Now I am not a lawyer, and I didn't stay at a Holiday Inn last night. But... Your more immediate problem is getting bonded out of jail once the charges are actually filed... unless you don't have a problem waiting in jail between your actual arrest and the trial date. If you drove the car and you knew what your buddies planned to do, then you are guilty in the eyes of the law. Matters not if you ever lifted a finger at the crime scene. You may get the charges lessened or dropped if all the goods are replaced... but you said the PCs are already trashed so that's out. I have no good news for you. My advice is to drop some cash on a good lawyer. And they don't work cheap.
  3. A search of the RSOF shows 18 posts this morning of people buying or selling cactus spines.
  4. They are dang cheap. They are even cheaper if you range something from a safe spot instead of behind a fence. The fence at greaters will keep the accumulator from picking up the bolts.
  5. You could still type something like this in google: site:www.tip.it "Ow! I burnt my tongue." That would search the entire website for a match. And I've already tried it, no results Heh. The topic from a few days ago is coming up though. The only item I can find that might do what the original poster wants is poison karambwan, but I don't think that's the specific message you get when you consume it.
  6. If the advanced search on the item database allowed you to search the examine text, we'd have an answer... :-w
  7. I have found that I lose approx. 7.5 bone bolts per iron dragon while wearing my accumulator (30gp per iron is insanely cheap). EDIT - I lose about 3.5 bone bolts per blue.
  8. You are not supposed to pay for anyone who is not a member of your immediate family. The reason Jagex doesn't allow it is that it makes credit card fraud too easy. Example: A Runescape membership is purchased with the credit card of your friend/unknowing parent/other third party. You play for 30 to 45 days. Your friend/unknowing parent/other third party gets the credit card bill, sees the charge to Jagex and charges back the transaction, claiming they did not authorize it. Jagex loses $5 to $7.50. Jagex bans your account and bans you until you pay them the money you owe. ===== Or consider this: Your friend turns out to be a true friend and pays for your account until March. You then get your own credit card and want to take over payment. So you change the subscription information to your name, billing address and credit card number. Jagex now bans you for account trading, since it looks to them as you are taking the account from someone else. They likely also ban your friend, who is still paying for his own account with the old credit card number (and yes, they can check their records for payment details). There are other ways you can get burned on this, though I hope these two scenarios will be enough to convince you. What you are wanting to do is not legal, whether or not your friend has good intentions. And that's why it's against Jagex' rules.

Eh, I had heard of Second Life - I remember the buzz when Suzanne Vega played there. I prefer something with definite goals and targets - something finite - something with a beginning and an end. Second Life seems too open-ended.
  10. I will make the simple suggestion and suggest you start trying different servers. Keep a paper and pen on your desk and keep track of the servers where you experience lagging and jumping. Then never go back to them. There are domestic US servers that I absolutely cannot play on because of the lag/jumping, and there are overseas servers that are as smooth as glass. I suspect you will find the same. One other thing I might look at is what other people suggested, that there is a background process running that is sapping your bandwidth (spyware, automated software updates, etc).
  11. My reasons why outside forums are better than the official runescape boards: ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâã Open to all ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâã Topics don't scroll off ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâã Over-moderation on RSOF And I will add: ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâã You don't log off after 15 minutes of inactivity
  12. Obli's store in Shilo will also buy at the high alch price if you are wearing Karamja Gloves #3. But these stores only pay that price for the first item. The price slowly drops as the stock increases. So, you either stand there and sell one item at a time or you resort to high alching to get the best price. This is one of the failures of the recent shop reworking, IMO. People once again have to stand in banks alching to get the best price, when they could have just sold all their items to the store and actually gone out and killed dragons, done quests, played the game, etc. -1 to Jagex for lousing this up.
  13. Market prices are going to be hard to do... who has time to keep up with the prices of all the items? That would be a full-time, non-paying job. This is something Jagex could and should provide - they have access to all the trade data. They could easily provide an average of the last 500 trades of any given item. I always just look at the RSOF to see what items are selling for. I can't see any use in a City Database. The NPC Database might come in handy someday, but there is no pressing need. I'd like to see the drops for monsters ranked by probability, but that would be a mammoth undertaking and require a lot of community help.
  14. I have been field testing bone bolts this morning. They're OK... but they aren't going to displace high-end bolts. I was hitting 17s occasionally. But I also hit a lot of sub-10s and zeroes. I was at blackies with someone using addy bolts, and he was finishing his dragons a good bit faster than I was finishing mine. I don't see a problem with the bolts as they are.
  15. Wore the hood for 3 minutes, then consigned it to the toy box in my POH. That dog scared the bejeezus out of me when he hit me for 94.
  16. See that line where it says "To see what data this error report contains, click here" ? A screencap of that report would be more helpful in addressing your problem.
  17. I play some months as P2P and some as F2P. Let me state unequivocally: There is no real difference between the player bases. Yes, there are immature little malcontents on F2P. Let me tell you bluntly, there are just as many on P2P. The only begging messages I ever get are when I am on P2P servers - from P2P players. The only real difference is a F2P player will act out by typing his little q/p graphic and the P2P player will act out by saying the most vulgar things on earth, but substitute 3s for Es and 4s for As. Besides that, there's not a dime's difference between the two groups.
  18. Exactly. I tried one day last week and couldn't myself. I tried dropping my roarer and asking the forester for another, and he wouldn't replace it. I tried going back to Yanni, but all he wants to sell me is the beads of the dead. I tried going back to Radimus Earkle, but he didn't offer me the map or the notes. The foresters want a map, and you have to have the Radimus Notes to make a map. I think you are just S.O.L. until the boys at Planet Jagex put in some way to replace your roarer without the Notes.
  19. If you don't have a bull roarer, you can't summon Guojo to bless your golden bowls. I don't believe you can get it back after the quest without the Radimus Notes. The foresters ask to see something interesting before they will give you a roarer.
  20. WHY would You alch feather??!! it would be much faster and probably cheaper as well to Fally Teloport Really, why alch worthless items? If you have nats to burn, just superheat iron ores in the bank for fine XP and sell the bars when you are done.
  21. You can set an inactivity timeout in Windows. I believe most dial-up providers will disconnect you after a certain amount of time anyways (unless you have a true unlimited dial-up account).
  22. It changed the way I approach the game bigtime. I used to be about the drops; now I am about the skills. But I try to wear my Legends Cape whenever possible. :)
  23. Jagex has changed the cart puller's compensation. I find that now, if I am wearing my Karamja Gloves, I can quick pay with 10 coins. This is easy to withdraw from the bank (as you are depositing your ores), and still lets you mine 28 gold ores with each trip. Thanks, Jagex!
  24. Nothing in this week's updates to take me away from my wc drive.
