  1. It's about prioritizing things that people actually want and that would actually significantly enhance the aesthetic experience of the game versus irrelevant crap that no one cares about and would scarcely make a difference. Seems like an easy decision to me.
  2. Has time to rework graphics of Skeletons that no one fights and no one cares about, but has no time to do 3 animations per pets so they can override familiars, something which everyone wants. He's their Senior Animator, and then they have the temerity to claim, sorry, we don't have enough animators to do pet animations. Awesome!
  3. Gratz! What location exactly is that in the screenshot? Can't seem to place it.
  4. Partial loottab from the Slayer Weekend (I forget what the rest of stuff was/sold it/Triskies): Not bad at all. |^_^|
  5. Yup, and it's going to have different coloured boxes depending on lootbeam tier. It's absolutely stunning and is way better than the normal beam or the Rainbow beam. Amazing how nice Jagex makes things look when they are micotransactions. Sad though that it was avaiable as a limited time event only. Oh well, I got mine.
  6. Another failed game. Well, I didn't see that coming... Seriously though, they're in for some rough times ahead.
  7. Rite of Passage is definitely not a 'highly anticipated' quest. It was supposed to be novice or beginner or whatever, and involved doing tasks like getting water for Armadyl or whatever. Most people never cared about it, and it was supposed to be released before WE2 or whatever to hype Armadyl's background, but it's been long delayed. Seemed to be the sort of quest where you'd go into a portal, find lots of empty room/instance (Armadyl's world), run around a bit, do the quest, and never end up using the place again. The Myreque is a different matter, it is of course very highly anticipated.
  8. You only get boss timers for God Wars bosses if you solo them and instance is set to allow only one person, if I recall correctly. Most instanced bosses have a maximum threshold for the number of people allowed, which if you end up exceeding, you no longer get a timer. For example, Vorago will only show you a timer if you have 7 people or less.
  9. Yay dead content and expensive drops no one wants! Well these drops won't be too expensive as they're inferior to T90 weaponry in their offensive capabilities. It will be dead content though, unless you're in a large Warbands type group to protect you(and even then there's a chance another group might form to take you out), because most of your time will be spent being trolled by other people. The amount of effort just won't be worth it given the rewards. Heck, on the stream, he killed a Wildy Wyrm, and the drop was a super set...
  10. It doesn't look like they tested with that tier of gear though, that's the problem.
  11. Are these people really this out of touch? Do they really expect people, even obscenely wealthy people, to take that sort of gear to deep wildy in an area near Warbands, that is multicombat with a monster that, to use their own words, "hits like a truck even on t90 armour"? If you take that sort of gear to the wild, nearly all your time will be spent fending off other people rather than actually fighting the Wildy Wyrm. Even if you are successful in killing potential predators, you'll have to retreat to a bank to get more supplies, or the people you killed will probably come back with one item to troll/grief (just like they do in Warbands).
  12. Right it's not that you actually need elite gear for Vorago, well normal Vorago anyways. But if you intend to get good at it and especially do lots of hard mode, then you certainly need good gear. Aside from that, the gear is mostly a "part of the uniform", it's a way of getting onto teams that aren't complete shit.
  13. Staff is perfectly fine. For some reason I forgot to mention it in my previous post.
  14. Comp Cape is not a requirement to get onto Rago Teams. Seismics are the main requirement, though depending on the team they'd let you on with Ascensions as well. Everything aside from that is not optional and is just common sense. Like, Overloads for instance. 95 Prayer, Power Armour and so on. Yak/Unicorn. There are often people who don't have those things and they do fine, but that's what the typical Ragoer has. For example the somewhat well-known PvM'er M1n1 has 45 defence, so obviously he uses Void or whatever, and doesn't Tectonic. As for making money, you'll make money learning how to Rago, but you won't make much money on Hard Mode Attempts since the number of people for Hard Mode means your splits will be dramatically lower (as will your success rate).
  15. Well, over a very long time of course, which is always the case with statistics. Their new RNG model is still stupid, and nowhere near as reasonable as their guaranteed kill model, but with God Wars it really doesn't matter. You can camp them with ease, you will get lots of experience and money, if nothing else...
  16. The God Wars pets in Old School are a 1 in 5,000 drop, just for reference. That's also the drop rate (I personally talked to Mod Ryan about this) in RS3. At one point it was going to be a guaranteed drop at the 5,000th kill, but then they decided to can that idea, and that if you meet the drop rate and you don't get the drop, it will be halved. So if you do 5,000 Bandos Kills, and no pet, then the drop rate for you will be 1/2500, 1/1250, 1/675... Personally, I favored the guaranteed model, but whatever. In any case, God Wars in RS3 is nothing like OSRS. You can use instances in RS3, and you can camp them indefinitely with all the gear, abilities, potions, familiars and other facilities available thanks to power creep. It's not a big deal at all. In fact, God Wars is so easy in RS3 that people actually use it as a training method ever since the advent of fast instances. So yeah. If you're an average high level player, you will easily be able to get a God Wars Pets if you'd like. The decision to keep it prestigious (much like in OSRS) wasn't unreasonable IMO.
  17. The God Wars Pets will be super easy to obtain, so I think you'll be fine, @ Sy.
  18. It has absolutely nothing to do with trust. It's a retarded mechanic. I don't question for a second that my permanent team would ever scam me (never), they would stick with it for as long as needed. The point is though we shouldn't have to do this. Everyone who is present at P9 when Vorago dies should get the title, period. Having to get one kill per person is idiotic. We all have better things to do with our time. and being able to do 15 titles in one kill is dumb too, imo There's absolutely no justification for why despite taking a whole team to accomplish the task, only one person gets the title. Did the Mauler contribute far and beyond the efforts of everyone on the team? Of course not. The effort is more or less equal (not counter Bomb Tank). It's one of silliest forms of artificial difficulty and time wasting there is. "Well, if we actually reward everyone for their efforts, then everyone might actually get what they deserve, but then that's way too many people getting what they deserve, so we had better restrict it to one title per kill!" Such unassailable logic!
  19. Well certainly a better day than I expected: First I got this from the very last gift box: Then I got this: Only took me 2K Edimmus to get it too. Was so infuriating to see people get multiple Shards in far far far fewer kills. But still, I finally did it. I hate the RNG, but usually I persevere. (Also got Ranged Brawlers from them) Edit: Another Shard!
  20. Back to that retarded lottery thing. What is with Jagex's childish obsession with RNG? I don't expect to win anything, meanwhile others are winning multiple prizes. [bleep] Jagex.

  22. It's ugly, the mechanic for it is completely retarded (only mauler gets progress towards it despite the fact that the whole team is needed for the kill), so I won't bother getting it. I would advise doing the same.
  23. Lol PvM is more fun anyways... :) I enjoy PVM as much as anyone else (I have engaged with practically all PVM content in the game in some form), and even I think it'd be nice if skilling was profitable. I thought the GP for Elf Thieving was fine but I knew sooner or later Jagex would give their antiquated "ZOMG, TEH INFLATION" response and nerf it.
