Replacing the entire computer isn't necessary. If you can add a video card to your system and disable the onboard graphics, that would be the route to go. Preferably a card that supports OpenGL 2.0.

I believe the thermometer shows what your weight was when you came in the door. If you'll look closely you'll see a message about some part of the floor sinking as you enter the room. If you take nothing out of the room, then your weight matches and you can leave. It's like an egghead burglar alarm to protect his stockpile of logs and coal. If you pick stuff up, you have to put weight on the statue to match what you are taking. Statue weights + thermometer reading = your actual weight when you try to leave If you actually got lighter while inside, then I am guessing you should pick up 7kg of weights to make yourself heavier and then leave.

Unfortunately, probably not. If there's no hardware support, nothing you can tweak will make any difference. For reference, here's a table of GMA graphics cores which shows what OpenGL level each supports. Sorry, I wish I had better news.

Eh I just figured out the weights of the coal and logs and loaded the statue. The weights in the Tip.it database are a good starting point for estimating, but I found coal to be more like 2.29 kg. The mage logs are indeed 2kg each.

I've seen some comments about Movario's stockpile of runes/coal/mage logs. I took the runes out during the quest, as I had a backpack space. But the mage logs have been in the back of my mind. I am thinking of going back and just burning the logs on the spot for fm xp. Or I may try to send logs back with some of the imp boxes I have piled up. But I cannot leave these logs there, unclaimed. :twisted: EDIT - the imp can't send items back from inside Movario's lair; the block on teleporting seems to have affected the imps as well. So you have to go back out to the Elite Khazard guards and send the logs back from there, then go back to the lair and do more logs. Cumbersome. I thought using imps might speed things up, but it seems it's just quicker to fill up and teleport from the Elite Khazard guards area. I tried using a hammer on the broken furnace with a steel & iron bar in my pack; nothing happened.

DirectX diagnostics won't really help, because Runescape depends on OpenGL (so it can run on all platforms, not just Windows). You need to download something called the OpenGL Extensions Viewer. Here's a link, or you can Google for a source you trust. Tell us what version your system has. I know from personal experience that the Microsoft GDI OpenGL driver is a software emulation and will not run HD. I have seen versions as low as 1.5 run Runescape HD partially. My current card supports 2.1 and has no problems.

Level 99 - 13,034,431 xp Level 92 - 6,517,253 xp :lol: Not really, as I've said before 99 smithers are not going to want to assist people as they dont want the XP. 92 smithers on the other hand would like the extra XP. They had just as well retroactively change it from a grandmaster-level quest to something lesser. Yeah, sure, level 92 smiths will slog all the way over to B.F.E. to assist for 2000 xp, when they could get 2000 xp faster by staying at the anvils in Varrock. Any chance of dragon plate being a true grandmasters item just got flushed for the sake of getting more plates in circulation more quickly. Cut in half. I got 12 mil+ for my lump. I'll buy the entire plate for less than that in a few months or sooner.

The "guards" are unfamiliar to me as well. Here's a list of recent monsters. I am working a drop list for Knights, Mages & Rangers - so far no second set of Elite black armor.

I bought a quest cape for the first time yesterday and flaunted it. And that's all I have to say about that.

I swapped between ranging with onyx bolts and melee with the whip. I didn't look for a safe spot and I protected against mage rather than trying to guess what his attack would be. I took a bunyip, but I think he contributed very little.

Take both pieces to Mithril Dragons. Use one of the pieces on a dragon. He will blow fire on your hand and fuse the key pieces together. You lose the key when you open the mithril door.

I have never seen those online. I believe you have to go to a brick-and-mortar Target to get those cards.

Get Karamja Gloves #3. Then mine at the Brimhaven ring, use gloves to go back to Shiloh, bank the ores and get 10 gp for cart, ride back to Brimhaven, lather, rinse, repeat.

The spots at Shilo are the only place I have used HD in any meaningful manner - to see the river from bridge to Fernahei. I hate playing this game in HD mode, though, because I am used to the placement of the icons in the small client. When that box gets larger 800 x 600 pixels, I find the back of my hand hurting - it's just too much mouse throw to suit me. As neat as fullscreen looks, I always find myself going back to the 800 x 600 client.
