AniseCookies
Ever have one of those teachers who grade students on how much they like them? My school is filled with them, and I just got a taste of one of them... Yea, well she pretty much knows I'm a suckup  and doesn't seem to like me for it. She grades me and a few others totally off from the other class! One time, I looked over an essay (Grade was a 76%) And I was furious because I NEVER do that bad, and I looked over it and ended up getting a 92%... Oh, by the way, this happend 11 times! And compared to the other classes, she makes the due dates a couple of weeks earlier and makes us do extra work. And lastly, (I had a 97% in the class) and she comes up to me and says, "I don't think you can handle the accelerated course." And kicks me out. Is this just my school, or do people have this other places?
D_u_e_s
what a .. you kno..!! i have a teacher that is sexist. I ask to go to the library, he says no because last time instead of doing something "acedemic" i was playing with puzzles! and the girl was doing it with me. She asks after me and he says sure!! kinda sux. my art teacher is the footbal and wrestling coach (i play both) and he gives me 97% all the time, no matter how bad my drawing is. I take it to advantage tho.. :D who wouldnt't!

knives669
Yeah. Some teachers in my school are like that. Go to the principal/school board, (her boss) and talk to them about it. It's unfair and I'm sure that her superiors will be displeased.
Peter
I've had a few teachers like that over the years. Best thing to do is have the same answers as a girl and when they are graded, often the girl would have them right but mine were wrong. There's proof. Then you take it to administrators. cloud_nz23, don't you think it's a bit extreme to move schools because of a problem like that?
Zibl
Story sounds a bit farfetched  , but I do know what your talking about. However it hasn't happened at all at my school. To anyone. A teacher may not like you, and not give you an extra push (say you make a 92 on a test... she may keep it there or bump it to a 93). Stuff like that. But they don't drop grades dramatically like your's did, and they'd never say "We don't think you are ready for this course" and kick anybody out. AThousandLies
Why are you complaining if you're a suck-up? That means that the teacher ISN'T grading people based on how much she likes them.
Mercifull
Make a formal complaint if you honestly belive the teacher is being bias. If you are only ranting because you are annoyed then nothing is gonna happen, but if you are right then something WILL get done. Put your money where your mouth is... Hulk12
Yes I think this happens almost everywhere. When I feel I've been wronged I'll try and meet with the teacher after class (arguing about it in class just can worsen things). Theres one teacher that doesn't seem to like me. I'm thinking it's because of me not being athletic like all the pets of hers. But never the less, I do all my work and keep records of it. If she trys some BS story I can just use that. Necromagus
During my fourth year we went to a large literary convention for Dutch, lots of famous writers, poets, etc. The teacher had fallen ill at the last moment. To cheer her up I had gotten a book signed for her by one of the most famous modern Dutch writers/poets. It took a bit of elbow work and a V.I.P. pass to get in the writer's lunchroom, but from the moment I gave her the book I never got in trouble for handing my coursework in late again. Gamerr
Mwa, i think in my school teachers don't got their favorites, some act a little friendlier against some of my fellow students. But i think it's normal that some teachers get pissed of some students, and aren't friendly against them. It's kinda forbidden, but it happens. vmser
Yeah Ive had a few. Always been in the good books though :D Without too much effort. My maths/science teachers always had the 'we know you know it'-attitude towards me.. Loved oral exams too.. Could just have a little chat with the teacher too. My religion exam was sheduled to take 10 minutes. Took 45 mins in reality. 98% that term :D I did tend to make it difficult on myself.. One term we had to take a text from another religion.. Make this work about it, and be able to explain every single little detail about it. Then explain to class in about 20 minutes. I had a text from buddhism, about the chain of causality and reincarnation and all.. Teacher read it and said it was too hard. But right after he challenged me to try. Super score or fail the subject was my choice. Ended up with 99% :D

Ape
Haha, funny this topic came up. The day before yesterday; me and Rhys bumped into our Technology (DT) teacher. He said: "Right boys, when you've finished the design on Pro Desktop(some crap designing program) give the other kids a hand." So... We go in... (By the way, the assignment was to design a table in this program) Me and Rhys, COMPLETELY draw the X-Box, almost perfectly as our table-top and then we threw some legs on and it looked pretty cool. Anyways, we're finished. Whilst the other kids have barely done a basic table with a top and four legs. So, we just sit there waiting for them to ask for help. One kid asked and Rhys went over to give him a hand. Anyways, the lesson ends and we go for dinner. At the end of dinner we were heading to Science and we walked past that Tech teacher again and he said "Down my room at the end of the day, boys." So we were like: "Aye, whatever." We went down after Science and he said "Stand there, boys." And he pointed against the wall. So, we stood there and he said: "I understand you completely ignored the task given today?" *Silence* "I asked you to give the other boys a hand, didn't I?" Me: "Yeah, we gave hand when asked." "Well, I was told you didn't give any sort of help whatsoever, is that true?" Rhys: "No." Him: "Well, you're not working to the best of your ability boys, I'm telling you. The two boys who wanted to drop Tech beat you in that challenge." (By the way, that challenge was bull and was nothing to do with this, but he decided to include it to make us feel bad) "So, do you think you could put alot more effort into this?" Rhys: "No, it's not our job to teach the class, sir." And considering this teacher hasn't even seen our work for the past three weeks. I think he's in for a little surprise when he sees our's compared to the other people's. Summary So, after me babbling on; to sum things up... He basically asked us to teach the class. Which we didn't... So he punished us. There is nothing in the school's curriculum where it says: "Children have to teach the class." I don't think he understands... Maybe we should go to speak to him. What do you lot think? -Mitch- New sig to come!

Bubsa
Something like this happened to me a couple of years back, marking wise. Well, I had this English teacher. Decent bloke, we got on OK, no major issues. So, we have to hand in this essay and I let my friend borrow...well OK copy my work as he was really in a pickle. I let him, we hand in our work, I get a C, he gets an A. I thought, well that's odd. Similar thing happens with two other classmates, who again end up with different grades. We begin to think marking has gone a bit off here, as usually the man is a good, fair marker. So a friend and I did a piece of work word for word, not an important piece mind, and hand it to him. We both get our marks back and there's a 10 mark difference. We go to our teacher after the lesson and tell him: "Look, I think there's a problem with our marking here." Reluctantly, he goes back over the papers. "Ah...right" he says. We ask if there's any particular reason and the man, bluntly and honestly tells us "To be honest guys, I simply couldn't be arsed reading through everyone's paper. I skim read". I simply shook his hand and left. I can't blame them sometimes; they do get swamped with work and it's just like when I can't be bothered with essays, sometimes, teachers can't be as well. I dunno, maybe there's a slight chance of this in your case :P This is how much you all raised for charity. Thank you.
