  1. Why would we want to use a different DNS? I'm fine with my ISP's DNS servers. Also, your title is misleading. To flush the DNS, you go into an elevated command pompt, and you enter the command "flushdns" without the quotation marks.
  2. Do you exercise a lot? And as I understand it, part of the slowness loading threads was caused by a bugfix for a minor issue that was put in place, and has now been removed. It seems no one bothered to tell Mage that it was having a noticeable impact before today -.- Not sure how much of an impact it was having, but at least for the smaller threads it should help out. I used to exercise a lot, but not as much anymore. I guess I better get back at it lol. Even when I did exercise a few hours a day I'd end up the first with a wet tshirt lol. I'm just made like that I think, and I think part of the reason is I drink probably more water than I should in a day.
  3. Yeah I don't know what's causing the forums to be this slow, but I thought I was alone in this lol. The fact that I sweat so easily annoys me, I always have my t-shirt wet before everyone else... And it doesn't help that we have temperatures around 34 Celsius almost every day and no rain to refresh it around (this summer's been so dry that even potatoes are dying in my father's garden)..
  4. Sorry for the delay, I'm having an extremely busy weekend. Appart from the following line, which I have no idea what the program is, everything seems fine. O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [searchSettings] "C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Spigot\Search Settings\SearchSettings[Caution: Executable File]" After further research on it it appears that it has a very bad reputation. Here is an example with the WoT users: http://www.mywot.com/en/scorecard/spigot.com Also, some sources (and some comments on that page) say that some spigot software use a browser exploit to install software that will capture your keystrokes. It looks like you do have a keylogger on your computer. If you go back to hijackthis, run it again, and fix that line that I pasted in this post, then the computer should be safe, but as additionnal measures, I'd still run an antivirus scan and a malwarebytes scan.
  5. Seems to me like it's like that for a week once in a while, and this week is the worst so far. I usually just wait it out but then again there's always someone on the team with a recon drone that counters that. I usually destroy UAVs and Counter UAVs for the pointstreak, if I have the chance.
  6. I suggest against downloading AVG. The antiviruses used in the OP are already much better than AVG. What I'm thinking here is that there is no keyloggers. Either your info is too easy to find, or your password is too weak. I would still run a scan (and save a logfile) with hijackghis, and post the information of the logfile here so we can check what's running.
  7. Yeah, not seeing a picture annoys me too, I often see "Posted Image". Wondering what website the people that the pictures don't appear use.
  8. I occasionally use the recon drone yeah but even without it I get at least 20 assists per game, I do a lot of corner checking and I often use the Recon perk. The emblem is 5 kills with a single precision airstrike, and the title is the 1000 headshots with the P90 yeah.
  9. Can anyone top the amount of assists I have? :P [hide][/hide]
  10. I'm actually getting more speed than what I'm paying for. Dat Latency Although with speedtest.net I get the same speeds but a ping of 32 ms with a Toronto server (from Northern New-Brunswick).
  11. Looks a lot like what I've seen on facebook games (not that I've seen much, I spent maybe 5 minutes in a facebook game ever since getting a facebook account.

Today, I got my first sunburn ever on the top of my head. Looks like I'm losing hair.. Acutally I've known that for a while and my hair used to be thicker than most people, but I'm too young to lose my hair... Trapical was awesome. Also to you guys in the 2 last posts, AVG is a very bad antivirus, and MSE is a good choice. I'd probably also run a scan with Malwarebytes, Duff. I've never had a Virus on my computers in the last 2 years. You just need to know what not to run, and no-script and ad-block plus are very good add-ons.

A pretty short time, probably should stop procrastinating and do it before you run out of time? :P I know how it feels though I often procrastinate too. Also, for me, the amount of posts doesn't have anything to do with the person that posts. If it's a good post, it's a good post. If not, then it's not a good post. A lower post count just gives less chances of knowing the person, the more you see the person post, the more you get to know what kind of posts to expect from them.
  14. If you get pooped on because you don't announce it, then do announce it. Your brother might find it annoying, but he was the first to do this kind of thing and was rewarded for it.

I think 200 for that height is pretty good. I'm 6'1" and I'm more than that, and 200 would be in the healthy zone.
  16. They've put quite a lot of work on that server, when I was connected to it there is just so much stuff that has been built on it, and it's all pretty awesome and well built.
  17. Asus also has a great costumer service. I've had issues with my Republic of Gamers laptop and it took less than a week to have my laptop back and working (it wasn't turning on).

I used to read them because I thought it was funny, but they're not anymore, probably for reasons already stated here. Now I just read them when I have nothing to do.
  19. I don't mean to push my opinion on you, but from what I've seen, Alienware is overpriced and breaks very easily, and a lot of them also have overheating issues. I've seen it for myself. I know it's a very small sample, but out of the ~15 people I've seen with Alienware laptops, 10 of them had issues in the first 3 months of owning their laptops. 3 of them due to overheating, and the rest due to breaking parts (such as the screen dying, keyboard falling in pieces, laptop not powering on). My opinion is that Asus stuff is the "god tier" stuff like you called it here, simply because of their quality and durability (which only excludes their republic of gamers laptops).
  20. Saw some gameplay on youtube, looks like a very boring game.

There's no CoD vs Battlefield, they're not even for the same type of players.
  22. I had laptops with chiclet keyboards, and I've had no issues whatsoever with them.

Changed the google account that my youtube account was linked to. Lost all of my subscriptions, but was able to build it back to 56, which means that out of my 214 subscriptions I had, only these were still active posters.
  24. Any windows or Linux based PC can do as well as a Mac on Editing and will cost much less for the same performance. Also if you want to play games, forget the Mac, not many games work on it. Also, price wise, go for the Windows based PC instead of a Mac PC. You will pay much more for the same specs with the Mac, at least double the price. Also, never go for AlienWare, it's overpriced computers that will break pretty easily. I suggest going Asus for a laptop.
  25. You guys have so much money to spend lol. I bought: Portal 2 Test Drive Unlimited 2 (was told it was very good by a few friends).
