I don't know how others celebrate Christmas, but we usually have a feast on Christmas Eve called 'Noche Buena.' Family friends and relatives get together and share their food. It's a feast, and an amazing one at that as all Filipino women I know are amazing chefs. From the meals like roasted pig (whole) to desserts such as Leche Flan, I taste a bit of everything :D I gain a lot of weight during these time of year, especially due to the chocolates I receive :o

Feasts > Meals anytime :P

Can I ask what Yorkshire pudding is? While I'm at it, what's sheppards pie? Because I don't think they are what they sound like, at least to North American speak.

Yorkshire pudding has a lot of egg in it, I think. I'm not sure.

Sheperds pie is like chicken pot pie, only instead of chicken its ground beef, and instead of pie crust / pastry thingy, there's mashed potatoes. Excellent stuff

I don't think it's a [specialInterest], but I really like a well made filet mignon with a lobster tail. I don't really like veggies, but if I had to choose I'd choose asparagus, or a baked potato (even though it's not a vegetable). I think something with chocolate and raspberry is the best flavor combo, so maybe a chocolate raspberry cake for dessert :).

its :

1 egg, 4floz milk,4oz flour and a pinch of salt.

mixed till smooth,

heat the oven as high as it will go.

get cake tins that you make the little cakes inand fill each one with some of the batter. cook at top of oven for about 5 mins ish.- voila yorkshire pudding.

i also like it served cooked with sausages in the oven on a lower heat- and we call it toad in the hole here.

also if you add say another half a pint of milk to the batter it makes awesome pancake mixture

hmm food fetishes?... well most food i love, possible chocolate anything. and most vegetables. but prolly a bacon sandwich crispy cooked, on thick bread and a smidge of tomato sauce on it = heaven

orange juice perhaps?or shall i say most food?. i don't find chips appealing tbh, and i detest pizza

Steak and chips for me with onion rings and corn on the cob. No peppercorn sauce (ack, ruins the steak) and i'm not fussy as to the thickness or thinness of the steak. Medium rare.

For dessert, apple pie and custard, can't beat it! :D *pats stomach*

I also love a good Sunday roast, but only the way my mum cooks them

:)

Usually for Christmas lunch we'd have a roast lamb with my paternal grandparents, but this time we're having a barbecue with my favourite barbecue dish: mango chicken.

We spend the evening with my mum's family; her mother, brothers and their families. There's no specific dish we have as everyone always brings something, and then the host makes another main meal so it's like a banquet. But one of my uncle's boyfriends is singaporean (I think ... it's somewhere from southeast Asia), so he always makes oriental exotic dishes, and my other uncle's wife is from south east asia, so it's a fairly varied meal.

Personally ... I like christmas chocolates and whatnot. But I've never had a christmas ham in my life :(
