  1. Were you muted or banned as a result? If not, why not?
  2. This thread is great! Now, I want to go to CW asap and attack every low level I see! I want to spend hundreds of bloods and deaths on ancienting the enemy as he respawns! I want to find the lowest level I can, and kill him! I want to annoy as many people as I can just by playing the game the way it's supposed to be played! It's weird how a good, valid strategies become "noobish" and "immature" when it works against some people. Just like in the wildy, when you eat you're a safer and you get flamed for it just because they can't get your stuff. Also, generally speaking, I think higher levels are more mature. But I ain't looking at the combat level when I say that, more the total level. To have high levels in most of the non-combat skills, you do need patience, method and not a little savvy (unless you scam people and buy your way through in which case you are the exception).
  3. I use the following Nose peg Karil's top > Black d hide top Black d hide chaps Barrows Gloves Infinity boots Fury amulet Orange elemental shield Whip and dds for specs Other 10 shark, 12 Monkfish or 13 lobbies Super attack and strength pots Ancients teleport to Canafis I have never used prayer pots at all and can usually fill my inventory with drops before my food runs out. The tele I use means I can run straight back. Just an alternative...
  4. Yeah. Making these is soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much easier with the make all option.
  5. D hides are the fast method, but as mentioned above, you need a lot of money to invest, although you can alch the vambs or bodies (don't make chaps if alching, only if selling sets). Personally, I get ranging up on blue dragons, then craft the hides once I have a few hundred. With this method you could also sell the dragon bones to suppliment buying hides, but again, the hide collecting does take time. If you smith gold with gauntlets, you'll probably have a lot of gold bars that you can then turn into amulets for a bit of crafting xp. Glass making is slow, both collecting resources and making the glass. Flax is just desperate. Good luck
  6. Or you could just go to Brimhaven... Don't bother with Ape Atoll as you'll fail too much. You should go there when you're 60+ at least.
  7. Quickest way possible is probably Pest Control. But are you f2p?
  8. This work has now been edited to include the spirit tree. :
  9. No-one who plays RS owns anything. Jagex owns it - pixels or not, you're only hiring something that will never be yours to own. This is stated right from the beginning. That's why they don't feel they should be responsible for replacing items.
  10. I often wondered what the debate forum was doing as a subforum of rants. It should be moved to a subforum of general discussion or be a forum itself. I support this. :
  11. I backspace any amount to correct a spelling error if I see one, that's just how I am. I think things like ty, nty, nfs, lol, wb, brb, afk, bbs etc. are acceptable abbreviations in the world of e speak. I mean, you'd have to be a complete pedant to insist on writing etcetera instead of etc., exempli gratia instead of e.g., id est instead of i.e. and so forth. Also, I haven't seen anyone saying "buying/selling dragon scimitar" in quite some time. So desriptives like d scimmy, d long, addy large, possibly even rune pl8 would be acceptable to me. : If you started typing sentences like "Would all clan members rendezvous on server number 99 in Edgeville bank at two-thirty post meridiem Greenwich mean time please?", you'd spend most of your time typing. "Clan meet w99 edgy 2.30gmt" would suffice. Even without a capital 'E' in 'edgy!   I do agree that all this "wer joo get wip? iz ownge" is stupid. I automatically assume I'm being addressed by a ten year-old. -.-
  12. I think Jagex should take their history into consideration. For instance, if a player had been playing more than 500 hours in total (arbitrary amount) and it is a first autoing offence, nothing more than a three day ban would suffice. A repeat offence should then result in a permanent ban. This goes regardless of levels in anything as far as I'm concerned. I think this may be how they do it. For example, my brother once foolishly starting using a macro for mining. Within ten minutes he was detected and received a 3 day ban. He hasn't done this since. I don't think it's too far-fetched to assume Jagex do consider the history of the account, and this is only fair.
  13. The trouble with luring muggers is that most of the time the autobuyer will have been there long enough for NPCs to become unaggressive which is why they won't get attacked. I believe that reporting and moving on is the only way to go on this issue. It is very frustrating though. Nothing is sacred when it comes to autoers, they will farm what they can. I do think Jagex should get active on this and fast. Perhaps by making themselves more present in-game?
  14. Crypto - Nice guide, but here is a thought about farmer payments. On my way to 77 farming, I did a bit of calculating and found that my trees die about 1 in 10 times. That holds for both yew and mage trees. A cost/benefit analysys will show you paying for your trees is a money losing option. Yew Trees: 10 tree payments is 100 spines. According to the tipit price guide they sell for 3-4k EACH! That means you can let one in ten trees die and lose out on the 55-65k value of the seed, but save 300,000 to 400,000 every ten trees. Magic Trees: Magics are even worse at 25 coconuts each. It takes 250 coconuts to pay for 10 trees. Coconuts sell for 2-5k. That is a minimum value of 500,000gp to pay for 10 magics, and at the max of 5k each you are giving away 1.25mil, enough to break even, even if 10 out of 10 trees die. Even with kingdom Manamement on Maples 100% you don't get many yews or mages, so you can use the money saved to buy more high xp yielding seeds. If you had the payment ready anyway, then sell it buy more seeds. I am not a 'tree killer' and I do feel bad for my poor trees when they die, but looking at farming economically, not paying the farmers is the logical choice. Yeah, I'm beginning to notice this. My bush patches almost never die either (maybe 1 in 40). Good point well made.
  15. I did that and it didn't work. that's why I reverted to the small pics.
  16. I think that as a mid level character, you already have something to work at beside this... :-k gl
  17. First thing I did was try to find Falador - all I had was newb map (didn't know about world map). That was an adventure in itself what with getting mugged, meeting NPCs, getting attacked by over-zealous jail guards etc., and generally getting lost. When I finally got there, I mined until I could do Doric's quest. Did that, then discovered these three suspicious looking blokes north of Fally. This was three days after tutorial. I tried pickpocketing them and it said you can only do that on a member's server. I got members that minute. Then I discovered farming... Love me faaarming. :
  18. FOR GOD'S SAKE STOP QUITTING!!!!!!! You'll end up with heart disease working all these shifts... :
  19. Old folk with their tankards of ale and their game of dominos farting on about the good old days when you could get RSI from getting an inventory of logs. Yes, yes. Please regale us with another tale of yore about RSC and I'll pop open a bag of Werther's Originals... :-s On topic (sorry about that  ) Best update - Acheivement diary imo :
  20. Okay, here's a pic of the d full. It's not for sale btw =;
  21. Can't see them getting nerfed anytime soon. But...wait. this is Jagex we're talking about... :-k
