  1. 1. More accurate results were enabled to be calculated as a result of the update. This is technically both a pro and a con since you hit higher but your opponents hit higher too. It doesn't matter what your attack level is since you'll perpetually be fighting monsters (that have higher defense or the same defense as you) and players, who obviously have the same or higher defense level as you (unless you like to pick on lower levels, but that's besides the point). Contrary to your belief that the pro and cons are equal, that is, quite frankly, not the case. Although this will not affect things as much when defense levels are similar, there is a massive difference concerning lower attack levels(Generally lower leveled players) against people with higher defense. The lower attack person will hit MORE, compared to the old numbers. this will diminish the use of Defense against lower leveled players. Furthermore, if my attack is already much higher than the enemy's defense, I have, essentially no bonus. 2. Horizons were opened with this update. An update doesn't need to do something immediately. Although no updates with regards to the Constitution skill have been released, we can still count this as a pro since it ALLOWS new updates. Whether the updates are good or not isn't relevant. The fact is that it opens up the health system to new updates. We don't NEED updates to make ourselves invincible. What kind of reasonable updates will there be? This is simply "raising" then maximum limit of skills past 99. Anything that comes from this will simply make the game easier. Whereas most bosses 2 hit players, this just gives players more time to react, more time to eat, and more time to teleport. I read on one of your posts there is no change to exp/h (or something like that, cba to quote, but it was in a blue color) Thats obviously untrue. It is much easier for lower levels to train (this was Jagex's premises), as well as give a small boost to higher levelled players by, essentially, eliminating 0 hits. Since most people train on things lower levelled, it can only be assumed that the defense of the monster is lower then the attack level. And I still don't understand what you mean by all of the cons getting neutralized. Runescape uses a random number generator. I'm not sure how we will adapt to make our hits more/less accurate. BTW, challenge to name one update that isn't just raising the HP "cap"
  2. THATS EXACTLY MY POINT. Whereas before, you don't get hit as much;now, health slowly disappears I'm not complaining I die when I get piled.
  3. I didn't know a preference/opinion could be wrong. Anyways, I would love it if you could make a chart of the estimated Gp/Hour chart. I could do it myself, but I'm a lazy cabbage. Nice guide, but I don't see the need for all of those different posts. Makes me have to scroll down further,
  4. I think it depends on your level. A level 50 with a Skillcape is impressive. A lvl 60 with a combat related one is quite amazing. However, a level 130 with a skill cape isin't as impressive. Its already obvious you'd have many 99s. A fire cape shows you've done something that depends on your skill, rather then clicking.
  5. Don't YOUR 10s-20s eat away at the lvl 90s' health too? I can't trade hits in a fight like that. Even if its damage under 10, which is usually the case, if I have 10-20 people doing that my Health will fall before I can kill them fast enough. Before, they would all miss, except maybe 1-2 people. Now, its constant damage. Granted I do "eat away" at their health, but at the rate I'm losing health, I'll only have killed maybe 2-3 before I die.
  6. Can you guys all stop flaming each other? It looks idiotic when its just a long post full of quoting something that is irrelevant. OT: The reason I dislike this update is that its not as simple as multiplying by 10. Before this update(and when I was a member), I can easily kill 10-20 lvl ~90s. Now, the constant 10s-20s slowly eat away at my health. QQ due to not bring OP.
  7. Fundamental Flaw: Magic attack bonus comes mainly from armor. Range attack bonus comes equally from weapon and armor. Melee attack bonus comes mainly from weapon. This gives melee an innate ability to switch around what they equip. It lets them counter all other combat types. For that reason, they are the most dominant in PvP. Melee armor also counters two forms of attack. Range one, and magic none. Melee also has a much higher max hit, as well as better special attacks. Damage done is more controllable, rather then random.
  8. Wow.... I quit RS for a few months, and this is still here? Scim>Long We can't look at a particular example to determine which is better. Granted by some freak accident I could get more EXP with a bronze dagger. Look at the stats. You'll notice the Dragon Long has +2 more Slash Accuracy, aswell as +5 Str bonus ontop of the Scim. It would seem it is alot, but it really isin't. +2 slash accuracy is simply so little by itself i's effects won't even show noticeable difference. +5 strength MIGHT increase your max hit by one. However, the Scim is much faster. Although not quite 2x as fast, its somewhere between 3:4 - 5:7. That means, if attack speed was normalized, the Scim would have slightly under 2x the stats as the longsword. It's faster attacks completely nullify the +1 damage or +2 accuracy. Its also more realiable. If a D long misses, its quite alot of damage gone. When A D Scim misses, its not as great of a loss because it's attack is faster. The D long can only compare to the Scim if it had infinite special attacks on targets with very low armor/defence. /end
  9. Triple Dbow spec ^^
  10. Nice, but since you took the pic in the bank, and hid the last line of the chatbox(a line which would show the opening on the bank), its more then reasonable to suspect that you might have took some of the loot out of your bank. But nice kill if its legit.
  11. erm.....well who's fault is that then? If I'm concerned about something I certainly do read the rules, I have no sympathy for someone who moans about a problem they could have prevented if they had taken responsibility for their own actions. I've been scammed before, when there was no trade limit, yes I was seriously annoyed, but accepted that it was my own fault for getting involved and not checking things out first. Price manipulation is not against the rules, anyone can take advantage of it, if they want to. Occasionally yes, you may lose some money....but really! yes they will, but it has not occured yet, so my point still stands from my previous post: Yes, its their fault for not reading everything. But claiming everyone who does that is ignorant or automatically responsable is simply hyppocritical. Whens the last time you read the T@A to use software or a game? Whens the last time you read the 30 pages of fine print in your contract? If there is an absurd obligation on page 27 Paragraph 6, are you really in the wrong for not reading it? Also, like I've said before, we must look past the TINY details and look at the big picture. Price Minipulation is wrong. Reguardless if the rules state it is or not. Am I not guilty of murder because the gun killed the person? Did the knife stab someone by itself? Is murder allowed if its not stated in the laws? Is threatening someone with a bomb different from a grenade? Back to your example...Its true the bar could not be prosecuted. But "right" has two meanings(in this context). Right as in allowed, accepted, and Right as in technically allowed. Now, is Jagex worried about price minipulation? Yes. Infact I can imagine they've discussed this alot. Just as luring was discussed. Alot of people were pissed they (At the time) didn't do anything about luring. The pressure is mounting. Ignoring won't do any good.
  12. LSP is the same. Lookup "lootshare" in the KB. Basically, when someone gets the drop, everyone else's points increase by the same amount so that the next drop will more likely belong to the other person. If it was split, then a high amount of people would amass almost no LSP. It simply makes no sense that the larger the gorup the less LSP matters. Also, LSP isin't given that high. LSP degrades at a rate of 1%.

  14. But it is suppose to absorb dragonfire, and be able to release it. Since when did the D [] shield do that?
  15. Exactly. It doesn't require much hard quests, and is simply combat. I think thats about as close to bonus charms as you can get.
  16. If you think only "newbies" get lured, then your wrong. Luring is very complex. Its not just "follow me I'll give you something good." Its dropping stuff in the wildy, throwign in a "dude look over there." It might be the "trade lure" Etc etc. Thats besides the fact that being new or old is totally irrelevant. Also, reading the rules and all the guidelines...well, lets be honest, sucks. Nobody readys them. I didn't. Jagex law is different from player law. What separates NH from Honor? Some say there is no difference. Otehrs would argue about the virtues of each. But poitning that out was to give an example of a previously allowed activity that turned into a reportable offence. Jagex WILL do something about it. Its not a matter of if, its a matter of when. This arguement...its the same as argueing NH vs Honor, and the barrier, if any, that exist.
  17. Remind anyone of luring?
  18. Hopefully sit and click bosses era is coming to an end  Agreed. I've become very drawn to WoW because of the strategy that's required to attack. You can't just attack then switch to another tab. If Jagex updated their combat, they could probably attract a wider range of players and maybe even win back some WoW converters. RS won't win over WoW raiders. Maybe in another lifetime... I actually read that quesiton, and I was dissappointed. High HP=EVEN MORE sit and click And I hope the death machanic isin't so simple as a certain object or spell.
  19. With I held on to mine. I'm trying to buy at max and its not selling.
  20. Nice tips :P Do change your yellow text color though. On some skins its invisible.
  21. Thats not always true. When training Str, Saradomin Sword wins. Peroid. End of story. Over. Done. kthxbai. Even if the monster has over 80HP, the SS will kill it faster. The GS can't always 1 hit it. Unless you AGS spec everytime in Str gear and hit, its hard to hit an 80. That means you have to hit atleast 2 times. Thats 4 hits for the SS. GS must hit two consecutive 40s, while the SS must hit 4 consecutive 20s. Much easier to do the latter. A GS hits 2 times per whip/SS 3 times. So the SS would need to hit 3 27's..... Its not half the speed. Remember GS's have a lot higher attack bonus so you miss a lot less. I'm not saying GS's are better then SS for training. I'm just saying there are a lot of monster which you'll hit better with a gs then a ss. Again the zerker necklace+obby weapon combo can be better then SS if its a low defense monster. SS is the best general strength training weapon, but not the definitive. My mistake. About the Obby KNife thinig, I believe it got shot down (brutally) in the guide made by BrainyMidget. Altough the GS has a higher accuracy(not much), it is slower. The probalem is that a slower weapon will suffer greatly due to a miss or low damage then a quicker weapon. A single miss is going to put you behind an SS for a long time. A miss from a SS isin't as disastrous.
  22. I keep asking you to prove me wrong. Show me the rules where it says this. You're fixated that its against the rules so prove it. I think Jagex know what they are doing. Obviously they dont hold the same POV as you on how wrong it is. I've stated in another post, price manipulation is a bi-product of RWT and huge amounts of scamming being banned. I'd rather temporarily put up with price manipulation considering what we could have had. In the real world, this practice is prevented by INTERNATIONAL LAW. In the USA, there is a heavy penalty for this practice. I think the major powers of the Earth's POV> Jagex.
  23. So your saying that mods arent allowed an opinion? Give me an example though, just to be sure, for example, if it was like a "Honour Clan" mod saying that VR had just luck in a war where it started as 100 to 50, THAT would be biased. Ofc mods should have their opinions heard. They are people as well. Its just the almost "hidden" insults that they throw at clans. If you read some topics, you know that some mods LIKE a clan. When that clan wars a rival, their comments reflect that rivaly. I'm not saying they are throwing "You suck" around, but its just the little things. Refering to wins as steamrolling, pwning, destroying, etc. Looses as luck, DCs, lagg, rule breaking, crashing. I'm not saying that all examples of ^ are bad, but when they are used on every war, it gives you the idea.... They even openly admit that they are suffering from the "No RSC Post" rule. [hide=From their forums]Our policy regarding the "no RSC posting" rule clans sometimes agree on before a fight takes place: QUOTE (Yoeni @ Apr 19 2008, 11:14 AM) Lately clans increasingly started to use the "no RSC posting" rule. Sometimes clans don't live up to this rule, and post their victory topic anyways. In cases like these, RSC will not be closing these topics. We want the clan world to figure this thing out by themselves. Does a clan not live up to their own rules? Don't fight them anymore, or work it out with them in private (or perhaps even on our boards). Besides, we find the whole "no RSC posting" to be somewhat of a strange rule that we'd rather not support. Other than that, this rule is not exactly helping our board in terms of activity, because topics that would normally be posted now wouldn't be. So this is just a quick note to inform you, if you've got any questions or complaints feel free to PM me.[/hide]
