The point is that if they had listened to the voice of the playerbase, Farming have been pulled out of the game or left to wither & die. Thankfully, they didn't cave in to the farm mockers & the rest is history. Despite the overwhelming negative opinion of the players, it survived and thrived. And the game is better for it. :arrow: The moral of the story is - the playerbase has the collective IQ of a cantaloupe and is not nearly as qualified to direct the future of the game as it believes it is.

The farming poll results were more correctly a reflection of the maturity level of the playerbase than any shortcomings of the update itself. And that's my point, would you PLEASE READ and save the attitude for the riots & YouTube propaganda shorts.

If you are using a prepaid phone, there will be no bill for it to show up on. I use PayBySMS to drain expiring airtime off my prepaid phone (AT&T). Some prepaid phones allow it and some don't. Also, if you use Paymo you will not have to go through that awkward PIN-keying step. They have the process integrated & streamlined. Paymo SMS is also almost $2 cheaper than Surfpin. :thumbsup:

Farming has turned out to be one of the more successful facets of the game in recent memory. Try again? Funny how in a game filled with magic, cryptobiology & supernaturalism - we expect the economy to be rigidly real-world. :razz: My only issue with the recent events is the alleged leaking of the update by Jagex staff. Favoritism is a big no-no in my book and for Jagex to apparently shrug it off speaks poorly of the company, IMO.

When you hit 83, I recommend buying 40 or so summer pies and getting the agile legs. The pies will boost you to 88 and let you get in some laps. I find I am able to get about 7 laps per pie, and you only need 250 laps to get the legs. Then you can switch back to Dorgesh-Kaan.

I use Free Download Manager to limit downloading speeds. It lets you right click on files & download them through the manager. You can limit the download speed through the app. It hooks into both Firefox & IE, possibly others. Not sure how this would integrate with YouTube. You could Google "bandwidth throttle connection app" and get some different approaches.

And how was the results? I observe a roughly 2/3 chance of getting a bone when using a key. I would rather not divulge the ratio of each particular bone; merching undervalued keys is one of the ways I make money. The last time I checked moleskins, they were clear money losers. I should buy a thousand or so and test the spreads again for shiggles. EDIT - OK, just ran 400 skins and did a P/L spreadsheet. I ended up making about 521gp per nest, which is kinda lousy considering how time intensive it is. If you high alch the 400 white lily seeds (w/ Falador shield 3), it goes up to 1,271gp per nest. 300 nests had seeds, 78 had rings, 22 were empty (75%, 20%, 5% roughly). I also got 1 spirit seed which technically has no value, but realistically is quite rare. Slow, but still, it's a way to make money. I've only tested a few of the types of jars and have almost always been disappointed in the returns.

I am trying to unlock this song and find myself needing to get into the far end of the 1st floor. Not looking to go to kings or lobsters or such. Just want to unlock the tune and get the hell out (I might stay on floor 1 and smack on the little fellers). I'm in the lobby now and can jump to whatever world I need. Is there anyone I can piggyback with to get through to the east end of the 1st floor? TIA

You could always try Amazon Mechanical Turk. There's a lot of junk there, but some of it actually pays decent. I do about 10 hours a week on it for spare money.

I smell a future quest where you go to the Poisoned Wastes & pick up tar balls, sulphur & clean up animals. Just kidding.
