People with mage have "Ice barrage". Its one of the most devastating attacks in game. You will own melee's. Just test it out in Castle Wars.. BTW, mage is a more complicated form of combat. Use tactics and use a variety of spells. First reduce your opponements attack, then freeze him. A tele block perhaps?

But in that case. It means you actually miss, but its a minimum damage cap that it will always give you. So in theory you miss, but it gives out the minimum damage. Now if thats the case this bow is perfect. Thanks for info dark dude.

It seems people need a lecture in how Runescape combat system works. So here goes. 1. Attack: Lets say you have 80 strength, giving you a max hit of 30, using weapon 'x'. Then lets say you get a insane boost to your attack level, giving you an attack level of 1000, (altho the max level in game is currently only 99.) You would not hit constant 30's. You would just hit almost every time. You would still hit as many 4's 5's 6's and 15's as you would hit 30's. Moral: Attack does not affect what you are hitting! Now the same thing applies for rangers. If you make a hit, it is a hit. Its not like if you hit him, you will hit less damage on him because he use ultra range defense armor. A hit is a hit. And when you hit, the dice rolls. If your max is 30. You have the same chance of getting a 5 as a 30 hit. In this example you will therefore hit an AVERAGE of 15damage every time you hit. Now fellow tip.it'ers. As you can see this new bow ALWAYS hit. Making it pretty easy math to determent your chances to survive if 5 rangers gang bang you in a multi combat zone, with the special at once. I believe I have seen a 41 as a max hit with the bow myself, making it a possible 81 damage a hit (81 / 2 = 41, avarage hit of special 41 damage, 41 / 2 = 20.5 average hit of each arrow in a pvp situation). -- Now for the DDS = Dark Bow hype. Seriously, what kind of drugs are you all on? Personally I'm 99 attack. And when I fight against other people in dragon/barrow armor I fail at least more than 60% time of my attacks. My opponents also have the option to entangle me, or use ice barrage spell on me so I cant be able to get close to them. Making me hit nada. With the bow however you can hit from a distance. A great distance actually with long range enabled for the first strike (special). It also.... NEVER MISSES.. NEVER, EVER, Even if you are Saradomin with 5000 defence level and special super god armor with 10 0000 ranged defence. The attack still hits, and if your max hit is 40, it hits with an average of 20,20 in one special attack. Two friends, = 20,20,20,20 ~80 damage instantly on average three friends, = 20,20,20,20,20,20 ~120 damage instantly on average four friends, = 20,20,20,20,20,20,20,20 = ~160 damage on average.. Now you can continue the math if you want to. - Take care Play smart, play safe.

You can hit, but that does not mean you always hit high enough for a KO. Lets say your max is 40. (making the max special 40,40 =80hp) (I have seen higher hits with the dark bow, so 40 is a quite realistic max hit, remember that we are using dragon arrows in my example, not bronze arrows) Then your average hit with the special will be 20, 20.Giving 40 damage on average. Five friends times average of 40 damage is 200 damage. That means if you have four friends, (5 total including yourself) you will on AVERAGE hit 200 damage in 0 - 1 second. Making your target unable to eat, pot or pray. Now lets say this guy was already range praying. You will still do an AVERAGE of 100 damage. Now lets say that you are 10 friends. Even if everyone totally blow their special with minimal hits, like 5,5. Your opponent is still dead even if he have 99hp. The whole concept of NEVER mis, and ALWAYS hit. Just seems very unbalanced for me. The Fact that not even the best armor in the game can give you a slight chance of defending agents the attack seems a little bit... hopeless.

I think the bow's special attack is too powerful in multi combat. It owns melee'rs hardcore style. I mean... It NEVER miss.. Five friends in a multi combat zone using special. And you will KO anyone, even a mighty 99hp and 99 def guy in full granite. As the special hit trough anything.

Having 99 attack or 1000+ slash bonus on a ultra whip would not help you hit high more often. It would just let you hit. I don't understand why people think attack will increase your damage, or increase the chances of hitting high.

I don't get it? Aren't you happy that you get loads of new content? Its a progressive game. You are not meant to be given a abyssal whip from the tutors as soon as you leave tutorial Island. You need to work for most things in this game. Although many people don't know that word.

I voted fremmy. However, the majority of the rs population have never seen anything else than lumbridge yew trees and varrock sword shop. So IÃÆââ¬Å¡Ãâôm afraid that the "Guaranteed Content Polls" Will always be in favor of the low levels..

Why Do people ALWAYS forget about multi combat zones, in the wilderness. Now with a dds you need to be close, very close. And with good armor like guthans the dds spec is never going thrugh, or, a few times. But goodluck hitting 39, 39 on a guy with 90 def and Guthans. The new bow however, can use its spec from a great distance. It ALWAYS HIT, meaning you wont defend agenst it even if you have 99 defence and are using granite/guthans armor. Now in a multi combat zone you are deffinatly dead if three guys team on you and use their specs. You wont have time to eat. You wont have time to pot. You wont have time to pray. And your barrows armor wont help you the slighest in defending agenst the specials.

PS This is A LOT better than dharoks for melee guys. The fact that the special attack ALWAYS hit makes you unable to defend agenst it. When facing dahroks you can defend yourself by casting ice barrage or entangle, making your oppenement freeze and unable to get close enoughf for an attack. If you are melee you can use good armor to make him fail to hit you. However, now with this dark bow that ALWAYS hit when you use your special, all you need is three friends with the bow, and a multi combat zone and you will have a chance better than 70% at making a KO agenst a 99hp guy. Even if he is using full granite or full guthans. As ranged defence dont have anything to say. He wont have time to pot, he wont have time to eat, he wont have time to pray. The spec will probably get nerfed. Not nerfing max damage, but nerfing the fact that it cant miss.. Ever...

About two or three months ago a JageX mod said that we will get another quest continuing the elf story line. HOWEVER, "quote: Don't hold your breath". I assume the quest was in the starting phase, as the mod [garden tool] has leading the past work in the elf storyline was already involved in some other projects. So, a few weeks in development time, and then the classic 30 week wait after the quest is actually finished. I say we might get it by Christmas.

Uh, ur joking. Don't tell me you've never seen a JM buying/selling an object? While JMs have the power to mute ppl, they CANNOT CHANGE STATS OR MAKE ITEMS. I know this becuz this practically ruins the game 4 a mod Also, all mods would be wearing like full dragon, and doing everything they want, and if they can modify stats, all mods would have 99 everything Boy are you on crack? Jmods can modify stats and spawn items at will. I'm sorry that you dont know the difference from Jagex mods and player mods. Obviously. Because it makes you look like an idiot

It is time used IN GAME, and not since they created the account. People seem to have some serious problems understanding this. I dont know why. And yes, JageX does record that kind of data. In 2001 you could even see what person on the server had been playing for the most time (in game time) on the server status screen.

This have happened to me not only in brimhaven dungeon. But also when ranging fire giants under the waterfall. I have always believed that it is some kind of a "hidden" random event. That ticks the aggressive timer back at zero.

Quest complete. I actually had to eat 5 sharks and I used full guthans with whip. (at the final boss) Quick, Fun, Enjoyable quest. Should be a little bit harder perhaps. But I had fun doing it.

The only time I go someplace else than Runescape.com or Tip.it is when I need a street price for a Item. You probably know what site I'm visiting when I need that information. I use Tip.it mainly to read about Runescape discussions. I rarely take part but I like to read about it while I'm playing. (Ps. I would like more "Times like" articles)
