  1. Buy 4 to 5 waterskins from Shantay. I suggest you go to Nardah and do the quest Spirits of Elid so that you can refill your waterskins at the Nardah fountain. Just bring a bucket, fill it with water then use the bucket of water to fill up your empty waterskins. This beats the random success rate of filling your waterskins from Kharidian cacti.
  2. Don't bother blocking or that non-sense. Attack Damis and then walk back into the hallway that leads into his multi-combat chamber. He'll follow you until you reach a T-junction and single-combat area. The skeletons and wild dogs will not follow you. Then, just start firing your Air (or was it Earth?) spell at him until his first form dies. His first form is a push-over but before he dies the first time, drink a prayer pot to refill your prayer points. He'll resurrect in his second form and will promptly start attacking you. Again, fire your spell at him, periodically drinking a dose of prayer pot. Keep your prayer as high as possible such that each dose is enough to fill your prayer to almost full. I've managed to kill Damis with seven 4-dose prayer pots so 10 is more than enough. Also, bring some food in case you didn't turn on your Protect Melee on time.
  3. If you haven't done so, finish The Family Crest and use the Chaos Gauntlets to boost the effectiveness of your Bolt spells.
  4. How about the Greater Demons in the Entrana dungeon? Just sneak in range gear and stand in the Dramen Tree room while you attack them. I've never tried this out but it doesn't hurt to try.
  5. In the quest Nature Spirit, you make a Blessed Silver Sickle. To make a unblessed Silver Sickle: 1. Get a silver ore and smelt it into a silver bar. 2. Buy a sickle mould from the Al Kharid crafting store. 3. Use the silver bar on a furnace. 4. Select the Sickle option and make an unblessed sickle mould. This is one of the ways that you can sneak a weapon onto Entrana when you're doing the quest Lost City.
  6. No more bots, macroers, goldfarmers, beggars, scammers... but that's such a pipe dream. -.-
  7. Cooking apples --> Culinaromancer's chest Oranges --> Charter ships (Catherby) Pineapples --> Charter ships (Catherby) Bananas --> Karamja banana plantation
  8. At least some of these silly names are in a way, creative. Then there are the people who can't think of a creative name and decides to make a [self-censor: name of famous player] clone. :wall:
  9. Edit your picture a little and you'll have a cool signature.
  10. Agility Pyramid and Pyramid Plunder? They're right next to each other and if you've completed Contact, you have access to the Sophanem bank. Our you can hoof it to Nardah and use the bank there. Remember to bring waterskins while on the Agility Pyramid.
  11. You don't. If you have skills that show up on the Official Site's Hiscore tables, then your dynamic signature will fill itself in automatically.
  12. Hm, I suppose you can try snaring again. Attack and lure Damis into the hallway that leads into his chamber. He'll follow you and you'll be in a single-combat area so that you won't be attacked by skeletons and wild dogs. Then you can try snaring and blasting him your most powerful Air spell (or was it Earth spell?)
  13. To enter Glarial's Tomb, you cannot take: - armor of any kind: metal, leather, dragon hide, wizard robes, mystic etc - weapons: staves, metal weapons, shields, defenders, bows, arrows, knives etc You can take: - all potions - runes (not confirmed, but you can try it) - 1-click teleports: Ectophial, Enchanted Lyre - jewellery: Glory, Ring of Dueling, Ring of Recoil, Games Necklace etc. To keep it simple, take: - 1 Super Attack and 1 Super Strength OR 2 Combat potions - 5 Prayer potions: this is more than what you really need - food: 10 or so lobsters is more than enough Remember to keep the Pebble and if you can, get another Glarial's Necklace by dropping/getting/picking up another one.
  14. Clearly, some people are obsessed with money instead of just playing and enjoying the game. You can try killing cows and selling their cowhides. I don't merchant so I can't say what's a quick way of getting 10K in under an hour with free-off-Tutorial-Island stats. The most basic way of making quick money for a low-level players is to gather materials that high-level players would want/use to train their skills. If you're members, you may want to try pickpocketing the lvl-2 Men and Women around Lumbridge. Just pickpocket them till you're near death, bank your money, pickpocket one more so that you'd die and respawn with full health and repeat until you have 10K. It's not the fastest way to get 10K in one hour but you'll get there eventually.
  15. It all boils down to the stats that are associated with the equipment. Better stats mean better gear, not the pretty looks. Back in the good ol' days, dungeon crawlers was a party of 4 to 6 characters with a portrait and a stats page with text. The only way a player was able to distinguish the unique qualities of the weapon -- such as a short sword -- was the stats or a the item with a modifier prefix or suffix. So you'd have Holy Short Sword of the Hero or Unholy Short Sword of the Scourge or some such non-sense name that distinguish one item from another. A set of trimmed wizard robes is no better than a regular set of wizard robes, it just looks different. Same idea with adding speed stripes to your car; does it really go faster after you add the speed stripes without modifying what's under the hood? Nope, it doesn't. :-k
  16. In that case, race your friend on Quests. It's better to have an Achievement Cape than no cape at all.
  17. Darts require the extra step of flighting them while knives are good to go once made. Ava's Attractor works for both. For you off-hand item, use whatever suits the situation: anti-dragon shield, a defender, a God Book, a sq. shield, a kiteshield, etc.
  18. If you buy from the macroer, you'll only become part of the problem. In a way, you're throwing fuel on the fire when rule-abiding players and Jagex are trying to purge as many rule-breakers as possible. In the end, it's up to you.
  19. Sounds like you've found a system that works well for you. If you think about it, that's all that really matters; a system that works. Good job!
  20. Post what quests you still need to do and I can give you advice, since I'm a proud owner of a Quest Cape.
  21. Try it out and find out. The gem/pearl tips, when enchanted with the proper Enchant Bolt spell gives an special attack effect to the bolts. If you have a surplus of runes, you may want to take some time and enchant your bolts.
  22. The Ice Troll King attacks using melee and range attacks. Use Protect from Range while fighting the Ice Troll King instead of Protect from Melee. If you use Protect from Melee, you'll be tossed across the room and then the Ice Troll King throws rocks at you. I recommend bringing a Super Set with you since your melee levels are a little on the low side. You'll need to heal while you're in melee range of the Ice Troll King, so bring something better than Lobsters. My usual quest food are Tuna Potatoes, but Sharks or even Monkfish will do. If you're afraid of losing your stuff, bring a Ring of Life. You may want to bring or make an Enchanted Lyre to get yourself out if you're not doing too well during the fight. You can make an Enchanted Lyre as follows: - chop a branch from the Singing Tree - use a knife on the Singing Tree branch to make an unstrung lyre - use 1K to pay the troll that guards the Golden Apple Tree to get golden fleece. - spin the golden fleece into golden wool - use the golden wool on the unstrung lyre to make a Lyre - enchant the Lyre by given Fossigrimen a raw shark OR raw bass while wearing an activated Ring of Charos (refer to Garden of Tranquility quest). The Enchanted Lyre, when played brings you to the gates of Relleka. From there, just catch a longboat back to Neitiznot, restock on your supplies or even switch out stuff that wasn't doing so well and try fighting the Ice Troll King again.
  23. Unfortunately absolutely all Skill Capes are member items, even non-member skills.
  24. Celestrana replied to ting's topic in Help and Advice
Granite is only used in the member quest Enkhara's Lament (I may have the name wrong...). [hide=Spoiler]The granite is used to make a statue to collapse the roof/ceiling of Enkhara's Temple which was dedicated to Zamorak, prior to him ascending to godhood.[/hide]
  25. Read Tip.it's Skill Guides and Quest Guides to help get yourself familiar with many of the things available to you. I highly recommend working through all the Free-player (F2P) quests first to familiarize yourself with the game basics and with where to find a lot of common items. Train and use your skills to work through the quests. By the time you've completed all the F2P quests, you'll be very familiar with the F2P area -- the in-game World Map is your very good friend. Then, train your skills and work through the Member-quests (P2P). I recommend you go through the quests to unlock a lot of the "freeby" transportation routes, namely Gnome Gliders (The Grand Tree) and Fairy Ring Network (Fairytales I and start Fairytales II). If you work towards getting a Quest Cape and relying on your own non-combat skills to get through most of the quests, then your character will be very well rounded and decently strong to get through most situations. You can, on a practical level, get a Quest Cape in 8 months or less if you decide to use Tip.it's Quest Guides to get through the majority of the quests. I'm saying this from experience because that's how long it took me since I started playing about 8 months ago and only been a member for 6 months. If you need any help, almost all of your questions can be found in all of Tip.it's Guides, guides made by players (Archive of Wisdom "AOW" and Player-Made Guides "PMG") or you can just post a message on the boards about something very specific and somebody will get back to you. Good luck.
