  1. You just listed exactly what your money is going into. Just because you don't like the updates, doesn't mean your money isn't going into it. Maybe your question is more of, "Why isn't my money going into updates that I like?" Also, even if that is your question, as stated over and over again on previous update threads, "High" level players according to our standards is a very small population of the members, it is not worth it, as a company to make content that solely focus on the upper end of the class. The amount of updates they give right now to the "High levels" is already disproportionate to the amount of "High level" players there are. Note: I am by far not un-supportive of High level content, and would absolutely love it. I'm just logically explaining how as a company, Jagex needs to release updates to the majority, rather than the minority. ~Dan
  2. If I really need to make money right now, I mine Rune or do some crafting. On P2P however, I made almost all my money from slayer and clues, with some random amounts of money added by the occasional skilling and Boss hunting. ~Dan
  3. Also, some people have the money to spend, and nothing better to spend it on, so why not waste the money on the rares? ~Dan
  4. Yeah, why worry about the top 1% who've spent years playing this game? All of my level 90 friends deserve the bulk of the content! I think that high levels do need to have content but it gets on my nerves how people complain about it every week. I don't want to get into the argument though, since I say it every week people's attitudes never change. [/hide] What gets on my nerves is how the majority of your posts are defending JaGeX. You seem to be almost the only one who thinks JaGeX is doing things properly, where as every single high level disagrees. I don't understand how you don't realize the plethora of low-leveled content that is impossible to do at the low levels specified, is unfair to high levels who's skills end at 80 or quests beatable at 100 combat. High levels deserve high level content every week and SHOULD have it every week. There's also nothing wrong with doing a multi-update giving something to both players, but that doesn't happen. I disagree. By having high level content well spaced apart allows for more time to develop and come out with worthy updates, rather than having half-baked updates, which attempted to be high level updates. Also, as a company, it is better to serve the majority, rather the minority, of which the High-levels would fall into. Most of the content that Jagex comes out with focuses on the mid-tiered character, with high level updates and low level updates sprinkled around. Yes, it is true that high level players have invested much more time into the game, and may seem unfair, but as a company, their strategy is justified. Another thing is, things such as the D&D serves as content for all, with people with higher level skills benefiting more from them, allowing the maximum number of people to appreciate and enjoy the update. However, we cannot expect Jagex to live up to every person's expectation on every update, all we can do is simply enjoy it or not enjoy it and move on with our lives (Note, I do not have members at the moment, so I have not tried the new D&D). Perhaps Jagex should move into updating Runescape like many other MMO's out there...once a month, so they can add multiple updates/content, so everyone can be pleased at once. But, I think that if they did that, more people would complain that they're not updating Runescape enough. In the end, not everyone can be satisfied, just go for the masses, and keep their business going. ~Dan
  5. Go for efficiency. Get air runecrafting gloves from FoG (75 tokens, 8-10 winning games). Teleport to varrock, bank, run to air altar. Rest when you need to. Make sure you're using the lumbridge explorer's ring... As far as I can tell, I believe the distance from Varrock center to the bank is further than the distance from the altar. Even if not, I don't think it's worth the 2 spaces sacrificed every trip, along with the fact that you also have the musician on the way back from the altar, potentially speeding up your run. On another note....Adamant arrows are capped at 172 ea now >.>...*raging* ~Dan
  6. I don't think that's what she's speaking about either. If that was so, our "best side" would be pre-predicted based on whatever the interactions are meant to be. I think she speaks about the best versions about ourselves in terms of us trying to achieve goals, and "do what is good" in the quests, and trying very hard to obtain our "dreams" in the game. ~Dan
  7. When was this implemented ? - as far as i know only one piece of ore spawn in each rock at the time no matter how many players trying to mine it at the same time. If it's true (which i doubt) does this also hold true when it comes to mithril and addy ore ? This is definitely true, I've gotten the coal and mith from the same rock as someone else trying to mine it at the same time. It's a lot harder to hit Addy at the same time, given the average time for most people to mine one varies largely. ~Dan
  8. I'm assuming you're talking about the onyx "shortage", it's not so much "merch" clans that are driving them out of control, but rather the change of how you can no longer sell to the Tzhaar shops, that made them harder to get, thereby driving up the price. Although, "merch" clans and merchants probably have played a role in driving up the prices, the general public, and the sudden realization that onyxes are not so easy to obtain anymore is what has driven up the price. ~Dan
  9. Awesome! My 140k addy arrows might pay off now!
  10. Not my oldest picture, but definitely one of my older ones from when I first got members: I'm trying to dig up even older ones... Found as I was typing this up: Old Wildy "Snowball fight" This is probably my oldest picture: Falador when it was first "updated" and I think this was when wildy obelisks were first released, and everyone checking them out ~Dan
  11. You could use MA bank...a slightly longer run to the bank, but not as much crowds to deal with (Assuming that you're doing summoning). ~Dan
  12. This I agree with, except that I think the last digit actually speeds up exp/hr. Constitution really doesn't click in my mind...I'll always be calling it hp >.< ~Dan
  13. I'm personally going with Tortoises... Kyatts will be harder to pick out in CW bank :s That's why you use a different bank like MA, or even Draynor with the glory (Yea, a bit more recharging needed, but better than losing yourself in a mess of Kyatts). ~Dan
  14. Try using this site to calculate the best pouches for you to make: http://users.telenet.be/glodenox/Charms/CharmPattern.html Excellent tool, and tells you exactly how many shards and seconds to purchase, and also tells you exactly in what order to make/trade in pouches for maximum efficiency. Only thing it does not do, is calculate the prices of secondaries, unless you manually enter them in. ~Dan
  15. If you are carefully watching the market (Shouldn't take more than an hour a day), you should be able to make some money off of a Santa. At the moment they are on the rise, don't know for how long though. ~Dan
  16. That does seem like a great idea to implement, but that rule would be very simple to go around. The auto-typers would simply lower the lines per minute typed per certain amount of time so it may simulate more of a "human like" timing. But it would in no way deal with the real problem.
  17. Mod Dan H =] I wouldn't mind buying some of these things, they look pretty nice, just a tad expensive for my taste. ~Dan
  18. But doesn't it annoy you, a member, that every single time you log in, you also have to go past this annoying advert. Personally, I support the lobby, not so much the "advertisement" before that, but hasn't really bothered me that much. My method of avoiding auto-typers: Skill worlds. I have yet to seen any of the annoying auto-typers advertising the merch (price manipulation) clans on there. ~Dan
  19. Personally, I enjoy Fist of Guthix on F2P....mostly because 99% of the time I get matched up with someone I can kill within 5 hits =p ~Dan
  20. This is probably the only further clue with regards to the new skill. ~Dan
  21. It has unfortunately, already been shut down yesterday, except they didn't make the announcement until today. ~Dan
  22. Yep, it more or less has been...no more url manipulation is possible, so unless anyone else has the actual hash generator...I don't think it's possible to gain access to Red dragon. Though according to the J Mods, the data is still there, so if they ever re-open it, all our stuff will still be on there. ~Dan
