    Xmas Ipods

I can't believe that there's so much arguing over an MP3 player. You all do realize you can buy whichever one you want? You can vote for whoever you want too, that's what's cool about our society. There's no reason for an argument to get so out of hand on these forums, regardless of subject.
  4. Been like over 2 years since I really played.
  5. I'm about what your slowest kid is at, but I don't run or exercise regularily. I had a teacher last year who ran it in 3:57 (when he was younger). I think he was on the olympic team for his Colombia but didn't get anything. There's a kid who goes to my school who does it (well last year) in 4:20, who knows what he's down to this year.

    Christmas gifts?

iPod 30GB Black $158 Polo shirt Chocolate bar The whole Tabasco Hot Sauce collection (no idea what they were thinking, but I think that everything I eat will have hot sauce on it for the next 20 years) Snowboarding screwdriver 3 pair generic ankle-cut socks Gum Other candy and stuff Season pass to the local ski area $5 to a place I go for lunch I'm pretty happy with what I got :).
  7. My old 3G iPod was the best purchase I've ever made I think, and now the new one (with video) that I got is even better. If it was me since I have an iPod though, I'd get a nice digital camera. Both are good choices. If you don't already play guitar I don't see that being the most practical thing to spend money on, and a wacom tablet might be cool but just doesn't entertain me as well as anything else.

    Xmas Ipods

I'll just post it here since you probably aren't the only one wondering... [link]
  9. I don't think it's a [specialInterest], but I really like a well made filet mignon with a lobster tail. I don't really like veggies, but if I had to choose I'd choose asparagus, or a baked potato (even though it's not a vegetable). I think something with chocolate and raspberry is the best flavor combo, so maybe a chocolate raspberry cake for dessert :).
  10. I like his music, have Try!, but I wish there was a non-live version of it. I just don't like live tracks, that's all :P. It is cool because the live tone has kind of a really relaxing feeling to it, kind of like you're there.

    20 questions

Well, it guessed right for me :).
  12. You last played 3,500 years ago? I never had any interest in these games and whatnot. I guess I can understand that some people like it, but at some point they should grow out of it (like girls with their Barbies... They can't be special forever.) For a fourth grader to like to play trading cards is normal (sort of), but a junior in highschool, they need to expand their hobbies.

    SAVE Tookie

A clarification on the Nobel Peace Prize that he supposedly won 5 times over. He didn't win them, he was nominated once. Did you know that anyone can nominate anyone for the Nobel Peace Prize? I don't know, I that he did what he did, and deserves what was coming to him. You can't expect to murder people and get away with it, at least not when caught. Being a founder of Crips doesn't help his situation. He created a monster, there's nothing he can do about that. I know he's writing books, but I don't see what is so special between him and countless other authors who write inspiring children's books? He should just take it. If he doesn't get the death penalty he still will have life in prision. I'd rather die than spend my days like that, or at least I feel that way based on everything I've ever heard about the prision system.
  15. I think I was always a bit skeptical. I don't think I know of an age though, probably 9 or 10 where I just kind of decided not to care.
  16. Well I think it's a good to do selfless acts, I guess that's why I do it. Sure it helps for things but if I am not doing anything else, I don't mind donating a day or two of my time. It's better than sitting around the house. Oh yeah, modding is definately considered a volunteer service :).
  17. I've had a few teachers like that over the years. Best thing to do is have the same answers as a girl and when they are graded, often the girl would have them right but mine were wrong. There's proof. Then you take it to administrators. cloud_nz23, don't you think it's a bit extreme to move schools because of a problem like that?
  18. Do you do any sort of community service (and not the kind where you wear an orange vest and are doing it to get out of a long prison sentence :P). On your own will, do you do anything good for the community? I'd say I do a lot, probably mostly tail building and whatnot since I hike/bike/enjoy the outdoors a lot, but I've done everything from putting playground equipment in to planting trees, reseeding fire damaged areas, etc. I think it would be a really good experience to go to a 3rd world country or disaster area and help there, that would be the ultimate service. That or donating a kidney, which I'd also be willing to do depending on the circumstances. I'd rather do community service than donations. I mean it's all good but at least volunteering yourself you're seeing something happen, whereas your donation could go for anything, even stuff you wouldn't normally want it spent on. I guess lots of stuff could be considered community service, like donating blood or other vital fluids or growing your hair really long (I think it's 10+ inches) and having it cut and a wig made out of it and given to someone undergoing chemotherapy.

  20. My dream house is pretty much built in my head, but I don't want to take up 3 pages describing it. Let's just say it will be big. It will be on the coast next to the ocean, probably in Oregon or California, wherever is nicer. it will have a courtyard in the center with a large, unique water feature. There will be bamboo floor in the main area and a very nice, clean looking kitchen with a large island with a big stove on it, enough to be like a chef at one of those Japanese show/dinner places. There will be stairs, and the landscaping will be beautiful. The garage will be a small parking garage, big enough to hold all of the cars I plan to obtain. That's all that's really important. The ideal job for me would be something that allows me to make my money while still somewhat young and being able to enjoy it as I'm older.

  24. Well, if you broke the law, it doesn't matter who got his attention. Reckless driving is a serious offense, even though it was just a burnout. I think it's ridiculous that a burnout, in some states, gets more demerits than a DUI does. I guess if you're doing a burnout the rationale is that your care is capable of going fast, and you're proving to be difficult upon doing a burnout.
