well with autoers and skillers and pures, you already need 60+ in some skills to be even ranked. at one point i was 63 wc and was not ranked because of autoers (but the next day i was back on, proving jagex IS banning autoers by the bundle)

Of course. If you can get every player in runescape to agree, of course we're more powerful. But is it an easy task? nope. trust stakes are basically having a flashing neon sign saying "scam here!" Band together to manipulate prices ingame? might work for a while, then gets messed up when someone who cant get sales simply lowers their price by a tiny bit. everyone else is keeping their price higher, so who's gonna get the sale? Getting the entire runescape community together is as hard as it is in real life. I'd say its a bit too ambitious.

How would they enforce it? not allow trades where someone offers nothing? Well, to combat the effect all someone needs to do is offer a raw chicken or 1gp or something...

Umm... explain to me how scammers can't just walk in and offer their services? and how many people would actually trust a total stranger with their items?

Can someone please explain to me what problem needed fixing in the first place? Lets see... real world item traders apparently used the staking system as a way to give items to their clients. So... can't they just trade the items? why stake it? so what did we accomplish by limiting the stakes? all thast happened was now real world item traders can just trade the items while stakers are mopping up their tears? am I misunderstanding or forgetting a huge detail? It just seems like a rather odd thing to overlook.

Umm... maybe I'm misunderstanding something but... In order to duel, you need 2 computers right? one for one person, the other computer for the other person. So how did this stop any rule breakers? can't they just trade the items instead of having it staked? what was accomplished?

if you ask me, I'd say the 3k limit is absolutely ridiculous. so what, drop traders have one less option. Its not like reduced options are gonna stop them. last time I checked, we still have autoers dispite jagex's attempts to stop them with randoms and other methods. However, I think this is made up for with the tournament. You can stake 3k and earn 64 times the profit instead of twice the profit from normal 1 on 1 stakes. But again, only one person can win, so i guess there are problems... Plus, the rules are randomly generated? what if it has like range only and one of the players isnt a ranger? or allows drinks but someone has sara brews but the other doesn't? Or turns off some armor pieces so barrowers cant fight?

Well like someone else, the entire thing is pure speculation. There's no actual evidence. Jagex is changing a lot of their out-of-game features because of scams. Players are fooled by emails and things that offer free stuff, and they are told to go to a link that supposed to be runescape.com. really, its an imitation site that looks exactly like a login page (not the rs game login) and when you get fooled into thinking its the real runescape page, you log in and get hacked. Jagex first prevented this by changing the forums login so it had a moving image rather than a regular login, thus making it harder for hackers to imitate it. Now, theyre changing everything to make it even harder for hackers to keep up. Besides, they said the changes were "essential maintenence", not optional.

Yea, I love my fixed device. So hot-looking, i bring it to a lot of places just to show off to the noobs and watch them go "omg bazooka!" and then other players try to show off their smartness by telling where it came from but no one listens to them :D

Either they kept quitting in Runescape and starting again after dying their first time, or some other random reason. If not, can someone say "autoer-master"?

When I was a lvl 30, I met a level 70 player named Warren 10. Not sure what happened to him... Also, in another coincidence, I (a dharok) was with two other players in dharok. Both of them had names "war" with a few numbers. So it was "war, war, and warren". Anyone get reminded of the old cartoon network show "edd, ed, and eddy"? Lolz.

If you ask me, this is a very fun opportunity but yet there will soon be a domination scale: low levels- pures dominate. regular players stand no chance unless they have a high def for their level. Higher levels- the strongest player dominates. very low chances a lower level beats someone ten levels above him unless the lower level is incredibly rich or has a good strategy. Avid stakers- they'll raise the stakes immediatly. Put up 1mil (which can be nothing to them), and if they win, easy 64mil for them. People who are not used to staking cant do a thing. Then again, the update sounds awesome and I'll definatly play it since I got some cash to spend.

This article is one of the most misleading i've ever seen. As I said already, it makes it appear as though thousands of people saw the lady die and started booing because now they had to wait AND had to wait with a corpse next to them. Whoever wrote the article added a tiny statement "the public didn't know what was going on." With thousands of people, its not exactly easy to see whats happing to one individual. You can't blame the people exactly (even though booing is very rude), they just boo'd 'cause they realized the had to wait longer. They didn't know the cause. And the person writing this made everyone think otherwise. Shame on the journalist...

Umm... Is it alright if we try to get clans to join us? (it might reduce the number of event crashers too, and increase our odds). I'm sure my clan would love to help.

Umm... don't you think somehow or the other RSC will find out about this and maybe do something about it? I don't know... maybe get some clan members to get involved with them and fight back? IMHO, I prefer chaotic, "watch your back while you hit 10,000 people" style matches. Chaos is fun. Strategy and all ganging up on one is fun and all, but I think itd be much more fun to just beat the crud out of eachother rather then one site. EDIT: actually, I don't think I'd mind an alliance. I'm proposing to my clan to join our side, but of course some of them have dedications to other sites. So if we all had an alliance for the same cause, we could take the same enemy out first, then eachother! "The enemy of my enemy is my friend".

Yea I'm thinking that maybe the GE will be made so that trades can only be made when you're online. This should probably help stop drop traders.

EEveryone is offended by everything nowadays. Especially what Christians do. Whether its the santa tradition or the name "easter break" instead of spring break or the "under god" in the pledge of allegiance, people always seem to find something to be offended by. as a christian, abortion does more then offend me. Premarital sex does more than offend me. Baptist protests at funerals and sites like godhatesamerica offend me. People and TV shows that make fun of Jesus and/or God offend me. But does anyone listen to our views? No. its "liberty". Were free to do whatever we want within reason. Why can't the same be said about "hohoho?" modern society determines slang like this these days. There used to be an old expression, a "[rooster] and bull story". it just means a fake story being told. But modern society has twisted the language, and now you can't use the saying in regular talk because both the words have a new meaning that ruins the expression. Why can't people give eachother a break? You don't like "hohoho"? ignore it. You don't like "under god"? dont say it. You don't like calling it "easter break"? call it spring break then. You don't like "merry christmas?" then say happy holidays. Just leave other people alone and live your own life. If you plan to be offended by something, you better be willing to show lenience to other people who are offended in your ways.

Well I guess the reason they say is worthless is, if their in the US, the electoral colege decides anyway after the vote. They don't always go for the people's choice, like in the 200 election. Public votes gore, electoral college votes bush.

I'd do it, not sure if i'd do it for the iPod, but hey if i had a million bucks for not voting forever I'd do it. A lot of people don't vote anyway, and in the end the electoral college decides anyway.

Did you not read the article? She died while waiting in the queue. Guess where those 1000's of people are.. in the queue. Those waiting didn't seem to care and when the staff heard and actually did something, got boo'ed out for it. Did YOU read the article? Reread the whole thing, particularly the quote for what the lady was saying about the issue. Don't skim and then start quoting other people.

Did it say getting list from master server up the top? If it did, the master server was having problems at that time, it should have been fixed by now. Here's another stupid question, at the top is it set for internet and not local? when I came to the server menu, there was an empty list. i made sure it was set on internet. I wated and nothings happining, so I clicked the refresh button. now its saying "waiting for response from master server" every time i refresh, and nothing happens. I'll try waiting a bit to see, but any other solutions?
