  1. "Withdraw all but 1" is only a partial fix to the bank interface problems. They should just stop trying to collapse the bank items and let withdrawing items leave a temporary empty space, as before. I am not too keen on this new quest - combat and wc, been there, done that.
  2. I bought a lot of addy bars and smithed bolts. Some I feathered, some I sold as unf. When addy was slow, I did mith. It depends a lot on how popular GWD is... when lots of people are dumping addy bars on the market, then you can make a go of it. When bars are scarce, it's less attractive. Right now, bars are 2258. Addy bolts are 197, addy bolts (unf) are 201. So that's 250 gp loss per bar at the median prices. If you are patient, you can buy the bars at low and close the loss a good bit. I also did a lot of superheating - I would buy a few thousand addy ores and go superheat them up, then make the bolts and sell. You could always buy the addy ores, get coal from your kingdom and smith bolts at the blast furnace. I did a lot of that too. The one thing I did not do was buy a bunch of gold ore.
  3. It's not the mouse and it's not just you... The bank update is the cause of it. It used to be that when you took something out, an empty place remained. Now, the tab reshuffles as soon as you take the placeholder out. So if you click faster than the app can reshuffle, you get the wrong items taken out of your bank. It is a major PITA. As far as your character wandering off after you withdraw items, I see that a lot too - but it was happening before the tabbed bank update.
  4. If you can run through to the very end, there's a room with a single terrorbird in it.
  5. Sticky at the top of the page: viewtopic.php?f=12&t=516149
  6. My blocked tasks: (1) Scabarites (2) Spiritual Mages (they don't drop charms, and I can go for boots anytime I want) (3) Mithril Dragons (too much work for too little reward) (4) Warped Terrorbirds (no charms)
  7. The fix was invented a LONG time before they had ever pulled anything close to that. I suspect that they didn't yet have the technology to replace an instance of an item in every bank and inventory with cash at that point. This fix happened RIGHT at the dawn of RS2, and things were pretty different then. That explains why they didn't do it back then, but it doesn't explain why they don't do it now, then me and my 35 gp would still... still be together.... It just seems kinda dumb to be keeping a useless remnant from a long time ago like this, especially when you finally have the means to remove it seamlessly. Why are you complaining? You got at least 10 forum posts out of this spam-fest. And I will never get the minutes of my life back that I spent reading it. LET IT GO.
  8. Wyson's nests are subtly different - they can contain allotment (vegetable) & herb seeds and do not have bird's eggs.
  9. Considering from whence they have fallen, these last movements are relatively meaningless (think dead cat bounce). I still have thousands that I'd rather use myself than sell at these dirt-cheap prices.
  10. Is this what you are going on about? It's an old school thing, from the days of sleeping bags and fatigue.
  11. They drop for me every 2nd or 3rd assignment - so the 1/500 number seems pretty accurate. Go for the crimson charms, stay for the whips, you'll be less disappointed.
  12. Ok - I am powering through the easy path some more then. That's what I had been doing - and nail beasts are scarce. I've seen < 20 all day (beasts, not beast events).
  13. I was asking if you get them more on certain routes, not how to skip the other events. :?
  14. I am gathering talon charms for summoning. Which temple trekking route is the best way to get the nail beast event?
  15. Using the new bank is like clicking through molasses - slow, slow, slow, clicking on things 3 and 4 times to get it to take. I actually like the new ring, as it gives me a teleport to the Falador allotment patches. And experience lamps are always welcome. But item begging is a huge step backwards for the community. I am sure those of you who have entitlement issues will love it, though. 3/5 Kafei rating points.
  16. The fishing tutor in Lumby gave me one today whilst I was doing the Diary.
  17. They should just go ahead and set up "no lending" worlds and watch to see how the population splits
  18. Just when we had gotten rid of beggars due to the trading limits, Jagex takes a step backwards and introduces "item begging" to the game. Very, very disappointed that the developers put this in.
  19. It took me 2 days to figure out my motherboard was blocking hardware OpenGL - I was stuck in error_game_caps land because my system was reporting the Microsoft GDI Renderer 1.1 as my OpenGL level. I have to take my hands off to the Jagex developers - it looks nice. Here's the mandatory screen shot - standing in the middle of Ardougne market. It looks like a used car lot with those hanging decorations. ;-) Also - notice the shadows - player shadows are always like it's high noon and the sun is overhead. But shadows from buildings, trees, etc. are always slanted like it's early morning / late afternoon. :ugeek: [hide=large picture][/hide] Notice the lighting effect when I stand too close to the candles while wearing my phat. Hope it doesn't catch fire! :o Thanks to ImageShack for Free Image Hosting Snipersas edit: hide tags placed around large image.

I use dial-up. I pay $7.99 per month, 300 hours per month. Yes, I am a cheap mofo.
  21. It's a sloppy misspelling of ectofungus (look at the T and G on your keyboard). #-o
  22. The price difference is artificial and we need Thrandor now more than ever.
  23. You people take too much at face value. :shame: I suspect it was posted by the disgrunteled RWTer himself. He's pissed because Jagex caught him and he is posting as a "parent" to get back and vent a little.
  24. The one bird room works really well with a bunyip. You can step out into the tortoise room next door and heal. I usually take 3 bunyip pouches and a 4-dose summoning pot to recharge. I have found that if I am wearing the slayer helm, I can fight these without using prayer. I also like to take 20 or so nats and 100 fire runes. I high alch the rune and mith stuff on the spot. Most of the rest of the good loot is stackable. I will be marking them off my list when I get 100 spare points though - I am only in slayer for the charms.
  25. I have a web site that is 99% dynamic pages, generated from PHP scripts hooking into a MySQL database. I am looking for a way to batch validate all my URLs. I have the W3C Validator installed on my test server and can locally validate individual pages. What I need is a script or method to batch validate the entire site from either my sitemap or some other list of URLs or by just navigating the tree even. All the batch validators I am finding depend on static files being present on the server - and that won't work for my dynamic URLs. I was hoping someone here knew of a script or utility that would fit the bill.
