I use Free Download Manager and can heartily recommend it. You can set the speed you want to give it or let it have all your bandwidth. I will often set some long download to a 2500 B/s limit and then go surf the web or play RS while it runs. =D> That is quite a slow connection, even by dial-up standards. Is it that you don't have a 56K modem or that your ISP doesn't have one? It's very unusual in this day and age for an ISP to not offer 56K dialup.

Hope its OK if I hijack the thread. I am wanting to put a case fan in my tower. I bought a Thermaltake 90x90x25 with a 3-pin connector. Turns out, the wire is too short to reach my motherboard jack. It's about 6" long and comes up a few inches short of reaching. Can anyone recommend a case fan with a longer wire? Is splicing the wire a safe option?

Body runes are not bad from Edgeville, but they don't sell well. The tiaras are great if you can get talismen - but since summoning uses them as 2nds, they are not so plentiful anymore. If you can get some Fist of Guthix gloves, the outlook is better for you.

Har. We have them too, just that no one wants to sit and sell thousands of items to a shop. They'd rather dump them in bulk for their GE value onto someone else who is buying a big-ticket item. You want my polka-dotted phat? You gotta buy my 10,000 left-handed warhammers too. And you'll pay for them at GE price, not that sliding scale the general stores use. Why would I sell junk to a general store and take less for each piece I sell when I can sell the junk for an inflated value to someone else? And do it in bulk - which the wonderful general stores won't do. The ultimate Happy Meal bundle. Except no one is happy. It all boils down to whose price values you want to believe - Jagex or the Merchants. Personally, I think World 2 is dead and gone and people really just need to stop living in the past. The longer you fight it, the bigger the bubble gets and the harder the crash when the correction comes.

An easy way to do the archery tickets part is to go buy 950 or so tickets in the GE and then go earn the last 50 in the guild. :twisted:

Jagex needs to provide a method to get the full value out of the junk items. This was briefly in place when the Varrock Diaries came out - you could sell bulk items to the Bandit Camp shop and get full high alch value for every item - not just the first one. I personally dumped loads of stuff before they reversed course and pulled this out. Now, I am not in favor of junk trading at all. I just think we need better ways to monetize junk. If there were ways for people to conveniently monetize their junk, then people wouldn't be shoveling it off onto other people via junk trades. The RS economy is full of product and there is really no proper escape valve to liquidate that product. It keeps building up, clogging the pipes and passing from person to person in the form of junk. It wouldn't fix the stuck GE, but it would put and end to the musical chairs game known as junk trading.

If he's getting beep codes, the drivers are irrelevant. Beeps are generated by the BIOS before the OS even boots. The codes are different depending on the BIOS manufacturer. Likely the card is either bad out of the box or inserted in the wrong type of slot. Here's a page showing beep codes for several different BIOS manufacturers.

You have to admit, though, it does have a cool look to it - like the old Roman shields that they used in testudo formations. I say keep it just for sentimental reasons.

I don't agree at all about that - Hamas' beef with Israel is ideological and always has been. They don't acknowledge the right of Israel to exist as a sovereign nation. Until they do, nothing will change. They could discover oil in Gaza, make every Palestinian as rich as the Saudis and the only change would be that Hamas would buy larger armaments.

There can be no two-state solution as long as one of the states advocates the obliteration of the other. No matter how many different ways you try to brush these words off as insignificant or dated, they are Hamas' own words and until they address this any proposals from Hamas are not going to be taken seriously.

Again: When they agree to stop shooting rockets at us. Why should civilians have to die for the actions of a terrorist group? ... Because that's the way terrorists want it. Whether it is Israeli civilians dying or Palestinians dying makes no difference to Hamas. They have taken it upon themselves to make "the cause" more important than any civilian life. I hope Israel wipes Hamas out. Maybe then the next generation of Palestinians will be able to look back at what didn't work for them and choose a better path in the future. If it's just insignificant trash talk from 20 years ago, then why is Hamas so intransigent about removing it? It's obviously significant to Hamas, don't you think?

Must be a godawful long pipeline. They could always turn off the triggers now and then take the actual code and stuff out when it came out of the pipeline... Really, should it take 10 months to turn off getting Leo when you bury a bone? I disagree with the author in that Jagex shouldn't be improving randoms - they should be removing them.

I usually do my daily star as the last RS chore before I sleep. When I log on the next day, I will see the message in my scroll box after I've been on about 10-15 minutes. The timer only ticks off during your gaming session. If double ores are what you are after, work on the Varrock diary tasks and get Varrock Plate. It never expires.

Don't blame it on SP3; I have it and my nVidia will rotate as well. Did you notice you guys are running different drivers? The intel logos are different in your screenies.

Yep - Realtek is onboard audio. If you remove those drivers, you will need to add in a separate sound card for audio. Some of the earlier Realtek drivers are crap fests. You might try finding an updated driver and giving it a try before you abandon it.
