  1. No... the Palestinians have to man up and accept responsibility for what their elected government is doing. Hamas is the clear aggressor here. Funny... Egypt's border with Gaza was closed at the time as well. Yet Hamas has not been firing rockets across that border.
  2. Could it be that it really wouldn't matter where they put their bases if they'd stop stupidly firing rockets into Israel? Outgoing rockets attract incoming military attention.
  3. This is a variant of the argument by numbers fallacy - but I will indulge you. Canada - ref: Public Safety Canada EU - ref: Official Journal of the European Union Japan - ref: Bluebook Australia - ref: Australian National Security UK - ref: Home Office
  4. I edited my post above that partially addresses this. I agree - if the Palestinians want to empower Hamas, they have the right to elect them. But that doesn't give Hamas carte blanche to lob mortars into Israel without repercussions. If you elect a group that pursues jihad against Israel, you should not then be surprised when that jihad comes back home to you. All Hamas is accomplishing by this behavior is showing the world that it is indeed the terrorist organization it has been painted to be. EDIT - More pearls of wisdom from Hamas:
  5. I feel for the Palestinians... but I also remember they elected those Hamas bastards into a majority role in their government. Karma has a funny way of bring it all back home. Does not the Hamas charter state: ? Why then the consternation when the jihad is handed back?
  6. Are you possibly running a software emulation of OpenGL rather than the hardware implementation? Here's a great utility for finding out: OpenGL Extensions Viewer. And a screenshot of my results (to show you what the app does): (Thanks to ImageShack for Free Image Hosting)
  7. I am going to buy a joystick soon after Xmas. I will use it 90-100% of the time for FSX and not for general gaming. I was looking for recommendations and thought I'd troll here. Not going to get foot pedals or anything like that - just really need a good flight stick with more functions than I have now. I have been trying to fly in FSX with an old Gravis 2-button joystick. The simplicity of the stick makes it damn near useless in a modern flight sim. All recommendations considered and TIA.
  8. I don't have a problem with the inactivity times in most cases. But in two particular instances it is FUBAR: (1) fishing (2) woodcutting You should not be logged off for inactivity if you are actually doing something.
  9. You can have two complete sets of lumberjack at any one time. Simply put your first set in your POH costume room and the lumberjacks start dropping the pieces again. Yes, I do have 2 sets of full lumberjack. :P
  10. The card is capable; makes me think it's a driver issue. You might find an OpenGL Extensions Viewer and run it to see what OpenGL levels you are reporting. Might be misinstalled drivers or something more exotic.
  11. What the Nazis really needed to change the course of the war.
  12. Mussorgsky, "Pictures at an Exhibition, No. 10 - The Bogatyr Gates (in the Capital in Kiev)" EDIT - I actually meant Ravel's orchestration.
  13. I've asked the Forum mods to move this thread. Do you know what the make/model of your graphics card is? That would help out a lot.
  14. The round trip may be < 10 secs, but the respawn time for the few gold rocks in the guild cancels those gains out. Horseshoe mine at Brimhaven w/Karamja gloves #3 is hands down the fastest and most productive way to mine gold.
  15. I just put my dungeon in the front yard, due south of my portal. It's not even attached to the rest of the house. That way I can pop in and out and be right where I need to be.

It's all about money. US television uses channels 2-69 presently. With DTV, they can squeeze the channels in tighter. With analog TV, there had to be gaps between the channels to prevent them from interfering from each other. So with DTV, they can squeeze the channels closer together and use less spectrum. After the conversion is done, they will take channels 52-69 and sell the spectrum for other uses. Channel 51 will be the highest TV channel.

There are 7100 stations in the US that the switch doesn't apply to compared to 1800 that it does. If you want to stay analog, you can still pick up 80% of the stations after the switch. Clearly the proposal is different in the US than here then. Over here, the analogue signal will be turned off. Completely. End of. If you don't have digital by the turnover, you're screwed. Low power stations are not forced to go digital (yet), but most of these are stations you have never heard of or watched anyway.
  18. Because demand > supply. Why the demand exists is speculation - but I suspect it's because people use them in summoning to make certain titans.
  19. Super sets are simply the three original super pots from herblore: super strength, super defense & super attack. There is no way to combine them and make tradable sets; you just count each group of 3 pots as one super set.
  20. Ooglog is absolutely the best place to burn. Deserted, with long multiple straight lines near the bank. Plus you don't have to fool with that ghostspeak mess or all the random noobs who will burn in your line just to be obnoxious.

Most of the newer satellite boxes have digital tuners built in them, so if you get your locals through an antenna and have that antenna attached to your satellite box, you don't need a 2nd converter box. Bottom line: if something in your setup has an ATSC tuner, then you are ready for digital. NTSC tuners are analog; ATSC are digital. Be warned - the coupon boxes don't have all the bells and whistles. Manufacturers are only required to put certain features in the voucher boxes.
  22. I will first off state that I think the PM went overboard and overstepped his bounds a bit. But many of the arguments I see here in favor of piggybacking are quite specious. I will first note that your articles are going on 4 years old. I will post links since 2005 of people being arrested for piggybacking. United Kingdom, 2007 - under the Computer Misuse Act and the Communications Act. United Kingdom, 2007 - let off with a warning. Singapore, 2007 - 18 months' probation in lieu of up to three years' imprisonment, a $6 490 fine, or both. Michigan, 2007 - resulted in a $400 fine and 40 hours of community service. The specific Michigan statute states: I see also several people anecdotally mentioning (without realizing it) U.S. Code : Title 18 : Section 2511, specifically mentioning this as their excuse to piggyback: But the point you are missing is that, according to the US DOJ: That means if you don't have explicit permission, it's not your wireless to use. It seems it may actually be a Federal issue in the US after all.
  23. VGA input? I bet your card video card supports higher level connections (S-Cable, DVI perhaps or higher?) Without naming a specific model, I can vouch for Samsung. They make good products and have excellent warranty support. My Samsung TV rocks!
  24. It's a laptop, so he can't change the gpu. But I wasn't suggesting he change the GPU. I realize it's soldered to the mobo. But there is a chance he has an empty MXM slot (ref: http://www.notebookcheck.net/Upgrade-Replace-a-Notebook-Video-Card.3236.0.html.
