KnightLite
1 mile = 5280 feet 5280 feet = 1624.6 meters Well i'm rather stoked. Our basketball coach is a madman (makes Coach Carter look like a softy). My teamates and I are in the best shape we've even been in our lives. On Dec 23 (day b4 christmas eve), the coach took us out to the track to time our miles. Our slowest mile time was 7:30 (the kid is 6'4" and 240 lbs, fatty). I had the fastest mile time there was with 4:34, beating my previous self-record of 4 minutes and 51 seconds. Please post your mile run time here. I'd be willing to bet i have the fastest time here :D - Only character in Runescape History maxed out in RSC and RS2
rocketman089
I run a lot, and 4:34 is just insane. I can't imagine getting anything under 5:45. Fastest I've got was 6:02 in PE class, and that was really, really pushing it. Gamertag: King Arizona
Vape
I was just wondering.. what makes this mile run topic any more "official" than any other mile run topic? Where the bloody hell are you?

Exarch
Right now, who knows. But in grade 6, I ran 1500 metres in about 7 minutes. I think. It was a long time ago.
____
last time I did a 1500m run I clocked in at about 5:17 So throw another 30 seconds onto that and you probably got the time for a mile.
Bubsa
I don't know actually. About to go for a run though so I'll try and time myself when I get back :) This is how much you all raised for charity. Thank you.
Peter
I'm about what your slowest kid is at, but I don't run or exercise regularily. I had a teacher last year who ran it in 3:57 (when he was younger). I think he was on the olympic team for his Colombia but didn't get anything. There's a kid who goes to my school who does it (well last year) in 4:20, who knows what he's down to this year.

ice_ring
Back during Cross Country season, my pace for a 3 mile run was around 6:30 so if I was just doing one mile I'd say around 5:30.
Faux
Not hard to believe cause in grade 8, our cross country runs go for 3 kilometres and the top runners finish in less than 8 minutes. I got for at least 11  Top shape than most though :P :: Guess the Movie Contest Champion: pfilc23 ::
VOV
I was just wondering.. what makes this mile run topic any more "official" than any other mile run topic? The only way to make a thread official is to add brackets containing the word to your post title. For example: "[Official] Mile Running Thread" would be the correct way to ensure officiality. I know the price. I pay it gladly.

Phil
I think I would die trying to run a mile quickly. Put me in a 100m sprint and I'm happy :)
Scruffy5389
Last timed run I did was two miles, 11:51, so I could probably do a mile in 5:30. It might take me a few weeks to get back in that kind of shape though.
Chris
We didn't run in miles, we ran in kilometres. Weird for a country that uses miles per hour as our measurement of speed in all motor vehicles. We used to run a 2km run every year to test our fitness. In first and second year I can't remember what I got. But in third year I "ran" it in 14 mins and something seconds. 8) Okay... So I walked. Sprinted away from the Teacher so they couldn't annoy us and me and a few mates walked it. :) Notoriously Trollish.

lemonberri
I'm really out of shape now. I can barely run/jog a 7:30 mile. The only ever timed running I did was two years ago, 2 miles in 14 minutes. Wasn't in great shape then either. :?
