my friend was korean and we were roommates so i picked a lot of basic stuff up through just chatting and also watching korean tv shows w/her. in my experience tho, people were really patient and usually knew some english themselves so it wasn't bad at all. i couldn't speak to what it would be like w/out a kinda guide to help out tho sorry : (

you'll definitely enjoy it, i think. i spent a couple months there a couple years ago w/friends and it was great. it was p. mch my first time spending an extended amount of time in an actual city so that may have informed my opinion one way or another but still korean food tastes so good for reals

yeah nah, it's v. clear in what it suggests. it doesn't say confidence is sexy, it says "hey be confident, look here's somebody who is attractive tho they don't exactly conform to the image of what's promoted in the media, you most likely don't fit the bill either but it's nbd". it doesn't say they are marilyn, it says they are a marilyn, i.e the definition i just wrote. and sure, the message might be harmful to over overweight people who certainly could stand to improve their lifestyle to get healthier and stuff, but a chick w/self-image issues or anorexia or whatever? hard to see how that cuold be harmful to them also lol i just noticed they wrote perky books instead of boobs. this is def a worthwhile image macro hill for me to die on

yeah, it's an obnoxious shitty facebook meme, but it has a decent point, albeit one that could be easily misconstrued your responses wouldn't work because the context is all different. queen elizabeth doesnt have an enduring legacy of being a sex symbol or w/ever, neither does pamela anderson, but you ask some random dude on the street about marilyn monroe they'll 99% be like "oh yeah she was that good looking lady that had the scene in that movie w/the subway vent and everyone posts those awful "if you can't handle me at my worst etc" memes". it's just shorthand to hopefully make people realise that there are different standards of beauty, and they change, and what applies to some people doesn't necessarily apply to others. well namaste

it's cold as balls. legit worried about catching frostbite at work, the loading bay is like an icebox. also i bought a hotspot shield subscription so i can watch hulu and netflix and shit, and now i can't just search current temperature on google because it tells me the weather in san jose or whatever. it takes me like an extra 3 seconds to type in my town and then convert it to celsius and that's messsed up i'm p. much constantly pumping that how could this happen to me simple plan song, cuz it's kinda ruined my life

most mmos are doing stuff like that, w/phasing players into their own zones for certain quest lines (where you act as a large deciding factor) and etc (wow is the big one who does this) and instanced storyline quests (guild wars 2, maybe swtor?). most mmos i've played now lean towards you being a cog in the machine, a powerful p. notable one, but a cog nonetheless. it's so weird eso didn't do something like that, especially with so many factions and etc available to pull from.

yeah the devs posted some stats and it turned out only 5% of buyers finish the singleplayer campaign. for better or for worse, they've become known for multiplayer games, and their options were to either make something as innovative as cod4 was, and still have a majority of their playerbase not touch it, or just scrap it and put all that extra dev time and cash into the multiplayer. i think they made the right decision, fwiwi

i played some of the beta on pc and it's real great. the 6v6 and ai allies are both smart decisions when you take into account how other gameplay and design stuff was crafted around it.

i don't understand why would you say that it's not a job interview then ask a question that you would almost certainly ask at a job interview??? it seems dishonest
