Kent is kinda right. They are high tier for a reason. But having a good Link is a very impressive thing in Brawl. I have good timing and spacing with him because I used to use him before I posted here. I'm familiar with his specials, DACUS, aerials, tilts and smashes, so basically everything. I would love to beat a Snake user (example) in a tourney with Link. Falco is near impossible, Link cant own Wario that well, MK is way too hard

Err, depending on what you plan on killing, there are usually alot of safespots. For slayer check my signature and go to Robin's ranged slayer guide. :thumbup: There are very easy and obvious safespots in alot of places, E.G dragons, demons and the like too.

Lol. What I hate is when people do that and then act more superior to you. Then I flop out the 93 crafting and they usually shut up. What's even worse, is some people think 99 fletching is more of an accomplishment than 93 crafting. :cry: No offence to 99 fletchers.

Rune is the highest metal you can make with smithing so its really normal that is the best you can make, dragon isnt metal.. I dont know what it is. :shock: Combat technically (and obviously) isnt the only thing in the game, but it's a very very high majority. It peeves me. I could give a few opinions on this. Fire staves and battlestaves. Dropped by Pyrefiends. How do they get these in the first place? KBD drops 100~ yew logs NOTED. That makes no sense. And yes, we need more stuff like Hunter (chins), and less stuff like combat getting everything you need. Infact, even Runecrafting is kinda useless since you get almost every rune from monsters. And if you dont get them from monsters you can get them from stores. I am not saying skillers, as in Pure skillers, I mean anyone who trains a skill. Lets take Bauke, Olly, or Centaurian for example. I know Bauke and Olly both like combat more than skills if I remember correctly, but as all 3 have all 99s and are all TIFers, I think it would be reasonable to ask for their opinion on this subject - it may be touchy and people may take offence, but like my Off topic thread, its really true. I am not going to stop playing runescape forever just because jagex favour combat and the like, I really actually dont care that much. But I would love it if scape was fixed so every skill was equal and had its own use. There should be a way to aquire seeds from like a minigame instead of monsters, and monsters shouldnt drop herbs. But obviously, the game is engrossed with stupid drops that fixing it would take a very long time to work and will upset alot of people. And yes I know i drifted semi offtopic and failed at typing half of that.

True but this still doesn't really address my original question to the OP Why would you want to buy both armadyl AND karils. He said karils for melee. But armadyl would fair just as well if not better for melee. So it still stands why buy both? The OP corrected himself not knowing Armadyl had a good magic defence bonus. I would just buy Karils and void for simple ranging. I would also buy armadyl because its like, my favourite armour :)

I would go with this, especially if you are training range. But even at the low levels you should rarely collect green charms. It should be casual collecting unti honey badgers, then you begin charm-farming crimsons.

Yeah but its not like Armadyl is a massive improvement to Karils for magic defence. However it is better for ranging, its not better than void. I give it that its good for tanking but I dont see how its so useful. However i love armadyl, so I would buy it.

Karil has magic defence and is apparently best in game by defence/price ratio. But I'm not sure on it.

The DFS has a relitively good use, and is necessary in some places, whereas the BGS is useless and only useful in GWD. So if you go to GWD often (Bandos) you should get a BGS over a DFS. DFS over BGS if you dont GWD very much though. But neither are even that great. Personally I would BGS if I went to GWD since the money could be made back relitively quicker than killing things with a DFS.

They do it make the game more intertwined and give you more motivation, that way people who like combat will have an incentive to train their skills and the people who don't like combat will train the skills because they already find them enjoyable regardless of the combat rewards. What about chins? I didnt understand the first statement very well lol. As for chins, it's what I like about hunter. It is completely independant, and you dont get the stuff anywhere else. Sure you use chins in combat but you dont get them from combat, which is my point.

You dont really need any of them. Void is better than Arma statistic-wise when safeing, and black dhide body and barrow legs is good for tanking. And guthans is kinda useless nowadays with summoning and the like. However I can see why you would like to buy karils, and for that I dont see a reason why not to buy it. Barrows stuff doesnt usually rise or fall much. But when it does it takes a while to recover original prices. Not to mention the cost difference isnt so huge, you may as well do it since its not going to be more than 1M off the block.

I know, but thats not the point. If they are going to release skills why dont they make them more independant, and stop making combat get every single thing in the game? And another skill that doesnt get crap from combat is hunter.
