Fly-fishing at Barbarian Village was once a superlative way to get fishing XP. The trick was you needed a fish runner or two. Then, instead of dropping your fish, you just gave them all away. There were always people on F2P who would gladly take your fish. Recent updates have made it impossible to give away large amounts of fish, however. :roll:

Unless things have changed, rune bolts are huge money losers. Buy addy bars at the low price. Sell the bolts (unf) at the high price. Don't play the middle price game. And be patient. You may not instantly buy your bars, nor sell your bolts. But if you are patient, you will buy & sell at close to your chosen price. People get panicky when they can't place a GE order and have it take effect instantly. I placed my buy and sell orders and waited days sometimes for the transactions to go through. I have found that weekends are great times to sell and weekdays are great times to buy, FWIW.

I need to know how often I can prune willow branches? I am at that summoning level for ents. I am thinking about planting a willow in Falador. Then I can mine/superheat in between waiting for a new branch to grow.

I confirm that he assigns dagannoths - he gives me healthy 150+ assignments.

I got this downloaded and installed. WTF do they call this the "AwesomeBar"? WoesomeBar is a better moniker. I spent way too much time having to find add-ons and tweaks to turn that crap off. :twisted: On the good side, a few of the add-ons I used in Fox2 are built-in now. Life should be simpler.

I'm still as apathetic as I have been. :thumbdown: I may try the full-blown experience out of curiosity - but day-in and day-out I plan to play windowed 800x600 in the upper left corner with DVICO Fusion TV or iTunes in the upper right corner and my trusty spreadsheet in the lower right. :D

You don't get anything from the lockers, AFAIK. You loot the file cabinets to get items & thieving xp. The lockers are just eye candy. :mrgreen:

Three words: Friday the Thirteenth

The biggest drawback about this quest is that you have to have free bank space to do it - and I am running on the edge. I spent more time emptying my bank of things (unoffered bones, uncrafted hides, etc al) than I did on the quest itself. Oh - and the smithing level req. is so bogus - bronze wire - get real.

What you call a riot, many of us call a tantrum. Jagex is a business. Runescape is a product. If you don't like the product, stop buying it and buy another.

Fire elementals (the ones in the smoke dungeon) drop crimson charms. Baby black dragons drop crimson & green. EDIT - Oh - you are looking for a detailed drop log. I will have to get back to you tomorrow on that.

I know personally that aberrant spectres drop them all, at different frequencies.

Remember, warped tortoises also drop the shells - and in multiples (though not noted).

Well, I don't have to wait for the poll... I imagine a lot of people will like it. I see the word "Pokemon" being thrown about a lot on RSOF, and it seems to be superficially accurate. I suppose there is still a lot of inertia in the Pokemon craze. Personally, I am not seeing how this new skill will fit into my style of play. I have studied the scroll list and I am not seeing a lot there that I would use. Consequently, I am training this to 30 (to get ranked) and then I will leave it to Juna. This is going to end up like Farming - some people will love it and others will hate it. IMO, Runescape is experiencing some serious "feature bloat" right now. A good real-world analogy is Microsoft Excel. Versions 1 & 2 were bug-ridden and had problems, but attracted just enough people to remain viable. Version 3 was the golden version where it suddenly became workable and pleasant to use. The later versions just kept cramming in more and more features in order to try to please everyone - a phenomenon called feature bloat. IMO, Runescape is in the "feature bloat" phase of its life cycle, and Summoning is a prime example of said bloat.

If you study the Knowledge Base Pouch article, it seems that the pouches that use the fewest shards all require gold charms. This is my strategy to raise summoning on the cheap - gold charm pouches all the way. If I can just find something that drops multiple gold charms reliably... #-o

Even if you never train it, there is one tremendous pro: Cartloads of bank space =D>

I am training Hunter and banking imps-in-a-box. Come on... if you wanted to summon a Demon, wouldn't you start with a "baby demon?" Also trying to get a raven's egg, but that's kind of on the back burner.

This is why I avoid graphics cards with built-in fans, FWIW. How much memory are you looking for? The 128s are dirt cheap lately.

Unless Jagex makes a change, you can't get bird's eggs from Wydin. You get occasional tree seeds from Wydin, some rings and a lot of allotment seeds. The rings are not all that great a value, the allotment seeds are nearly worthless and you might get a tree seed of sufficient level to be valuable. But you might also get apple seeds and acorns. The only thing you can count on from Wydin is a nest for herblore. At 5K per skin, it's my opinion that mole skins / claws are way overpriced.

Sell instantly (or almost) on GE? My last batch took over 2 weeks to sell. And I have several thousand there now that have been available for 4+ days... Where are all these knife buyers I keep reading about?
