dark_ice
I finished 9th in Louisiana state cross country meet :D My fastest time during the season was running a 3 mile in 19:00. With my 3 mile pace I would finish my first mile in 5:45ish. So i could take off a decent amount of time if I was only running 1 mile.

KnightLite
4:52.72 :D varsity track and to the original poster...join track lol. that time will send you down state. you wont win, but you'll make the meet :P I'd rather be an all-state pitcher for my baseball team. I asked if i could do both track and baseball but it's against the rules now :( I did track last year for a little bit. I had heart surgery on February 14th of 2005, so i joined track not really to be competitive, but to get back in shape. Couldn't do much running so i did the running long jump. Maxed out at 20 feet 9 inches. Btw insane, nice mile time  - Only character in Runescape History maxed out in RSC and RS2

We dont have x-country for middle school (6-8) but im in 10th grade so yeah i run cross country and i dont know what your talking about with 11-12 mins because in cross country your normally talking about the 5k (10k at college levels) And there is no effin way that you ran a 3.1 course in 11-12 minutes i dont care what you say....i would see you on the news. That is a perfect 4 min or less mile straight, and you slow down as distance increases so your mile time would have to range from 2-3:30. And 2:02 is my HALF mile time. In cross-country i run the 5k in 16:12 (that's my PR (Personal Record)). I'm not sure if even the olympic guys are that fast......or maybe they are but i doubt it

I run it in around 48 (maybe few seconds faster, maybe few seconds slower, haven't timed recently), and i knew i could beat him, but i couldn't run last year. - Only character in Runescape History maxed out in RSC and RS2

Ne0z
thats really fast knight, you could go somewhere with your running :o but for me im not a track person. Id rather play sport. I usually play rugby and basketball ( mostly rugby ) so im about the same with my strength and speed. Although i wanna train a bit more in 2006 and get my 100 metres time into the 10's if im lucky and get my 400 metre time down to 50 or under. I know this guy who can run it in 48.... Hes like regional champ for several different events... ie highjump, longjump etc... Hes real good at athletics.
How2PK
4:34, that's pretty fast. That would be a world record 40 years ago. :P I think I'd be somewhere between 5 and 6 nowadays.
