  1. Runescape itself doesn't rank people higher than level 99. However, you continue to accumulate XP. Using the formula provided, it's easy to extrapolate levels: 100 14,391,160 101 15,889,109 102 17,542,976 103 19,368,992 104 21,385,073 105 23,611,006 106 26,068,632 107 28,782,069 108 31,777,943 109 35,085,654 110 38,737,661 111 42,769,801 112 47,221,641 113 52,136,869 114 57,563,718 115 63,555,443 116 70,170,840 117 77,474,828 118 85,539,082 119 94,442,737 120 104,273,167 121 115,126,838
  2. If you want to test that formula, all the correct numbers are on the XP Table. Or, you could try to come up with your own formula that fits the answers. ;-)
  3. I use a debit card when I am members. They usually try to take the next $5 when you are down to 3 or 4 days left of membership.
  4. If the villagers have sticks in their hands, you shuold be able to ask for trading sticks. Another easy way to get sticks is by just killing jogres.
  5. Jagex said in BTS that this was the penultimate cave goblin quest, not the final one.
  6. It means your wireless provider doesn't let you do 1-900 calls. This page on the Jagex site shows which providers you can use for PayBySMS. Some are for the UK; some for USA. Elsewhere, you are SOL. If you are trying to use PayByPhone, they say it will work on some mobile phone providers but you have to be able to dial premium services to use it (1-900). Here is the page for PayByPhone.
  7. If you have the Karamja Gloves #3, you can use a different method. Start at Shilo bank, get your pouches and tiara and then: (1) fill up with pure ess (2) run to the altar around the periphery of Shilo Village (3) craft and telly to the underground mine (4) run to the bank (5) back to (1) I pot up with super energies after every run to stay at running speed. I have done no formal timings, but this is a competitive way to craft nats.
  8. Today, I received the following from my Kingdom: I notice it's not on your Kingdom Management guide and I thought you might want to know. When I have solved the clue, I will post the reward and see what level it is. The gloves are also not mentioned on your page, thought they were worth a mention. This was a Mining 100% and Raw Fishing 50% split, 3 days accumulation. EDIT - The reward: 9 cooked salmon, a staff of air and 5 nats.
  9. An enquiring mind wants facts... ask and ye shall receive. Bad Astronomy Web Site There's a good movie along this line, though... When Worlds Collide (1951) I read they are refilming this for 2008 release. The original features a mechanical computer (a la Babbage). But I digress.
  10. You are right as far as you go, but XP is not the only factor to consider. The player taking assistance has no cap on how many patsies he can hit up each day for assistance. There are no controls on the receiving end of assistance. This is one of the fundamental flaws with the system.
  11. It has its share of flaws, and even the Yellow mods are starting to admit this and say they will pass the reports along to developers. Stereotype the Rants board all you want, but there are diamonds there amongst the chaff.
  12. They haven't re-entered over the mainland in a long time... not since the 2003 accident. Tomorrow is your chance to hear the double sonic booms. Touchdown is for 13:02 EST, 12:02 CST. So about a half hour before that, you might be able to see the contrail if your weather is clear. Many people across the southeast will hear the booms and think it's Al Queda or something. But you, the informed reader, will know better. :P Should be good to get you out of the classroom for a while tomorrow if you play your cards right. Obligatory link is at ABC News.
  13. Jagex is saying now that charging for your assistance is a form of trust-trading. Be warned. I suggested on the RSOF that Jagex could have just created NPCs to provide the "free services" or empowered the various Skils Tutors to do it. Would have ruffled a lot fewer feathers.
  14. Several people are spamming the Assist topic; pasting in the same post 9 and 10 times on some I saw. A lot of the 3100+ posts are duplicates of each other. But hey, people want to max out the rant...
  15. Or maybe they're planning on filling them with new things? Could be part of this HUUUGE update they talked about in the BTS. Nah - they just needed an excuse for the scroll bars. :wall:
  16. Could you post a picture please? It sucks if you need to scroll for plates and knifes.
  17. Thr foul part of this update is the hidden change to the smithing window - complete with SCROLL BARS. :wall: It's like they don't even do usability testing...
  18. I am trying to think of examples where I could turn this on... (1) Smithing at Varrock Anvils (someone is always wanting to make a rune warhammer for clues) (2) Al Kharid Forge (smith my ores for me) And some of the other methods you guys have mentioned. But then I have to think of reasons why I would want to. I make good money selling rune axes and warhammers... why would I assist other people and take money out of my own pocket? Same goes for fury crafting. I trade cut gems for uncuts all the time... "free gem cutting" hasn't been a scam in forever. That's just the shortest way to say "I will trade my cut gems for your uncut gems." I guess the 30k xp in smithing per day might make loitering by the anvil worth it. And it would be nice to find a way to get that in runecrafting (stand by the ZMI altar maybe?). Loitering by the Camelot telespot? A possibility. I shall have to think about this a bit... :-k
  19. You are doing it right. You don't get any extra bars, you just smith two sets of ores at one time. Example: If you take 28 iron ores into the Edge smithy, and your armor smiths two ores at a time, the extra bar doesn't fall to the floor. You just saved a second or two of time (and a charge on your ring of forging).
  20. You can indulge yourself here.
  21. I use bone bolts at metals (88 ranged) and they are a bit slower than metal bolts, but I do get a lot of hits in the mid-teens. Depending on your ranged level, it's worth a trial run.

Yes they are. They just choose to run the ads and then disavow them. But when you swim with the sharks, your backside often gets bitten. Karma never sleeps. :P
  23. I didn't mean to suggest that the GE was solely for the purpose of removing rares. I did mean to suggest that it would make it easy for Jagex to buy rares from people who wanted to sell, perhaps even surreptitiously and without spooking the market.
  24. Consider this scenario: The Grand Exchange is introduced, it works as intended and the players love it. They start offering up all sorts of items to try to find a wider market. Let's suppose people are confident enough to start putting their rares up - phats, santas, masks... the whole bit. What's to stop Jagex from buying them? Player gets his asking price for his white phat. Jagex gets another rare out of the game. Both parties are happy. Sure, it drops a lot of gold into the marketplace. But if Jagex ever wanted to remove a lot of rares from people who wanted to part with them and be well compensated... it's would be an excellent opportunity. They could even make items untradable between players and only negotiable through the Grand Exchange. Not that I believe it's going to go down that way... I'm just sayin' it could.
  25. Amen, brother. If they make the Exchange available to F2P and P2P, it will end a lot of the scamming and advantage-taking that goes on. I was talking to someone last night who mined a bunch of ores and "advanced" them to his "buyer" - to be paid after the ores were smithed and sold. Of course, he got scammed for the ores. I am going to temper my enthusiasm a bit - after all, Jagex disappointed me with the shop update despite the glowing anticipation I had. Anything that reduces forum churn and login-server thrashing should benefit everyone though. If there is some mechanism in the Exchange that shows suggested prices for items, it could put price guides out of business. :-k
