  1. only one problem in ur "genious" plan NO ONE BUYS BRONZE BARS they are way overpriced for giving 12.5 xp per bar Excuse me as I laugh all the way to the bank while you power train for the sake of a stat. They sell. The iron ores power miners drop, however, make no money for anyone.
  2. Not everyone power mines mindlessly just to raise the stat. Some of us are in it to make money. Copper ore: 71 Tin ore: 27 Bronze Bar: 170 This link to mining sites will tell you what types of ores are at each mine. You can figure out which are closest to a bank. If you are a member, then you might find Port Khazard to be a good place to mine / bank copper. There is a deposit box there. If you are a freebie, then Varrock is good.
  3. Hmm, Jagex did post (several months ago) about raising the Level 99 cap because RS2's ways of training are "much faster and easier", so possibly we'll get a lift to say 150? Yet some skills like slayer, or Farming take many months, if not years for the majority to get to 99. So I don't see how 150 would become the universal max level. I don't think we'll see an increase in the level cap for quite some time. I do think though that Jagex will make it difficult to smith items at level 99, like you need do have done this part of the quest, but you need to do these 2 to 10 things to make one of the items. Something like dragon shouldn't be able to be mass produced, and it should be expensive materials to make dragon, as well as time consuming to make dragon. Heh, yeah. Imagine the uproar when all the 99 skillcapes disappear from banks with a new max. Not happenin'. :shame:
  4. You have to set her lost cat by the door (it's on some nearby platform).
  5. The sorceress' apprentice enchants the broom with a teleport to the garden. The others (so far) are giving hefty chunks of mage xp. I have been to all but Kardia, and only the Sorceress' Apprentice gives a teleport.
  6. Spirit dagannoths are the best crimson option. The hides are just under 3000 GP now (not 5K as someone stated). That gives you 8.166 GP/XP for spirit dagannoths. The only crimson pouch with a cheaper ratio is the talon beast, and dagannoth hides are much easier to gather in quantities than talon beast charms.
  7. Defend this level-2 reward, if you can: Thanks to ImageShack for Free Image Hosting :wall: Un-fricken-believable.
  8. If you are in woodcutting for the money, then I say buy a dragon axe. I can't imagine anyone who was cutting logs for money would tolerate an adze burning his profits. The adze is better for miners than it is for wc because of its immunity to ran dumb events.
  9. I don't have a problem with the ads - and actually, I quite agree with the message of them. BUT These will just serve as a magnet for every extremist nutjob in London with extra duct tape & explosives.
  10. Yep. Slayer gem + Gold Bar in a furnace with a ring mold. (And 75 Crafting didn't work while being assisted last time I tried.) Dragonstone would be way too expensive for crumbling to dust after only a few charges. Yes, and you get the gem back when the ring crumbles apart, FWIW.
  11. Jagex did a piss-poor job with this - go to the GE and search for "drag dagger" and you will find it.
  12. Now is a good time to be fishing just about anything.
  13. Towards the bottom of the guide, it is stated: However, it is widely known that penguins do climb up the ramps and onto walls - specifically at Mos Le Harmless and perhaps at other places.
  14. I find myself wanting to put on a few agility levels. I am looking for feedback about which course I should choose. I am most interested in the fastest agility xp, not in the side rewards (like toadflax or snaps). Penguin points are helping me raise agility, but I know I can't go all the way on Larry's back. I have been going round on the Pyramid - thinking some other course might give me more xp/hour. EDIT - I will be 76 agility by the time you read this.
  15. As for dealing with the starving vagabonds, I just carry 5 raw fishes with me. That way the ghasts can't ruin them. All you have to do then is light a fire, cook em and feed the people. There's a bank at each end of the run, so you can always grab 5 more. I have been told before to take the kid and the geezer on the Burgh de Rott end and the Woman at arms and the Forester on the Canafis end. I get nail beasts, but not as often as I need (I have hundreds of reds in the bank).
  16. According to tip.it, you can get these when you pickpocket elves. But what exactly are they? How do they differ from regular wizard robes? I searched the item database, but didn't find them.
  17. Unholy book was suggested to make your prayer pots last longer, which it does magnificently. It was also suggested that godswords are more efficient than whips in this rare case was it not? and the 3 extra prayer points would theoretically be better, aye? I have no experience on the issue...just going by what others have said. Perhaps it was suggested - but Dark Beasts are weak to the whip, and the whip is a lot easier on the pocketbook.
  18. Death altar via abyss ---> light temple ---> rotate mirror ---> go kill dark beasts ---> come back to mirror and rotate again to reset for next entry This is the mirror you move. It is the only mirror you move. Now that I have rotated that mirror, I can go kill dark beasts. When I come back, I rotate it again to open the door back to the altar. Thanks to ImageShack for Free Image Hosting
  19. ...Unholy book is never good. Go with a Rune defender. Unholy book was suggested to make your prayer pots last longer, which it does magnificently. On the bottom floor, you rotate the mirror to make the other door white and go through. This is the only mirror you move, and you rotate it back when you exit to make the door to the death altar open again. You go up to the middle floor and then take the south stairs up. You go south and take those stairs back down to the middle floor. Then you can go north to a different stairway heading down. Take it, and you are on the bottom floor at the exit. You have to have the trinket in your inventory to get back into the light temple, elsewise the shadows will always push you back out. It's a lot easier to just look at the map or go there yourself. Just only rotate the 1 mirror and you can't muck it up.
  20. I had forgotten about that bracelet. I guess you could take one and then drop it or alch it... but since you are going to be protecting against dark beasts / shadows in the temple anyways, being skulled didn't bother me too much.
  21. You are so in luck - I got my first dark beast assignment today as well (115!). I am wearing my proselyte top and bottom, slayer helm, fury, skill cape, whip, zammy book, strength boots. I took 3 super strengths, 3 zammy brews, nats/fires for alching, karamja gloves (in case I have to quick bail), holy wrench, 14 prayer pots (4) and no familiar. I will easily finish the assignment. OH - and don't forget your crystal trinket, so you can re-enter the light-temple. :wall: They are rarely maging me, it's well over 95% melee combat. And the mage hits are only 8 or so. If you can access the Death Altar, I find it's easier to come in through the Abyss/Light Temple. You don't have to keep extra inv spots for mourner gear that way. Just remember to exit back through the temple and reset the mirror. ;-)
  22. People don't seem to use super sets anymore, nor can you buy super sets in the GE. You have to buy the individual pieces, and they each have different supply & demand conditions. For instance, I've been using cheap zammy brews instead of super set pots when I am going to train and use prayer. People don't use the entire sets anymore; they pick and choose pots that fit their specific needs. The sharks would have been a good idea a month or two ago. Most of the people who claim they are coming back are probably not familiar with monkfish and tuna potatoes. They will probably flock to sharks out of habit.
  23. If you click the two hidden pictures in my first post you'll see. It's just the usual system idle process and the other one, TPSrv[Caution: Executable File] belongs to my Panda AV. Hm, TPSrv on XP is 50 for the cpu, but 0 on Vista. So maybe i should try re-installing my Panda on XP. @thrash-boy - i'll make a hijack log tomorrow. My bad (I have *.photobucket.com blocked). I am reading a lot of complaints about Panda Software slowing computers down, such as this exchange with Panda customer support.
