, I preffer the ps3, I won't deny that. I've been in love with the Resistance series because Insomniac isn't afraid of making things hopeless to the point that the main character has to be killed. Also, the ps3 has a higher limit on the number of players it can support in one match for many games (MAG, R2), although I'm not sure if that's a hardware thing or a developer's choice. The only weakness I've seen lately with the PS3 architecture is that it is a lot more rigid in RAM usage, which led to lag (thankfully fixed) in Skyrim. The fact that many multi-platform titles tend to be ported over to the PS3 also means that sometimes they don't pay as much attention to the final product (with Bethesda being the main culprit here). Then again the PS3 has half the RAM the 360 has, so it's bound to happen from time to time.

Sure you want to do that? Well, it is just a 1 week trip, but yeah, my friend comes from there so why not.
