  3. I'm wondering, Is there a world were many high level smiths do their smithing. So us regular players can bring materials and get free high level smithing. Like bring 3 rune bars and the smither makes me rune legs. I'm currently in the need of a high level smither so I'm wondering. If not. I would like this to stay open as a discussion topic. Could we create such an world? With the increasing *special* objects in tressure trail's there is certaintly a demand for a service like this. And high level smiths don't turn down a free smithing xp offer. World suggestion? I suggest world 121 - Fredz
  4. Hi there, I need an addy sq shield made. I bring materials and a 2k cash as an extra thank you. I'm currently at varrock western anvils. I will hop to your world.
  5. There are tons of good things with construction. Free bank space! The costume room can hold tons of costumes and capes. Prayer altar for recharging prayers. Also a gilded altar gives 250% more xp when burying bones. Portal room. Great for teleporting to places quick without using runes. Workshop Repairing barrow armor at reduced costs! (also all kind of mold spawns and tools spawns) Teletab creation in study room. To mention a few of the great things construction offers!
  6. I'm hoping for more teleport spells. The main thing I use Magic for is for teleportation. To be honest there are 3 spells that the Lunar Spell needs before I would consider using it on a permanently basis. Home Port The fact that it don't require any runes, not any magic levels, and don't take up space in your inventory/equipment make this a very appreciated spell from my side. House Tele I use this all the time, my house is filled with stuff I cant live without. Prayer altar for recharging and prayer training. Teleport room with essential teleports, and a mounted glory. It is also 100% essential for construction training. High alchemy Not going into details here, I use it mostly when I'm on slayer tasks. Essential for fletching training etc.
  7. Please send "correct information" reports to tip.it staff so they can change the quest guide to say world 131 and not world 2 :) Most people use that as a first reference when finding temple friends,
  8. Well, Its hard to say. I did many quests in RS classic (every available quest except legends quest), and I cant really compare those experiences with the experiences I have from RS2 questing. From the rs2 quests I have completed, (Only two quests I have yet to finish) the hardest one for me was "The Fremennik Isles". Why? Unlike Mourning's ends part 2, and those a like I was not warned by my friends or from Jagex that the quest was supposed to be hard. I walked in with my skilling outfit and expecting nothing but a walkover quest, as usual. However, it turned out you actually had to semi-gear up. So yeah, I have to go with that quest, it was challenging since I was not ready for it.
  9. Definently  We'd have to pay 10$ a month :ohnoes: Runescape is written in Java, not javascript. They are two complete different things.
  10. Well, first of, if Tip.it would change the information in their quest guide to say world 131 instead of world 2. Then that would be a great start. As newcomers will see world 131 and not 2.
  11. Many quests give combat XP without giving HP XP. So questers are now Pest Controlers? But more importantly. High Alching or enchanting don't give HP xp. So the people that have gained 99 magic using these methods are now Pest Control products? Tears of Guthix can give you att, str, mag, rang, def xp without giving hp xp. Genie lamps and other xp lams... So you cant rely calculate it with your method. -.-
  12. If that would happen, it would not be the end of the world: #1: There are two shops constantly stocking for nature runes. (mage guild and mage arena) Slow, but still a source of nats. #2: Monsters still drop nats, so there would still be coming in. #3: In RS classic when there were no runecrafting skill we got most of our nats from thieving the nature rune chest. A method that is now almost forgot by everyone. But it is still possible. #4. Probably the biggest reason. People could make their own. Slower, but not that much slower. Worth it if prices go over 400gp each anyways. Prices would not go higher than 400gp each. At least thats what I think.
  13. Its extremely useful for clans. Too bad that the clan war system in RS is pretty much static. People gather in two spots, count opts and start slaying each other. With teamspeak you could take tactics much futher. Like split your clan up in divisions. Then cordniate all theese by a team leader over teamspeak. Would make trapping, attacking and retreating much easier. Maybe evolve the clan war system a bit.
  14. When you are in the army you learn that you must never question a officers order. Either become a higher rank than him by killing all his team and reign supreme. Or stick to his orders and obey everything he does. Fight pits is all about tactics, not about morality. Keep your friends close, but your enemies closer. Don't let it get to you. Its a strategic play ground. Not a playground for friends. So cheer up. Learn the ways, and get back there ;)
  15. Instant classic! However: I really like the ditch update, because I don't really find it more slow than how it was. (only about 2 seconds slower for me, max) And I like how you can now clearly see were the wilderness line goes. The only thing that annoys me is that you can get from edge to the monk's hang out without entering the wilderness. Oh well. As the wilderness is now CLEARLY outlined. It is time for JageX to make it more dangerous! At least lets hope so.
  16. An update that is good for Pk'ers! This is insane. That has not happen'd in years!
  17. Hmmm Im really not into this rate my stuff things. But my mother makes great *cookies*.. Erm, rating first. First of, santa is for kids, but your strange fruit collection makes up for it, barely. Good slayer gear set up. Creds for that. And of course. KBD heads. Now thats something to brag about. Finally time for my mama's *cookies*. Keep it up Alansson.
  18. With the new "monkey" safe macroing program released 3 days ago I can only see this going one way.. I curse JageX everyday for not taking macroing more seriously.
  19. Well. You are pretty lucky with everything from barrows to DK'. So I assume this is luck based :P Congrats on warspear.
  20. Thanks for trowing the ball into my home pitch. RS Classic. The best source of money in RSC was high level smithing. Personally I bought a Rune Kite for 250k, and that was a fairly good price at the time. You could get a lot more than 10k for a rune ore. Skills were balanced. The best monster you could kill for money was the KingBlackDragon, however it did not drop black hides as it does today. What have changed howver, is that combat is now a lot better money making, the KingBlackDragon now drops black dragonhides aswell, that is an adittional 5k on every single drop. Also, the king black dragon is not considered to be done as a money maker, as you know have barrows for mid level players, and stuff like Dagganoth kings (several drops in the million gp class) and kalphite queen with a 1/256 drop of 15 mil. However, what have happen to smithing? Not a single money making addition since RSC. And the rune kites you could make and sell for 250k? Nope, they are now worth 50k. And mining? Rune mining was pretty balanced with combat on RSC, but as combat has moved forward with tons of "money making" additions. Mining has been standing still. The same is true for Fletching, mostly for cooking, fishing, ... As I hope you have realized reading this reply to your earlier post; what we need is not 'another' money making skill. That equals combat in income at higher levels. But rather a new, innovative skill, that moves the game forward in terms of game play, that do bring in a cert ant amount of money, but making it a "money making" skill should not be top priority. What should be top priority is to balance the existing money making skills. And make the new skill, innovative, and balanced with the other skills in terms of money. Thanks for reading.
  21. Jagex follows what we want. And what we want are more ways to make money. And by doing what we want, the game becomes better for the majority of the players. Most people want zero taxes and free booze. Thank god the government don't give us that. Because that would not make the world a better place. Off Topic: Thanks a lot for a lot of good replies on this topic so far. I hope to see more coming!
  22. monkeyboo2 I don't think you saw my point. Lets just for a second move to real life. If everyone gets twice as much money for the same job as they currently do. The prices on everything from anvils to ships just become twice as expensive. Nothing really changes. If everyone got one of those cool Ferrari cars it would not just be that cool anymore. Money is just a universal trading currency, that tells you how much a "item" or service is worth compared to other items and services. If getting the currency (gp) is easer than getting the "item" or service, the item/service will just be more expensive to get/obtain.
  23. Yes. Runescape is a game. But recently there have been some comments, polls, and articles that have made me believe that Runescape is more like a second reality for some people, than a game. Lets take a look at one of the most recent polls on Runescape.com. What do you most want from a new skill? With a stunning 23.102 votes the winning option was: New ways to make money. Apearantly the largest part of the member community in Runescape wants a new skill that gives them in game currency (gp), rather than fun, innovative game play, or making it an enjoyable skill to train. I see gold coins in Runescape as a bi product of having fun. The only reason I can find to why people want a "money-making" skill, rather than a game improving skill, Is probably that people want money to buy things like cool treasure trail items, party hats, or maybe building a house with lots of nice stuff. However, they fail to see the point that if money is more easily obtained, the prices of these things will increase. If getting 500 mill is twice as easy, the price of a blue party hat will also be twice as large. Having a large house with lots of stuff will not be cool and unique anymore, because everyone have one. People will stop killing dragons for money, because using the new skill will make money faster. Hide prices will adjust, and just become more expensive. The "Money-making" skill wont change anything. There is no easy way to become "cool" or "rich" in Runescape. The term "rich" will adjust and while you were rich having dragon armor before, you will not be rich before you have a third age set afterwards. To be honest with you here, the fact that most people voted for "more money", rather than fun and innovative game play made me so disappointed over the player community that the thought of ending my RS career after almost 6 years of playing became pretty strong and convincing. The fact that JageX recently said that they want to use the poll in a manner to figure out "what to do next", makes me pretty frustrated. I guess I have outgrown this game, and the community a like. If JageX are to follow the opinion of a premature 13 year old kid I don't think this game will have a bright future. This topic is mainly for discussing the direction of rs. If you have nothing constructive to say. Please don't waste peoples time by posting something useless. Thank you. :)
  24. Most fun in RS? Only combat related: Pk'ing/Clan Wars (Wilderness) King Black Dragon / Kalphite Queen / Dag Kings Trips Fighting Cave (fire cape) Castle Wars Oh and big house party's. With drops, trivia, and pvp battles.
