I reads Pendragon =) its ftw. the most recent was the Ibara one right? I read it and enjoyed it. My favorite series goes to: Alex Rider, Gatekeepers (both by Anthony Horowitz) or Demonata series by Darren Shan. Favorite individual, nonseries book? God thats hard to decide. Probably Fire Bringer by David Clemens-Davies. First book to make me cry. and its very sad to see a grown warren211 cry. Favorite Genre? all types of fiction (preferbly fantasy and sci-fi) I'm looking foreward to next Inheritance book in sept and next artemis fowl book (didn't even know it was coming out until this thread!) in summer and the next demonata book in oct. this year's gonna rock for book releases. Yesterday at my library I was browsing books and looked on the sorting cart. There, gleaming to my eyes was book 6 of the Demonata series. I didn't even know it was released. I grabbed it and borrowed it from the library immediatly. I was amazed I got it. normally in-demand books had dozens of reserves before it was on the shelf yet. now anticipating book 7 in october.

It'll take me a while to get used to the new forum lol. awesome job though. Its sad that we lost so many posts. I had a thread that had several hundred posts and it died down to 160 =( and the smilies died? noooooes. I am a fan of the offtopic boards and so many of their discussions are gone now. its gonna take a while to get back up but hey, tipit survived hackers before, it survived dear members deaths, it can definitly survive something like a rollback. We'll lose a few angry members, we'll have some hurt feelings, but hey, the guy who bs'ed us might have actually helped us upgrade the forums. had we upgraded normally (having the staff purposely take down the forums for a few days to upgrade) hurt feelings would have gone to the staff itself for an "unnecessary change" and people would complain about the new layout. at least this bs'er provided us with a scapegoat =) random question: if someone made a tif account within the last 2 months, would the account be erased because of the rollback? that would seriously suck.

Oh my goodness..... another delay???? A whole extra month to wait.... First iot was june/july. then september. then december. then february. now march. How much stuff can possibly be needed to be put in the game? every time there's a delay it couples with a new update for the game. their delays are making us impatient. it better be worth all the wait.

I remember once when a spammer came in and started saying "sals owns tipit". he was one of those jumpers (come in, spam, get out before you get kicked, lather rince repeat). this particular guy was a bit slow to leave. so Lady and one other chat mod both kicked him but his name was next to mine on the chat list. we both got kicked and i felt so lonely at the barrows for another hour :( Verac had to be my best friend for a while.

Well they said the update will come in the first half of the year. and that they're still working on it. so it probably won't be coming any time soon. it could be anywhere till June. and of course like Summoning and construction there's always the possibility it gets delayed. impatient pkers won't like that.

Umm, keep in mind repairing a grave does cost quite some prayer points. ever considered maybe the guy needed them...? I got very angry when I lost 1m worth of items after being kiilled by a revenant. I managed to get most of my stuff back but the people who were there (this was by the mage arena bank, there were people there) didnt bless it. I got upset that i only managed to retrieve a few of my things before they dissappeared but hey, they don't have a right to be "polite". it would be very nice to repair a grave, but you shouldn't get too angry if he doesnt repair even though it could have saved you millions.

Well now people have gotte used to pure ess. changing now would cause many complaints, even from the people who didnt want pure ess in the first place. I could do with less randoms though.

If you think that just because you can summon ingame that means by the power of satan you can summon in real life, please put down the computer mouse and turn on a nice baptist church channel. I think its fine how the mod handled the statement in a professional way. They don't endorce satan. if they did, there'd be a lot more satanic reference than a summoning skill. in fact, they were forced to REMOVE the "satanic reference" at one point. remember the demon symbols in some dungeons in runescape? AKA pentagrams? what happened to them now? they got removed because PC cultists considered it satanic.

I'm not gonna bother chasing the skill to 99 because I don't have enough time to no-life all the way to 99 with a brand new skill not knowing the most efficient way. I plan to just train the skill the best I can taking advantage of whatever methods there are before they get nerfed until I get to a level thats useful enough to stop at (maybe around 50?).

Hey guys, I've been killing pirate zombies for a while and haven't gotten a karamthulu yet. I decided to fish for one. problem is, I can't use the fishbowl and net to make a karamthulhu fisher thing. How do i fish karamthulhu? is it only during the quest?

I'm fairly certain Jagex did this on purpose. I mean, it seems rather odd that the karamthulu just happens to be a drop from pirate zombies and then when you "summon" it it just happens to do nothing besides walking around. surely a bug or oversight would mean the karamthulu might do more than just walk around? maybe help in combat? and why is it that when you try to talk to it it says "nothing interesting happens"? surely if the karamthulu was a real bug, SOMETHING would happen if you talk to it? someone had to have programmed it so that it says nothing interesting happens when you talk to a squid. the game doesn't just randomly generate the sentence.

Killing pirate zombies right now, no luck on the kara drop yet after 30 mins. :( I'm fairly certain this isn't a bug. There's way to much coding to make this an accident, and if it were a bug chances are you'd be able to do more than just watch it move around. it would do what normal summoning monsters do. last thing, how on EARTH do you guys come up with this??? did it suddenly come to you "hmm lets die with a karamthulu and see what happens"? jeez wonder what else can be summoned like this... i'll have to try vulture eggs. anyone with multiple karamthulu's? try bringing a bunch of em in your inventory. when you die, you might summon a karamthulu army?

The granite crabs fits perfectly in the anagram. I'm pretty sure its spot on and it appears the granite crab may help fishing. Evidence: 1. Look at the newspaper cutoff on the buletin board image. notice the name of the author of the paper "Annette Fisher" (a net fisher) 2. Look at the dev diaries. its already been said that granite crabs are summoning monsters 3. The most recent dev diary. there's a picture of a summoning pouch with a claw on it. Granite crab claw? 4. most recent dev diary. a mod says that summoning WILL benefit skillers. So the granite crab might well be a fishing helper, but probably for net fishing. Man I'd definitely like a granite crab for net fishing. that'd be extra help in getting monkfish=uber fishing exp!

The title and part of the story itself makes it seem as though medics are banning blood just because the donor is gay. thats not exactly the case. remember, LIVES are on the line here. I would think a person's sexuality is the last issue on anyone's mind when someone is willing to donate rare blood to save a life. Its because of gay sex that there is a ban. who knows the health risks? If it were me who needed blood, I wouldn't like to know that my donor may very well have had sex with another man and got some kind of disease I could get.

i believe a 120 can still obtain 126 or a bit higher through 99 summoning. problem is, when he goes to the f2p world is he a 126 or a 120? if he was a 126 it would be unfair because he'd fight other 126s even though not all of his stats are maxed.

it sorta works like the old wilderness. customer kills the seller and takes the items, now of course he has the "can't leave" penalty and cannot leave the arena. thats what Jagex was trying to do: trap the gold buyer in the arena so they can hopefully get killed. however, now it seems the gold sellers simply bring a massive army of gold farmers in the arena to protect the buyer until the penalty wears off. One thing I don't get: you can't take coins in the arena. how do they trade? whips and godswords?

well I'm eprsonally fine with the 2 waves. I mean, many players summoning major amounts of monsters= pwnzort lag. for the first few weeks, I thinkw e should stick to the first batch of monsters. it helps prevent people from no-lifing all the way to the top. even though some people will do it anyways, it'll be a lot longer with less monsters. if all monsters are released at once, chances for bugs are increased. lets get a few monsters first. check for bugs, have fun with them. then if there aer bugs they can be targetted early and not abused with the major summoning monsters that might coem in february. then once everything is in order, a quick run through of the february batch and bam, more monsters to summon :)

I've also heard (and it says in the bestiary) that vultures drop vulture eggs. I'm gonna get me some!
