  1. Let there be no doubt:
  2. Basically, $17,461.34. I had to test his Wellsfargo :? You were OK until this point. But if you logged on to any of his accounts, you may have crossed a line in the eyes of the law. This will, of course, will be traced back to your IP if anything goes wrong with his money. You need to return it, without disclosing that you signed on, of course. He might even be grateful enough to give you a reward.
  3. I use TotalUSA, and they claim to do billing by mail if you request it (on the Terms & Conditions of Service page).
  4. As to the rune axe situation, you will probably always be able to get 15-20K in Seers for a rune axe - especially if it is more convenient than going to the GE, throwing down cash and coming back. I always accept anything people offer between 15-20K anyways. As to some of the other prices: I am beginning to wonder if there is a floor price which items will not go below - an absolute rock-bottom price. I have noticed willow logs are not moving below 22gp, yet none of mine have sold yet at this price, and they have been listed all week.
  5. I sold 10K tomatoes today @ 12 each, so I can't complain. I had been trying to move those forever. Every time I tried to sell them on RSOF, the messages scrolled off after a few hours. I fear the iron platebodies are going to be a long wait, however, @ 420 each.
  6. Just because the sales are anonymous to you, that doesn't mean that they are anonymous to Jagex. :-$
  7. I have a new favorite f2p yew spot... :D OMG so easy to cut yews north of Varrock Castle now that the wall has an opening now. And it was nice that they put the spirit tree inside the wall as well.
  8. Full-blown price controls... I never thought I would live to see it. :-k I'm loading it up with some stuff and going to bed. Should make price guides mostly obsolete.

  10. Are you running Windows XP? If you were, you could always go back to a Restore Point from yesterday. Start ---> Help & Support --> Performance & Maintenance --> Using System Restore to undo changes --> Run the System Restore Wizard
  11. Regarding (1): The banners aren't tradable, so whatever you choose you would have to make yourself on someone else's easel. Certain of the banners have their own requirements. The God banners require 70 prayer. Some require certain quests to be completed (the Dorgeshun banner, Dragon banner, Fairy banner, etc.). The Moneybags banner requires 500K. Aside from any specific requirements certain banners have, you should be able to make/wield one.
  12. Player moderators can, as they know what they did to become player moderators. I still don't get the point in why you guys don't like "wannabe moderators". What's wrong with wanting to make the game a better place for all? In other games i've played, this has been encouraged by others, not discouraged. (I was a moderator for a game called KnightFight) I hate to go all biblical, but wannabee mods remind me of the parable of the Pharisee and the publican. My last day of members, I spent fishing at Catherby. And there was a wannabee there making great boasts about how he was reporting this person and that person for telling "yo mama" jokes that might possibly have offended someone. And how he was certain to be a mod soon at the rate he was going. I chewed him out for clogging up the reporting system with all his reports and taking Jagex' time away from the real problems in Runescape. I further asked him why he was making such a public demonstration of all his "reporting" when he could have quietly submitted his reports and accomplished the same thing. So I fired off a few "yo mama"s of my own. His response was to urge every one there to report me. Of course, nothing came of his reports on me. :P But it just goes to show you just how messed up the entire player mod system is. The lengths some people will go to in order to get a crown by their name...
  13. +1 But I will add my thoughts just the same. By July 1945, it was clear Japan was being beaten. The UK, US and ROC offered terms of surrender via the Potsdam Declaration and were rejected by Japan. Japan had a chance to end the war and go home. They chose to fight on. As for the choice of targets: Hiroshima was the headquarters for Japan's 2nd General Army. The lay of the land also meant the effects of the blast would be more focused. Also, it had been relatively unscathed during the war, which would make it easier to see what damage the atomic bomb caused. Nagasaki was an industrial center that produced armaments and weapons, as well as being a naval base. But the intended target for the 2nd bomb was Kokura Arsenal. They diverted to Nagasaki after cloudy weather prevented a run at Kokura. So you see, they were indeed military targets. Some of the people in charge wanted Kyoto as a target, but it seems the US Secretary of War had been there before and had fond memories of the city.
  14. I probably would not ever meet a single person from online. That's just crazy risky and the Internets are full of strange fishes. But if I was in a clan of local players and they all wanted to go to some safe public place like Pizza Hut for a gathering or such, yeah I would think that is safe.
  15. Split Browser is what I use for Firefox.
  16. You might also go into your BIOS settings and disable the floppy there. That way, Windows should never even see it in the first place.
  17. It may not be personal at all, though. Some online vendors will not take credit cards from certain countries. Notable locations where CC fraud is prevalent: * Romania * Indonesia * Singapore * Ghana (a rising star of fraud!) * Ukraine * Uganda * Nigeria * Hungary * Belarus * Estonia * Latvia * Lithuania * Slovak Republic * Russia * Yugoslavia * Macedonia * Phillipines * Thailand * Malaysia It may be a blanket ban that is biting you.
  18. Go to the Body Shop and buy a big honking basket of scented soaps and oils and such. Or some fancy, high-end coffee is always appreciated.
  19. I cut a lot of oaks at Catherby bank (between the bank and the farming plots, near the crate).
  20. If I am Jagex: (1) I log every transaction. (2) Every day I check the transactions against current reasonable market prices. For example, I make note of all the chisels that sold for over 100 gp each. This can be a batch routine run on every day's transactions. (3) Bannage of all accounts concerned. I'd wager that is one of the major motivations for the GE - to make it easier for Jagex to trace the flow of good and gp through the game and hold people accountable.
  21. There's the item database here that has all the store prices. You could easily hook that into any high alch calculator (if it's not already).
  22. I am 93 smith and I still fail at making bowls. It's less than 50%, but it's significant. They are a great way to high alch gold bars, if you have the patience, since each bowl takes 2 bars.
  23. ABC News tonight mentioned a failed drug test by "Barry B" from 2003. How many Barry B's in sports do you know of? There is no doubt now that he was on performance enhancing drugs. The ABC News story is a little more detailed than ESPN's. These charges today are about lying to a Federal grand jury about taking them. He always claimed he took the cream and the clear while thinking they were something else (flaxseed oil and arthritic balm).
  24. Full story at ESPN. Told you all so, BTW, months ago.
