I know this is quite late, but The Sun Also Rises is his defining work in my opinion. It's beautiful. I'm just about done with On the Road by Kerouac. It's good, but doesn't seem to have the profoundness I thought it would. The Sun Also Rises is the Hemingway novel I decided to pick up. I love it so far, been a bit busy moving though, so I haven't had time to finish it yet. Ah, good to hear you like it! I love Hemingway's style: simple and bold. The few cues and details he provides are enough to let the reader's mind go exactly where Hemingway intended it to go while reading.

You guys are seriously missing out. I've been to Disney World with my entire family (G&G, Aunt, Uncle, two cousins, Mom, Dad, Sister) three times. Once when I was in second grade, again in 6th, and the last time in 10th grade. My grandparents are relatively well-off and love spending their money on family so they fly everyone down and put us up in one of the resorts for about five days. We're probably going to go again over Christmas break this year. I absolutely loved it every time I've been there. You have permission to act like a total child anywhere in the Disney complex and it can be tons of fun if you let it.

Swimming is part of Sailing, duh. The higher Sailing level, the better swimmer you are.

You'll regret not having that money when you're broke and there's still two months before finals this spring. I hate my job with a passion, but it's only another week and a half before I go back and having the money is more important than sitting around my house doing nothing. I will have plenty of free time during school.

Rashômon (1950) It was very good even if the acting was a tad over the top, but that's the nature of Japanese film. If you've ever seen Hero (2002) or Basic (2003), Rashômon is where those directors got their ideas from.

Yeah, like others said, you'll be back! :P I find that browsing TIF is a great way to break up homework. There are days I spend 10+ hours a day on Saturdays and Sundays doing research in the library and having a distraction like TIF is a good way to take a break. Browsing the forums for 10-20 minutes every few hours, checking Facebook, or playing a game of chess on Pogo help me drop what I'm doing and come back fresh. College isn't as scary as it seems. I was a total slacker in high school despite getting average grades and now I'm a dedicated student. It's all part of growing up. Dedication and discipline are all it takes to succeed. That and making good acquaintances with your professors. Good luck with your studies! :D

I get upset when I have to take courses from lazy professors. I'm paying a lot of money per credit and I want to at least have some sort of challenge.

I could care less if I got paid or not. I don't even know how much the director will be paying me, but I got like $350 for the week last year which was pretty sweet. We're good friends so I doubt he'd cheap out on me :P

I just finished the final day of drill camp with my drumline. The kids are doing great and about half of the show is very clean, even at 180bpm. Paradiddlediddles, tap-rolls, flam-taps, cheeses, hertas, pudadas, and all!

Last summer we had some people reside our house. 6am every morning they were pounding on the walls. So god damn annoying...but now we have beautiful siding!
