  1. Training slayer is always good. If you have an assignment you'd find difficult to melee, just Burthorpe it and go on to the next. Otherwise, fire giants offer little resistance and are hallyable at waterfall, and greater demons are quick too.
  2. Messages from Jagex like the following... Dear member, thank you for your report. We would like you to know that as a direct result of your report, the offending player has been banned from Runescape. Furthermore, we are happy to return to you your scammed abyssal whip and Santa hat. Also, as an act of goodwill and compensation for any emotional trauma involved, we would like to present you with a white part hat, gratis. If you have any other concerns whatsoever, please do not hesitate to call Andrew Gower, customer service on 01223... You get the gist...
  3. Burthorping metal dragons (too expensive) and generally any monster that requires you to finish them off and that can't be safe-spotted (due to lagging out and dieing). I don't mind kalphites now we have the Keris dagger; I used to Burthorpe those. Favourites are bloodvelds, aberrant spectres (no prayer used =; ) , blue dragons, fire giants; generally 'cos I cut through these like butter... :
  4. At 120 combat I don't get much in the way of threats from pkers (I think I've been attacked once in the last 10k runes and managed to glory to Edgeville between specs ftw!). I will continue to rc whether I have braclets or not, but still wear them when I can. Nice job, Jagex, making life a bit more difficult for rc pk twerps.

  6. Just train defence melee at pc, and take mage gear with you. When the opportunity arises where you can ancient a bunch of baddies, whip on your mage gear and away you go. This way, you are training defence mainly, sometimes mage, and you can spend points on mage. The benefit is that you only use runes when there are enough targets to make it worthwhile. For pc I equip - Zerker helm, proselyte body and legs, rune boots, barrow gloves, seers ring, fury, rune defender and whip. Switching to mage I use - Ahrim's minus staff, ancient staff and infinity boots. It takes about 2 seconds max to change gear, and you could add unholy book or mage book to the list if you want.
  7. You need to go to the log shortcut and cross the river to where the busted glider is, then straight north will lead you to the spots where you catch them.
  8. Lol! If I was buying one I'd have put this in the marketplace, but ty anyway. I have seen people offering up to 550k for them in desperation. I just wondered if anyone had sold any at high prices. I got a tuber after about 400% favour ftw. Now completed all tasks (used only 2 p pots to get to 360 in fight cave and did first 4 waves of 360s before I got bored and suicided).
  9. I just tell them what it says in my sig below...
  10. Dressed up to the nines in full Guthan's, strength cape, infinity boots, fury amulet and I was showing my friend where the fire giants were in Brimmy dungeon. In return he said he'd give me a little present which was 1k nats, so I had them on me too. : We explored the fire giants, and he asked "Are the metal dragons around here?". "Ye" says I. "Where?" he asked "I'll show you" says I. #-o You can guess the rest. Basically he goes one step too far towards bronze dragon, and gets wasted in two hits. He's dropped his stuff. Only fools follow fools and I tried to grab a couple of bits and tele. I get owned in three hits and wind up in Fally with my Guthans top, skirt and my fury. I think this wins the stupidest death in this thread so far... =D>
  11. You need 3 of one type of gem, the trading sticks to pay for the machete and one gout tuber which can be very frustrating to get. Best of luck.
  12. As well as the above advice, glassblowing is good too. Also, if you're into smithing lots of gold, gold bars into amulets is okay xp too.
  13. Strength makes much more difference when 70+ than attack does. I'd go for high strength and defence. If I had to give one of these a point - strength
  14. 1) where do you train from lvl 1 str+ - chickens, goblins, then cows. At 25+ you could do minotaurs as they drop iron arrows and rune ess. 2) what is a good level to pk at? - I started successfully at 40 att, 55 str and own peeps 10cb lvls above me hitting 12s and 13s. 3) at what level should i train my attk up. - 40 att gives you rune, depends on what wep you use, but rune owns in f2p. 4) max attk 10? - rune is best imho, so see above 5) good traing areas (f2p) for lvl 40 str+ - hill giants hope this helps \
  15. Draynor, as mentioned above is good f2p. P2p would be south of seers. There are seven normal trees as you go south from the bank, and then you come to a small forest...
  16. Ice bursting at pc is great value for runes imo, but not barraging necessarily. If I do pc, I switch to mage gear only when then opportunity arisies to hit many monsters. I can get 2.5-5k xp in about one minute this way. How can you beat this much xp in such a short time?
  17. It's Murcaily in Tai Bwo Wannai village that gives you a Gout Tuber in My Arm's Big Adventure. Not sure if this can be repeated though, or wether you can get multiples from him, or even if this is the right kind of tuber for that matter. :(
  18. With this new achievment diary, a lot of people are having problems with finding a gout tuber. They are apparently being sold for up to 500k or even more! Anyone else having trouble finding them? Is it possible to get more that one tuber from My Arm's Big Adventure quest (if so, you could be on to a big earner there!)? Your thoughts and experiences plocks... :?
  19. To hell with that. I like casting burst and barrage spells at pc. Often I come away with 2.5k - 5k xp from about 1 minute's casting. That's what I call value for runes.
  20. Try putting two or three toadies down, they will come a lot faster then =)
  21. Nice update in my opinion. A majority of the people who dislike this update appear to be people that hate quests. This diary of achievements is not something I'm going to rush through. In fact, I'm saving it for when I'm stood at the bank and don't know what I fancy doing next. I think that's how it's intended to be approached. Having a little time off from the usual rat race and leisurely wandering around the island performing strange and seemingly arbitrary tasks can be quite theraputic imho. : Interested to see what else they come up with in this diary...
  22. If your sole aim is to make bucks and get nowhere fast, then merchanting is the way to go. There are plenty of good guides on this forum. If you wish to train skills, then runecrafting, crafting, smithing, druidry and woodcutting/fletching/hi alching are all good when you get higher levels. Runecrafting probably pays the fastest when you get to 44.
  23. Pretty surreal. Or surreally pretty. :D
  24. Yea, um... Stand next to the sara statue, to the WEST of it, but next to it. Then you can right-click on the map and choose "follow" or count steps manually. Hope that helps.
