  1. finally beat story mode. man! the game was awesome! Anyone know how to help with my multiplayer dillema?
  2. Well I never played habbo before, so I'm gonna say... WHAT??? You have to PAY real cash for pixels in Habbo??? Jeez, and I thought WoW was expensive... I guess this is one reason Jagex restricts real world item trading. Not only because of ingame unfairness, but threats from no-lifers in the real world too. Comon, stabbed to death over a "dragon sabre?" not sure what game thats from (unless it was misread from a dragon wep in runescape). Either that item was worth a life savings in the game, or the murderer just had serious issues... and now, you can even get arrested for this! Now, I think thats a very good idea. Since apparently habbo items cost real world money, that means stealing the pixels that cost real world money is equivalent to stealing real world items costing real world money. in otherwords... real world stealing. Remember kids, thats what you get for scamming!
  3. ROFL! Now we know for sure: Jagex hates fansites. We kind of got the hint when the kb was released and it didnt deter people from he fansites, along with thw quest help system. Now with the new game, they have experience to start with. Theyre gonna make it hard to make new scam sites and fansites. I guess if tipit was to make a fansite, we'd have to make it a branch of tipit like we did for LOTRO.
  4. Awesome guide! i'm gonna consider b staff crafting now. Btw I lol'd at your "Thanks to" section. "Kelp-for being there" hehehe...
  5. Well, I don't think its entirely necessary. Jagex can already unbann, its not like sending them to a void where they can do nothing but chat and then sending them back is a huge difference. Besides, scammers and hackers and serious rule breakers do not deserve to be able to chat or get back on the game. They need to get out and stay out. Giving them some mercy is like cleaning up jail cells or making them much more comfortable. Its called prison for a reason, its not supposed to be for your comfort. Besides, this update would be seriously hated if it gave out disks of returning or made them infinite stock/untradeable. Merchants would rave.
  6. Someone please introduce me to the absolute moron who wrote the review. I'd like to point out a few things to them. Whoever wrote this obviously didn't play enough. Forgetting this game is 13+, forgetting that most 5 year olds cant type or read well, and not bothering to play enough to realize that, if there are any 5 year olds at all in the game, there's an incredibly low amount of them.
  7. I voted TzHaar because I think the entire area and all the Tzhaars look too similar and could use a bit of a change. But apparently some people are misled. The poll said which place would you like GRAPHICALLY updated. They never said anything about new content.
  8. *sigh* the usual idiotic, one sided stereotypes against younger players and Miniclip, said by someone who was obviously as immature at that age. I'm fed up of these age rants. Not all little kids are immature, not all Miniclip players are little kids, not all little kids are beggers, and certainly not all beggers are little kids. This age rant includes a large amount of stereotypes that frankly make people seem more immature than the "little kids" they rant about.
  9. Err welcome new tipiter! Make sure there are stickies on your thread before you post next time! Btw you must now undergo the trial of initiation. You must sing Old McDonald while hanging suspended over a pool of sharks while eating month-old pickels... in Germany. Good luck!
  10. Umm... quick question guys. I've been working through the story mode and decided to try out multiplayer. So I checked it out but found a problem. When I clicked Join server (i have cod4 for my laptop btw), i got a blank lost of servers. How can I join a game? Do I have to beat the story mode first? or did I just happen to stumble upon the game when all the servers were empty?
  11. Defense pwns. Thats why its a stat. Its up to you to decide whether to train it. You shouldn't complain because someone chose a different route for combat.
  12. Wait.. so you're saying this new program can keep guessing passwords until it finds the right one, then sends it to a certain person? Good lord! when will the chinese give up?
  13. I've also gotten a particularly dangerous popup. I have Norton and it still got through. Its a popup claiming to be the result of a system scan, saying "warning: high risk software detected!" and lists 3 viruses you have. Two are backdoor viruses (no idea what they are) and one trojan. Anyone who knows about computers will recognize "hey, thats not my program! what a scammer!". but many people will think "oh no gotta scan the system". You click the button that says "remove" and it asks to run a file. Once you do, a virus is downloaded. I don't think its related to what you're talking about, but Its certainly hazardous.
  14. If you have a lot of friends, little siblings, and a family who would never touch a game, you gotta get the Wii. In other, more complex systems, you gotta get used to the buttons and advanced controls. All you need to know is how to shoot someone, and you end up learning everything except that. Well, with the wii there is a very easy game you can pick up very quickly. From the massive adventures in Zelda, the crazy fast pased action in Warioware, to a nice relaxing game of bowling in Wii sports, Wii's got everything you want for anyone you know.
  15. Heh, when i read the title i thought "oh crud. a nerd proposes to a girl online who he never met?" Then I read the post. I think its an awesome way to propose in a way that bonds the two together: playing Halo. Gratz to the new couple!
  16. Heh Ima so get the game. I enjoyed sunshine, played it for ages, never got boring. I'm sure galaxy won't dissapoint.
  17. I hate both of them. I've been bsed plenty of times before. Its not fun. I've only been lured once before the wildy ditch, but i knew it was a lure so i banked everything but a dds and tore the crud out of the mage lurer (he got away, but wasted a lot of runes, pots, and sharks :D ) While I think bsing is a very low tactic, even below looters and pjers, I would think it'd be hard to report. After all, all Jagex is gonna see when you report them is you in the wilderness and dying. Plus, what if they don't talk or trade? you can't catch them. Guess the lesson here is watch who you team with.
  18. My little brother has a friend like that. Keeps calling us because he has nothing better to do. We ignore him. Unhook the phones.
  19. One big mistake here was that you told him. One of the worst things you can tell someone is that you are suspicious of them. Thats why I get very annoyed when people say "reported." Just report them quietly and leave if they break the rules. There's no need to start a big fight. same for telling them "hold on let me look you up." You might as well be saying "I don't trust you. I think you are a rule breaker." Next time, look him up quietly and if you suspect him to be a rule breaker, just report him and say "nvm" to the trade. Its ok to make up an excuse so you don't have to openly accuse him. even if his stats say hes a noob, it doesnt mean he didnt get them fairly and if you are wrong about your suspicions you look like more of a loser then the guy you accused him of, even if you had good reasons to suspect him.
  20. Actually, it does look like an island from first glance. However, upon further inspection it does resemble the Red dragon Isle and Lava Maze, the ground jsut looks a little blueish.
  21. Call of Duty 4 is the most intense and enjoyable game I've played (its also the first online FPS i've played :D ). I enjoyed a couple of the past games (COD2 on gamecube, COD3 on Wii.). Both games have incredible gameplay and graphics. Discuss the game (on any console) on this thread, post your pwnage, and give out hints about this groundbreaking game! Random news on the game: Goods about COD4: -Moving away from WWII battles, now taking place in more modern times with realistic weapons. -online multiplayer is super fun. I've never played a multi player shooter on the internet so this new experience is awesome for me! The game is also being called perhaps the best shooter of the year and is being compared to games like Halo (and not in the overrated sense!) Setbacks -Thankfully, only one small issue. COD fans know that the single player is rather short. You can beat the entire thing in under 5 hours. The COD4 is just as short single player. But it makes up for this with its always-surprising multiplayer. I got the game a while back. Beat the story mode, man was it awesome! so realistic and nonstop action... I enjoyed every minute. Now I'm now moving on multiplayer (for and loyal CoD player, we know story mode isnt known for its length, but the multiplayer makes it never end!). With the constant action and shooting, it never gets boring. Feel free to discuss and ask questions or rate this awesome game! Frequently asked questions: -What is Prestige mode? Answer: [i have not gotten to prestige yet so here's what i learned from better gamers lol] prestige mode is obtained after reaching lv 55 (technically its lv 56) in the multiplayer. you are asked to restart with level 1 again (that means trading all your weapons and earned things) and get a neat symbol next to your name. There are 10 levels of prestige mode (meaning you have to restart your multiplayer adventure 10 times!) and according to top players, there are no special rewards for beating all the prestige mode levels besides the neat symbol. basically its good for people who enjoy levelling and consider "beating" the game to have been too easy. -My game won't connect to the servers! Answer: I had this same problem. according to the helpful players I asked, there are several steps (this info is for windows only): 1. Make sure you have the latest COD4 patch downloaded. (you should be asked to auto update when you run the multiplayer). also make sure you have the latest version of PunkBuster (it should auto update itself, but make sure) 2. Start>>control panel>>allow a program through windows firewall. Make sure the Call of Duty 4 file is allowed through the firewall. also see if Punkbuster is allowed through 3. If it still doesn't work, make sure to be playing on an administrator account. that worked for me! [hide=story mode spoiler!]-In the One Shot One kill level, I shot Imran Zakhiav [bad spellings]. in the final level, guess who returns? Imran Zakiav! what happened? Answer: One of the things the game didnt clarify was where you shot him. no matter where you shot him, the game says you shot his arm and didn't kill him. In the final level, Zakhiav's arm is missing. That means he didn't die when you shot him.[/hide] -Is COD4 a Wii game as well? Answer: Nope. even if it was, gameplay would be rather difficult because of the Wii remote. Wii suxors for FPS but is ownage for everything else. -I'm new to these kinds of games. what is the important terminology? answer:well for starters, this game is an FPS, meaning a first-person shooter (you're playing through the shooter's eyes). Two other common terms for FPS's are nades and campers. Nades is short for grenades, and if you don't know what a grenade is you can put you're little AK47 away and go play MapleStory. Campers (probably originating in early CounterStrike days) are players who "camp" out at common respawn points for players. they may crouch or lie prone under the cover of objects like stairs and garbages or just stand near a respawn and rack up kills by shooting unexpecting players who happen to spawn in front of them. remember to watch out for these people when you spawn or you'll die the moment you respawn. Finally, you might notice peopel saying "gg" after a match. that just means good game. TDM is team deathmatch and FFA is free for all. I thinks that all you need to know for now on the gamer slang subject.
  22. Lol what a mistake. as plenty have said already, J mods and P mods already have that option, players don't have it. Guess that was easy to overlook, the mod who took it musta gotten used to seeing the option and forgot to hide it. Its misleading the whole community lol.
  23. What annoys me the most is how players treat other hiscorers. The Old Nite tragically died. N0valyfe quit recently. How are these players remembered? They're legends. They're awesome. I wanna be like them". Thats very kind and respectful. Now, how are other hiscorers treated? I think you know who i'm talking about. "[insert hiscorer here] has no life. He's a dropout. hes an idiot." Why can't people be respectful? because someone is gone from the game, they are legends. but people who still play the game are "no-lifers." I do call people like the Old Nite very great players, and I think it'd be respectful to show some decensy to other players.
  24. First banning Tag in a school, now this. Where will it end? Banning hi-five's, handshakes, shoulder pats? They really need to reword the rule. I can understand maybe detentions for signs of actual affection, like making out in the middle of school grounds, etc. but for a small hug between two friends? Thats low.
  25. *sigh* here come the "violent videogames" accusations and late night news shows "what REALLY happened" and conspiracy theories. I remember in the thread about Virginia Tech here, a guy commented that this kind of stuff doesn't happen in Europe and Australia. It must be a problem with America. Well, I'm sorry to say, its not only america and its certainly not a happy event. I feel really sorry. I believe its the 3rd major shooting this decade.
